Dang Lilly you have impressed me more by saying you prepared two months in advanced to walk bare foot. Full dedication that paid off. Good for you. I have a few questions - Now you have experienced N&A would you change you items for survival on future trips out into the wilderness. Do you have a more focus on certain area or items that you want with you. One thing I noticed on survival shows is people making temporary shelters then try to build better shelters later on when they are calorie depleted. Does this experience give you more direction on prioritizing what you do when setting up a camp. Example getting as much wood asap. I noticed your partner was very worn out to get more wood towards the end

A church I used to attend did a 21 day fast. Some of the members had high blood pressure issues. Others had diabetic problems. Some reported that when you fast, it is almost like your body resets itself and some of them where able to go off some of the medications they were previously taking for those issues. Not recommending this without consulting your doctor, but that is what some where able to achieve with the fasting. They also stated you could not just immediately start going back to eating solid food. They started out by sipping small amounts of chicken soup broth and slowly added solid foods back in over a period of days or weeks.

@Winston Smith also, there are a few AMA posts floating around with former contestants acknowledging the more "creative liberty" aspects of the show. I never watched the show, I never could understand why anyone would want to run around naked in the woods or in a desert being cold or hot…It just wasn’t entertainment to me. My biggest complaint is that the people are not really naked, they always have a large bag that conceals their body. The other pet peeve is all the scenes of dangerous animals that are not really there, but just to give the impression that the challenge is more dangerous than it really is.

When people are asking whether it's fake or real they aren't interested in whether or not you receive direction, they are interested in whether or not for example you receive any form of basic sustenance off-camera. I mean, if it's medically necessitated, saline IVs should be standard practice, which would immediately disqualify the challenge for many people as being "real".

There was a "Naked & Afraid" filmed in the Atchafalaya River Basin in South Louisiana, USA. I live 15 minutes from there. My family had a camp there. There's Absolutely NO way in hell I would go nekkid there during the summer for one 24 hour day. You don't have to worry about the alligators, water moccasins, briars, bobcats, black bears, etc eating you alive or killing you from infection because the mosquitos, horse & deer flies, etc. would have sucked all the blood out of you before that 🤨. Lilly, you definitely have my respect. One thing I definitely learned from my experience in life and the USMC infantry is that surviving tough times is more mental than physical.

I became a fan Lilly about a year ago. I spent almost 2 years out in the southern Rocky Mountains from 2000 to 2002 relying on everything I learned growing up and then just figuring things out as I went along. I found a community of people who had moved out here to "prepare" for whatever is coming down the pike. I was kind of at the extreme edge of the community because I wasn't living in a normal home. I was in a tent for a few months, then in a tipi for several more months. I was only about 25 miles away from civilization but I got to where I dreaded going in to town for whatever reason, once a month was too much. You were the 3rd person I found on KZbin who was making "survival/bushcraft" content. Heck I hadn't ever heard of the term Bushcraft until just over a year ago. Watching you and a few others has helped me realize that I actually do know survival, something I always strived for since I was a little kid. Due to health issues I can no longer spend time in the woods like I used to. But through you and the few others I follow, I feel like I'm right back out there living at one with nature like we were intended to. So you keep making content and I'll keep enjoying it and soaking it up.

Wow, you've nailed it for me about so many questions! Most of all, I have been wondering so much about how the contestants and crew interact. I imagine from my couch that the crew has 'it easy' with food, all the water they can drink and even electronics to keep in touch with loved ones and their entertainment at night when it is just your cameras. I wondered how knowing that psychologically impacts the contestants being filmed bc I forget about the crew for the most part during my viewing experience only to think about it much later. I will now share your respect. I remember the snake on day 1 and now your bravery in that moment is even more amazing, knowing you are terrified of them to begin with. Also, I apologize for my earlier post about my fantasy about you and Sam. Of course, we don't get all the info at home. Had no idea that you were each happily bonded to others at all. Again, applause 👏 . Just shows more maturity on your parts for rising to the ultimate challenge of surviving, making relationship building such a valuable tool equal to or better than choice of equipment. Getting naked for camera so that random creeps can watch? No thank you. The survival part, hunting, fishing, building a shelter is ok. But stayng completely naked for the creeps to stare and probably taking photos of you is just disgusting and immoral. Even if one is into it there are consequences. Your parents, relatives, neighbours will also see you. Your children will see you, they will be bullied because of parents actions. Plenty of better ways to make a survival show than being a "free fun" for creeps to stare. Top minimum should be underwear/swimsuilt or those "skirts" they make from vegetation. Or have them wear old warned basic clotes. The format of that N&A show is just disqusting. I've seen some good survival shows that were descent and fun to watch.

There have been times where I think there's been a food reprieve when somebody doesn't have enough body fat, just so they can complete an episode without sending both participants home. (Usually it's a very shoddy or poorly-made looking trap somehow being oddly successful.) Outside of that, they still do their thing while suffering through the bugs and the elements.

Except for that one episode with the girl with the Yoyito the directors literally had to ask if the contestant to catch few one or two fish for the purpose of the episode behind scenes she caught dozens. 😂

Very cool, thank you for this video. I had no idea you were on NaA, I used to watch that show all the time when we had cable.
