Is Need For Speed Unbound WORTH IT in 2024? All my LOVES and HATES!

The competitive scene was the only thing this game had going for it, but after volume 3, when they removed preshifting no one wanted to run records anymore (except competitive drifting)

In my opinion, Unbound's handling is better than Heat. in Heat, it was very difficult to make grip turns and it was also very difficult to control the car when fast, in Unbound, that problem was completely fixed.

while I see your point about the neon colors in Heat I still think Unbound is a massive upgrade on Heat in terms of graphics. It looks amazing especially if you have a strong PC. I also like the split progression, the grind gives people a reason to race in multiplayer, and while I see a lot of people complain about not getting races, I frequently get races with 4-8 people, you just have to change server if people arent accepting invites

performance upgrades obviously do however bumpers or spoilers do not as far as im aware.

bought the game when it was on sale. havent played any nfs game or any racing game since ps2. watched couple vids on unbound last year and it looked like a joke to me with the cartoonish elements. well until i bought it last week, its my 2nd most played on the ps2 already, even my bro, sis and my gf got the game. and were having a lot of fun when playing together. unfortunately the races dont get more than 3-4 ppl most of the time and theres like 2-3 cars which are pay to win but apart from that id say those were pretty well invested 10€ so far

Is online worth grinding nowadays? Like can i jump online and grind with bots or do i need for races ro fill with players?

i personally find heat to be the better game however $12 is a pretty decent price for it.

ugh, i might as well write my own review for unbound at this point. the handling, customization, upgrades, and car list are easily this game's greatest strengths, but if they were even _slightly_ worse, it would likely make it the worst need for speed in the whole franchise. absolutely would not hesitate to say that the rest of this game is anywhere from mediocre to absolutely abhorrent (except for graphics), and because of that i'd genuinely recommend pirating it first to see if you even want to pay for it. definitely agree that unbound is not worth it at full price

Thank you. I love NFS since the underground. I've played most of them, i platinum NFS Heat. Just got a PS5. i was thinking of buying it, so after reading your comment, I don't think so anymore
