still needs: full 52 weeks + Calendar and ability to view past shows like 2008. Custom Draft should allow you to pick who is eligible in the opening draft pool. Able to view and renew contracts would be nice... no idea why that got removed. Actively view all champions and the ability to STRIP THE TITLE from an injured superstar, or even not assign first champions would be nice. Brand wars again, like a WarGames match, shared big 4 PLEs. its fine but so much lacking still.

The best thing is submission matches. It was so freakin' annoying, when you had a big rivalry on your brand, but one of the wrestlers missed the PPV. You couldn't end the rivalry, and had to wait around until the next PPV.

It would be nice to see how many matches the wrestlers won and lost and how long they held the belt, these are available in Universe mode and old svr GM modes. Also, there is no mix match,power rankings and no manager in one vs one matches.Sorry for my english

They need to add a brand invasion type deal where a random point in the season superstars from opposing brands will come in and interrupt matches and rivalries leading into rivals forming temporary alliances leading to bring the fight to other brands.

Going against Xavier Woods and Mick Foley as CPU GMs is a nightmare. Woods stole my most popular superstar and Foley injured two of my bigger rivalrys so then I lost for the next couple weeks. I like the degree of difficulty but man I was getting railed by the CPU GMs.

Yeah I've honestly been super lucky, I haven't been hit by woods in over 4 seasons but that sucks man. I try not to use any cards against them until weeks 7-10 so they have most likely spent the card already, that way when they retaliate, it won't hit as hard

Me and my friend had a play through, a pretty big glitch that I found was my friend lost the season but it gave him the hall of fame badge for winning. Another thing I found while playing through is I’m getting a ridiculous number of power cards. It kind of kills the excitement for me because when I played on 2k22 and got a power card it felt a lot more meaningful. Snake order and redrafting are definitely some great feature’s though

I didn't play GM mode in last year's game but I decided to play it this year and I'm really not a fan of it I don't get why we start off in a gym That's dumb what Raw or SmackDown you see recently in a high school gym and why a star rating system that is not going to be utilize in GM mode that don't make sense 2k needs to get rid of it I wanted to like this mode but it is nowhere near SVR GM mode it don't even compare

For anyone who likes MyGM, here's a quick guide to win every season: For the draft: Your first targets should be 5/5 mic skill wrestlers with as high of stamina as possible. You can check their stats during the draft by highlighting that superstar and pressing square on ps4/5 or x on xbox. Anyways, sort by stamina and find the top 4 5/5 superstars with the best stamina. Popularity and star power DO NOT MATTER during the draft, the only thing that doesn't change is legend star power, which you can't get until post-draft anyways. Popularity will change star power over time, as its not locked to that level, so don't stress it too much. Classes, however, do matter, so also balance your picks accordingly. Sometimes you'll end up with more faces or heels, but just do your best to balance it out later in the draft when the best superstars are all gone anyways. I typically get 1 of each specific class per gender, and 2 specialists per gender. This will net you 12 total wrestlers, which should leave you with about 300k assuming you go with 3.25 million starting budget. If you are starting with 2.75, shoot for 10 total wrestlers, so 1 of each class per gender. Once you've made your first 4 picks (ideally 2 male 2 female), there likely won't be any 5/5 mic skills left, so start targeting 4/5 if there's no 5s left. The 2nd set of 4 picks isn't as important as your first 4 picks, so if you have a bunch of 3/5 mic skills in the draft but they have high stamina (80-85+), target them first. This should be your second set of 4 picks. I highly recommend going for lower budget superstars with 3/5 mic skills for your final 2-4 picks. Once you've drafted your 10-12 superstars, you should still have appx 300k-400k. This is the end of your draft. I recommend having 4 females, and 6 males since theres no intermediate womens championship, but definitely be sure that you get at least 2 of each class. It will be impossible to find a 5/5 giant, and most bruisers and cruisers are not higher than 4/5, so keep that in mind. You have an opportunity to change/upgrade this later, so try not to sweat that too much either. From week 1-week 5, your #1 goal is MONEY MONEY MONEY. Don't stress fans as much for the first 5 weeks because they will come later, I promise. Your first 2 weeks, make sure you set your faces and heels to be balanced for optimum chemistry, so make your fighters heels and bruisers faces, or vice versa. If you ended up going with only bruisers, fighters, and specialists (also a viable option) then you should set all of your classes as either face or heel for that specific class, that way the opposite class has multiple pairing options once rivalries are resolved. So your first 6 promos (4 if you play on easy) will all be dedicated to changing roles as needed. Any remaining spaces should be set to advertisements (5/5 mic skills ONLY, and never below 65 popularity) or self promo (4/5 or 5/5 ONLY). If you only have a 3/5 left, use them to start a rivalry, or run a charity event. For your matchups, consider the following: 1) Prioritize opposite classes always for the match bonus. 2) If you can't match with the opposing class, match with a specialist. If you don't have either, run a triple threat with 3 different classes for a match bonus. 3) Your first 2 weeks should all be normal, table, extreme rules, or last man standing matches, in that order. Your goal is to get everyone as close to equal in stamina as possible, so run your highest stamina people in the more demanding matches, and give your tired people normal matches. 4) Run ins with leftover people are a good way to start a rivalry, but don't do a run in on a normal match as it will cause a DQ and ruin the match quality. Also, do not do a run in on anyone you don't want to start a rivalry with, but if you do, you can only start a rivalry with someone who doesn't have an active rivalry, or someone who is in a level 1 rivalry. 5) Mix the variety of matches (singles, tag, triple threat, fatal 4) and match types (normal, tables, extreme rules, etc) and genders as much as possible for each show. 6) Set up your opposing wrestlers based on stamina similarity and popularity when possible. With popularity tho, pairing a lesser superstar with a more popular one, can get them over, especially in a rivalry, without the more popular star losing popularity. 7) DRAMA CURVE MATTERS for the event card, so always put your title shots and best matches first and last. For PPV/PLE, you can put a 3rd best match in the middle slot to maintain a possible amazing card rating. When selecting your show logistics, always put everything at the highest level it can go. It will increase your show quality, therefor making your matches higher quality, even when it's a simple normal type match. I've had normal matches for a title shot between 2 85+ popularity superstars and they've gone for 4.5 stars. So ALWAYS get the best logistics you can. If you've followed this guide, you'll never have an issue with this. Morale: This is an underrated priority, but if superstars become unhappy, it can fuck you, hard. They will demand 100k bonus, or walk. If you have 1 wrestler do this early, it can really make your life difficult. You do receive the money (or at least a portion) back, but you'll have to replace them, and sometimes it's hard to do so the same week. This will ruin rivalries, drop titles, etc, so always accept the requests of the wrestlers, and ALWAYS complete those requests, even if it means screwing up 1 show. You can always work around it if you're creative enough. Sometimes you can even kill 3 requests in a single match, so give yourself time to strategize and plan. Post week 5: Ideally, you'll get your first shakeup round if you selected this feature. If you didn't, you fucked up. These cards completely improve the game, there's no question. Some cards will give all your superstars of a specific class +3 mic skills PERMANENTLY, which can be a gamechanger. Also, be sure to read carefully, as I've gotten some obscure but incredibly powerful cards, like earning $200 for every point of popularity over 60 your run in superstars have. I earned nearly 400,000 off this single card in a 5 or 10 week span (sorry can't remember exactly, but it's powerful af trust me) if you're well equipped. I had numerous superstars at 100 popularity when I popped this shake up, so it was the easy choice. Think about your roster and read the cards carefully, then make the best selection FOR YOUR specific roster. Power up cards: If you can afford these in the store, the best ones are definitely superstar training, spa days, and fan promotion. Superstar training will turn any 5 week or 10 week jobber contract, into a permanent year contract, which also gives them the chance to increase their mic skills. I've seen 1/5 jobbers go to 5/5 with this card, as well as 1/5 staying the same, so choose higher mic skills if using the superstar training if possible. Otherwise, 1/5 is fine if it's the cheapest contract. This means you will gain a 1 year contract on a superstar for as little as 5k (minimum 5 week contract cost) and as high as 90k if you buy the superstar training from the store after an opponent pops the 2x store price card on you, AND you sign a 10 week contract from a 50 popularity jobber who's been signed but has NOT been superstar trained ever before. If they've had a card used on them, they won't be applicable again, and you won't know until you sign them. ONLY JOBBERS CAN BE USED FOR THIS. If they have had one used on them before and they're 1/5 mic skills, go to manage roster and drop them for some of your money back. Once you've finished your first 4 weeks, you will likely need to sign 2-4 people to fill your PPV/PLE card. NEVER LEAVE A PROMO SLOT EMPTY. Ideally, if you can get superstar cards early with some luck, you can get these 2-4 for super cheap. If not, that's okay, you can always sign a couple people to 5 week contracts to get you by. Once you've done your first shake up, your first PPV/PLE, and have saved appx 400-750k during the first 5 weeks, this should allow you to sign between 2-6 superstars to help fill your roster and give your first 10-12 some respite time after their grinding. Your end goal for a roster is 20-22. I've had success with as little as 18, and as many as 30, but it becomes increasingly difficult to balance and manage their stamina and popularity respectively. 20-22 is the magic range. If you MUST sign a favorite superstar that becomes available later that's fine, but try to drop someone in their place if you're already at 22. Once you get your core 16-18 roster, you should be focusing all of your attention to increasing your fan count. The money will flow as well, but once you have 22, you can really only spend it on better logistics upgrades, and power up cards. ALWAYS BUY WHAT YOU CAN, just DO NOT GO BROKE lol Always leave a minimum of 300k in the bank when planning a card. Using charity will be a huge boost, and Fan Promotions will net you up to 350k fans and higher depending on your total count. ONLY USE FAN PROMOTION POWER UP CARDS ON PPV/PLE. They are 5-6x more powerful on these weeks. Lastly, once you finish the season, you will be allowed to keep 3 superstars If you finish in first place during the first season. POPULARITY AND MIC SKILLS ARE ALL THAT MATTER HERE. STAMINA AND MORALE WILL BE RESET. Keep this in mind during wrestlemania, nothing worse than doing a GM interference on someone you keep, only to piss them off and ruin their morale so they leave. Hope this helps you all. Love

Great write up! Only thing I'd strongly disagree with is drafting 10 superstars on a $2.75m budget, I recommend *at least* 14. You want 2x tag matches in week one with both titles on the line (men's tag and women's tag) to give an immediate 4 x 10 popularity boost to superstars. This ties up 8 superstars already. 2 x singles matches takes you to 12 and then you need to fill multiple promo slots - and this doesn't even take triple threats or fatal four ways into consideration. 14-15 is the sweet spot, imo.

Impo you don't need the popularity boost to start if you draft 10, because you have just enough to field a full card, with the exception of needing to grab 1 temporary contract for weeks 1-4 and grab 3 more temporaries at week 5 for the full card, maybe i didn't mention this. If you wait until weeks 11-15, you have time to build up your roster and even everything out with about 16 on your roster by now hopefully, then you can add the titles to put your lowest people on that 10+ boost once you've established a rhythm with that specific roster. I find it's easier to start tag teams later as a means to mitigate weakness later if you have some unlucky cards thrown your way. I just finished my 3rd season and I'm leading by 900,000 fans and already finished the hall of fame 10/10 with the base roster. Just finished my 2nd roster last night with all unlocked wrestlers and some custom wrestlers, fixed/balanced the classes, roles, and overall total count of the available pool (this was done to increase difficulty overall), and just hit week 12, leading by 30k fans and 100k. Lowest popularity is 63 on a jobber, and highest is 97 with my woman's champ. On average the roster is sitting at about 80 popularity and 72 stamina is the lowest on my roster right now. I have 16 on my current roster

@DiamondLobby Wrestling I think ultimately your amount of possible slots in draft ENTIRELY depends on your roster roll for the draft, and/or if you have a custom roster. I typically end up drafting a few less because of my strategy of focusing on stamina and mic skills, usually higher stamina and mic skills costs a bit more overall, but it also makes you a ton of money in weeks 12-25 once you have popularity up, so you can run ads and stack your cash. This is especially true after unlocking all your level 1 logistics and getting those show bonuses for additional popularity.

I still have some stuff I wanna know whether was fixed or not: - Can jobbers still win matches and start rivalries? IMO they should be incapable of both - Does GM interference not cause a DQ (it actually states that it should be no DQ in a tooltip)? In 2k22 it seemed to be a copy/paste of the normal manager functions. At the very least the ref should not be able to eject the GM! - Did they figure out a way to make interference make more sense? It was so weird that GM interference helps the target, but wrestler interference attacks the target. Flip flop! - Are injuries more realistic? Seems pretty dumb that all that happens is they are out for 3 weeks at most - Did they fix the bugs with contracts ending? A wrestler in free agency never regained stamina or healed injuries or morale in 2k22

Jobbers can still win and start rivalries. Unsure on the GM DQ - can't say I recall checking for this. Interference works the same way - regular interference is an attack, GM interference is support (confusing!). Injuries can last a lot longer now. I don't think free agency stars recover stamina with the exception of maybe after a season ends. Not 100% sure.

The stamina issue needs to be fixed There are so few shows between ppv's that you can't get your main wrestlers ready to compete again for 2 to 3 weeks, but it's only a 4 week cycle. In that time, their popularity drops off. Its broken. Not to mention your competitors are putting on speciality matches all month long. Yet you can't put your stars on because their stamina has died after one ppv match.

0:44- See I honestly think that stables/groups should be available right in the draft! I know with how everything else is right now with this mode it could make things more complicated! But a lot of that should be changed also and the rest can easily be fixed or added to!!! Also obviously if player 1 picks 1 wrestler and player 2 picks a group it’s going to be very uneven. So make certain rounds a group pick! So both can pick it in that round but not in others!

One of my few gripes about the balancing of the mode long term. Also not a huge fan of losing all your money you earn every season, so may as well spend it!

This is what they need for it to be perfect. First, everything you said in the video. Next, for all the people (and trust me there’s a lot) that want this and just so there isn’t any complaining, an option to make it so wrestlers don’t have any classes & is based primarily but not entirely on their on tv enemies and allies. So for example, you won’t have to worry about angelo dawkins being a bruiser (i think) and montez ford being a cruiser and then the feedback complaining that they don’t have any chemistry because they don’t pair up. Second, storylines like in SvR 2007. It makes things more interesting. Also, vacating titles for example if you have injured superstars or if you just want to get a title off someone if you have a good rivalry set up for a next 5-10 week feud but could make it even better with a title on the line. Also, imo, the option to choose the winner. You can play it out you can already do it, but just in a way to waste less time. Also again it will help if you just want to take the title off of someone but in a less “cheap” way. This is just a hot take btw, but a custom WWE MyGM Mobile Game. That would be so cool. And instead of the play button, just implicate the new rule I suggested and make it so you choose the winner. This is even that big of a change because it doesn’t really matter but i do recall getting better ratings when in a feud the titles keep changing hands. Also, battle royals including maybe even a survivor series where you can put different mygm stipulations meaning whoever’s brand loses this has to give the other money, a power card, etc. Speaking of those they should also make the power cards less common. It used to mean more when I would get them in 2k22 but now it’s just normal and doesn’t feel as special. Also TRADES. That would be cool. Also, I haven’t looked into this but if this isn’t already in the game then add online. It would be fun. Those are just a few over others that could be added to make the game even more flawless. I think the games in the right direction but should honestly take a 2-4 year break every game so there are actual major changes not just the changes being renewed attire and stages alongside a new menu which is low key what 2k23 feels right now of 2k22.

There are dozens of simple things that need sorting but the absolute main thing that needs fixing, is the complete lack of progression built into the game. There's no incentive to play GM Mode after the first month. Yeah it's fun to do a draft and build towards a PPV but once you've done it, you're basically over the fun part and now you're left with a depleted budget and a depleted roster. Think about it, you start with say 3.5m and a fully fit roster, then the game depletes your budget, stamina and morale with nothing significant to drive you forward. There is no sense of career progression. You can start on Raw, then book WrestleMania, etc. I mean sure, there are different logistics and I do like that but it's not enough.

BTW, I'm not saying that there shouldn't be stamina drain, resource drain, etc. Just that there needs to be a sense of progression. What incentive is there to continue playing after the first PPV? In Football Management games, you might start at a non-league side, then have some success at lower levels before being able to land a top job at a big club, ready to challenge for the champions league, maybe you land an international club then win the world cup. I think GM Mode runs out of incentive in week 5. In Wrestling Manager on the iPhone, you started with crap roster and only 1 title belt and a tiny budget. You had to earn a profit to sign better wrestlers, land local TV deals, national and International TV deals with larger time slots, then PPV deals, etc. You needed to earn cash to buy things like new Championships, cages, cells, etc. If you wanted the top tier wrestlers, they cost you a fortune and when you got them, it felt like you'd earned them. I want to love GM Mode but there's nothing to earn. You are better off on day 1 than you are 6 months in.

You have to win the season in fans, earn season trophies, complete challenges, manage expectations/promises etc - I do think they can improve still but I just don't think the game is over after week 5. If anything, I'd say the first 5 weeks (after the draft) are some of my least favourite! The beauty of gaming and opinions. :)

The thing is having 6 and 8 man matches kinda trumps the whole point of the class system unless you add more classes. Do any of the teams in the game even mesh well in GM mode or is it based on what opponents you give them?

Anyone who is planning to buy this for GM mode, remember this. The actual gameplay plays zero part in your overall show rating. It depends much more on whether you match a giant with cruiserweight or something ridiculous like that. Which means Bret Hart vs Shawn Micheals will not be as good as Rey Mysterio vs Kane! In the universe mode match rating is effected by the quality of the match you're having but not in GM mode where it matters. GM mode is a waste of time if you're wrestling fan.

I spent hours playing the GM mode on the PSP Smackdown v Raw and have been waiting for it to come back. Played the 2K22 one when the game was free on PS Plus. Will probably give 2K23 a miss as only interested in GM mode

It has slight randomness to it. Not every superstar is in the draft, sometimes they appear in the free agent pool, sometimes they don't appear at all. It's a great feature because it makes every season feel different.

2:14- Um, (I shouldn’t have to point this out but if I don’t no one looks at it this way but I’m giving you the benefit of the doubt) maybe it changed after this video!?! But you can definitely have a title match in a triple threat match! I’ve seen it more times than I’d like to admit on that channel I was talking about in earlier videos. Now if you were talking about a double title match, I know that hasn’t been added. And I’m not sure if you can in a fatal 4 way match yet……. I’m only 35-40% certain that I’ve seen that before so I’m not going to say yes or no to that one. If next time I’m watching that playlist on that channel and I see it and remember where this comment is, I will fix it! But besides that there are a lot of things that I feel like should be added, should be taken out or just completely changed in this mode! And all of that is based off of me still not understanding all the extra details!!!

This is my first WWE 2K game and I was so hypped about MyGM (I remember vaguely playing it on smackdown vs raw). It is such a bummer that you can't have triple threat and fatal 4 way games for titles... And worst of all is on PC it randomly crashes and the save file becomes useless. In terms of overall match score out of 100, a specialist-fighter pairing is worth 8.5 points, while a fighter-bruiser pairing is worth 10 points. And just for comparison, a low synergy pairing such as bruiser-bruiser is worth 5 pts. Incidentally, a cruiser-cruiser pairing is worth 7.5 points. Giant-giant is the only pairing that really should be avoided (2.5 points). Combined popularity scores are worth up to 30 pts, which gives you some idea of the relative importance of both categories. If you want to maximize your chance of getting a Classic or Legendary match, then, sure, the best style combos give you an advantage. But you can absolutely put on great matches with two fighters or two bruisers.

Specialists are great tools for any GM. They are particularly good as one half of a tag team, and give very useful booking options when higher synergy rivalries are on cooldown. The style synergy bonus only counts for 12% of the total match score, but people frequently overestimate the importance of style synergy bonuses.

So unrealistic that certain people can't fight each other smh And I also wish ALL players showed up at the start. As a big time fifa player. I can see 2k run the same scandle as fifa. Basically if they gave us everything we want in 2k gm mode us people that only really play that mode possibly wouldn't buy the next game. Fifa is the same the career mode got left behind with the main push being online play WERE YOU CAN SPEND YOUR MONEY! So basically it going to be a slow drip feed in terms of what they will give us each year for my gm sadly. It doesn't make them extra money and they want to add things the next year to make you spend 80 quid again in 12 months, adding the smallest slightest changes that would probly take them an hour of coding to do and a small update....but it won't happen. Really sad as I do love my gm mode its my favourite mode in the wwe games

SvR 2008 is still the best GM mode. If they could just blend the best elements of 08’, the ideas of 23’, and structure/depth/customization of 2K14…. It’d be amazing. I hate how there aren’t trades, Overalls, contracts on Year deals, etc. Would love for longterm/history mechanics to be introduced, and for the superstars Age to matter-that way the upcoming CAWs start to matter more at some point as their Overalls/Skills/Popularity improve. It’s just crazy how older games just had more detail. The redraft after ever season is a bit much UNLESS: Champions are automatically protected unless a mutual trade happens. Then you protect 6 more stars. It makes no sense that I spend a whole season building up Carmelo Hayes, so I saved him and 4 of my champions-but I for some reason couldn’t protect Seth Rollins, my IC Champ? No idea why on the initial draft, stars like Rollins/Reigns/Cody are available and are FAs that are way too expensive to sign at first.
