My Hero Academia (僕ぼくのヒーローアカデミア Boku no Hīrō Akademia?) is a manga series serialized by Shonen Jump and written by Kohei Horikoshi. The series has been adapted into an anime series and three movies, as well as spawning the prequel series Vigilantes and spinoffs: School Briefs and Team-Up Missions.
The story is set in the modern-day, except people with special powers called "Quirks" have become commonplace throughout the world. In a world of chaos and confusion, Pro Heroes have now risen as the new profession to fight off powerful super villains.
A young boy named Izuku Midoriya is Quirkless, meaning he has no powers, but he still dreams of becoming a great hero one day.
Izuku Midoriya (緑みどり谷や出いず久く Midoriya Izuku?), also known as Deku (デク Deku?), is the main protagonist of the My Hero Academia manga and anime series.
Even though Izuku was born Quirkless, he manages to catch the attention of the legendary Hero All Might, due to his innate heroism and a strong sense of justice, and has since become his close pupil, as well as a student in Class 1-A at U.A. High School. All Might passed on his transferable Quirk to Izuku, making him the ninth wielder of One For All.
Following the Paranormal Liberation War, with Tomura Shigaraki and All For One actively targeting Izuku for his Quirk, he decided to leave U.A. before finishing his first year to keep his classmates out of harm's way.[4] After encouragement and support from his friends, he later returns to the school and leads the heroes against the villains in one final battle to save the world. After the Final War, Izuku managed to defeat Tomura and All For One, but at the cost of rendering himself Quirkless once more.

Don’t think so season 7 has consistently looked nice and has adapted the manga well

I agree. But I think the point was that some of the better looking fights in mha has not only adapted them 100% but also took their own liberty and added a bit more SAUCE in them. Dabi vs shoto is super accurate and looks great. But they could have added a bit more. But I’d say I prefer a fight like that over deku vs shigaraki first fight

Season 7 has been amazing so far. Season 5 had scheduling issues due to covid and other stuff, and season 6 just needed a better direction (which season 7 has more production time and a new director)

People have been getting on me recently cuz I’ve said My Hero hasn’t hit since Season 4 fr based on the animation, direction, vibes etc. but their argument is that oh “ThErE tRYiNg TheIR BeSTtT” and “YoU’VE NevER mADe aN AniMe ThO”… You have to be delusional not to see the dip the quality from earlier my hero to now, especially with the unnecessary attention they give the movies(seriously), it’s ridiculous how hard they go for shit that is not source material. And I don’t need to be a Animator or Director to tell when something is objectively worse than it was in a previous state😭 I just want them to make My Hero feel how it did for Seasons 1-4. I appreciate even getting an adaptation at all, but Bones hasn’t been taking My Hero as seriously as they used to or claim they do
@kq5956
@kq5956 22 күн бұрын
You're clearly arguing with idiots so ill give you an explanation. Okay so, During the earlier seasons of My Hero, BONES had enough source material for more than one season meaning they can work on more than one season at a time giving them more than a year for each season due to the actual year they are given and extended time during the currently airing season. But when we started getting toward season 5 we started to catch up to the manga getting close to the current events that along with Horikoshi taking more breaks between chapters leads to less time to animate. So when they already only have a year and to animate it wont look that good. Look at JJK Mappa, a studio that slaves their workers still needed two and a half three years to make season 2 look that good. Expecting top tier animation from a year or so is blasphemous. So thats why someone might say they are trying their best. Next you mentioned them spending more time on the movies. 1. Movie schedules are more flexible you can change the release date whenever. 2. The team that works on the movies is not the same as the one that works on the anime its been like this the whole time from season 5 to now the team that works on the anime is never uses on the movies so the movies creation is a non factor because of they weren't working on the movies they'd be working on another anime or something. Sorry for yapping just wanted to explain why this is because people seem to think BONES doesn't care about My Hero or doesn't take it seriously while this may be the case it makes sense for it to be the factors I mentioned.

The movies are canon you dolt Horikoshi is consulted and they have made sure there are no glaring contradictions. Season 5 might have been slover but you are genuenly delusional if you think nothing in season 6/7 is good.

I gave up on the anime in season 4, picked it up back like a month ago and cant say I was disappointed as someone who hasn’t read the manga. I enjoyed the mirio shi and todoroki family stuff. I also enjoyed the hawks spy stuff. The twice moments were also decent. Miriko 1v5 is also godly imo

Yes i have noticed the animation and fight choreography in mha. I really want for the animators to get their fair share for what they animate. I just hope this doesn't take away the animation from animating the rest of the story. Yes I can agree Horikoshi art is just cool its as if with each one he's getting better. Also there is a fan animation made for Gear Shift Quintuple smash looks cool of you look it up. It was phenomenal.

As my hero academia enthusiastic, I have to be honest that the first few seasons' animation was kind of bad, but season 6-7 Has the best quality in the whole anime, sometimes in season 6, but for season 7, its every time, especially the upcoming episodes and the new episode that came out today.

It’s not the animation, it’s the director being not the best at delivering how events play out, the animation is fine, the direction is just lame, hell even one of the JJK Animators worked on My Villain Academia and it looked way better than what the direction of the actual product was.

There's a few main issues with the visuals of the show which are the reasons I've stopped following it a couple of years ago 1. The scene compisition and direction as a whole leaves a lot to be desired, MHA at the beginning had scenes with very strong intereting character designs that would add nice visual variation to each scene even without being very high priority action sequences such as a Yutaka Nakamura cut, it didn't always need a big name animator to look interesting, now it feels too often where the characters while consistent just look the same, and the way a lot of limeted scenes are framed are always some kind of implied movement scene a wide character based shot etc which isn't interesting 2. Next the problem isn't just the blue sky, it's the fact that the blue sky kinda takes any atmosphere out of the scene, Shiggy vs Deku and Bakugo is a big example, it should've had everything clad in smoke and fire, the art direction and compositing nowadays is nonexistent. 3. Finally, the biggest issue is the pretty bad schedule, everything i list up top has all culminated because of the poor release schedule that the staff has to abide under a really crappy yearly schedule bc of thw sheer amount of movies that some of said staff have to divert to, a lot of this stuff wouldn't be a problem if the staff had time to cook.

Yes, it is, obviously. We all have eyes to watch animations. I find this question to be loaded and misleading. The people complaining about the animation is comparing with a sub 6 season, high budget, terrible work environment studios. In other words, straw man. By the way, it’s Boku no *Hero* Academia, you self-claimed fan. I will now debunk the figurative Four Horsemen of the issue. 1) The movies: ‘are they wasting their budget on movies’? Most people think so, but that’s only a surface level look. The movies are the ones that gather budget, as per industry standard. You see, we live in an era of dozens of projects per season, most are new. Every show of this size has to put up a movie to encourage investors. It’s not just MHA. 2) “the production pacing is too fast”; it’s not at all any faster compared to the other similar projects. We all tend to look at the gorgeous shots from Vinland Saga or something and it’s easy to say ‘well, why aren’t they doing that too?’, but the reality is that staff keep making pleads on social media on how they are overworked and have no time to recuperate. Also, the production schedule is not decided by HR, it’s by the popularity. Everything is a money game in anime. You may pick Mob Psycho 100, another project in the same Studio Bones, but that show had almost the half the seasons in nearly same span of time. These comparisons are unfair and invalid. Chalking it up to “competition breeds quality’ is a clueless claim, there already is more than enough competition in the industry with almost 50 individual studies operating at any given time and in this particular one, more brings down work environment quality, instead of raising end results. Which brings to 3) ‘why don’t they pace themselves better, then?’. Managing a studio is always about capital. Nobody gets paid when nothing is being done, unfortunately, and so, if they were to pace themselves slower, they wouldn’t be able to gather animators, because everyone wants to go to a big studio where they can network better and have better resume. It’s a vicious cycle with a very specific balancing. This involves the increasingly lowering Yen value and geopolitics as well but that is all I am going to say on that without going too far off tangent. The final point isn’t even a real point but it’s still a popular one: “the source material is bad to begin with”. It’s a subjective opinion if I ever saw one. What are we comparing it with? Horikoshi gets dogged on for the choreography a lot. Your example in the video was Dabi vs (Shoto) Todoroki, let’s take a look. It starts with the setup, a history flashback of Dabi explaining why he feels justified to be himself. This makes up the first act of storytelling, the presentation of conflict. Then we get a short exposition on how he is able to use Endeavor’s techniques. He goes on to use them to beat Shoto down, which ends in giving Shoto some distance and time while showing the set piece of large buildings getting demolished in the process. Now, Shoto is seen injured but combat capable. Shoto goes on with exposition of his own about the techniques he’s about to use, and Dabi realizes his flames are being neutralized, which also sets up how he wasn’t fatally wounded at the same time. This segment marks the escalation of the conflict with lots of action. Keep in mind, we’re talking the choreography and not the animation amounts, there’s no animation on manga. Finally, we reach a stage where Endeavor Agency pros back up Shoto to give him time to start his tricks again, blocking the barrages from Dabi and making a path for Shoto to come in. All Might’s statues symbolically melts down in this new generational conflict all in the meanwhile, setting up a narrative set piece. The final hit from Shoto is seen by the boys as the kid as version of themselves, and it is gorgeously used as we conclude the third narrative act of resolution. All characters had their places in this moment, it was used in conjunction with the back drop, and followed the narrative point. This text book sequence could not have possibly been set up better, I don’t care how many anime you say you watch. Horikoshi has shown himself to expertly understands the narrative format, uses set pieces sparingly and effectively, and no character was left unused. That’s not his fault, that goes to the animation team and I explained why they are this way already. It’s become a bit of a meme to trash talk this show. I have never seen a show get treated so unfairly as MHA. Compared to other shows of the length like Dragon Ball Super, One Piece, or Naruto - the fair comparison - the characters in MHA stay quite consistent, the censorship and lack of set pieces isn’t nearly as bad, and the action gets spread out over as opposed to most of the casts becoming completely useless. The worst thing haters can call this show is that it’s mid(mediocre). That’s not a bad insult in a over saturated market like this modern anime industry. You are as entitled to your opinion as your viewers are the comments, but it’s only fair that should all give it some thoughts. They are doing their best.

They are making another movie. Ofc what do people expect. The quality of first 3 seasons went to sh1t. We haven't seen 1 min of gpod quality continuous animation. The major reason why season 1 became so famous is because of that amazing allmight vs nomu animation. And same can be said about izuku vs shoto in season 2. Horikoshi's art is already really hard to animate and they are now doing a movie which extra kills the animation.
