NERF ELITE 2.0 IS HERE! But what actually changes when Hasbro completely rebrands their BEST Nerf line for 2020? When it comes to the VOLT SD-1, besides a name change, there's a few things that go into making Elite 2.0 new... but is it actually enough? The entire line so far seems like a mixture of Alpha Strike and Modulus, but the designs are only slightly changed and there isn't a whole lot of new for you to get excited about. There's nothing WRONG with Elite 2.0, but I expect so much more from the Worlds #1 Blaster Brand.

I have a yellow N-Strike Nitefinder with a burnt laser, and a lotta wear, plus a stupid rattling little transparent plastic piece from the laser, which I hate. Amazing build quality despite the fact it fires alone without you pressing the trigger if you punch it a little hard. And it also reaches quite far without an angle comparing to my other nerf blasters despite being an N-Strike. Probably because I live in Brazil, and if it was made here, it's gonna be better than a heck of a load of the current ones, 'cause build quality worsened over the years (and it's really bad compared to something from the USA). Or my darts are too weared down (which they quite are), and all my nerf blasters are weared down shits.

Seeing the Volt in this video . . . learning that it has absolutely no screws in it . . . I hate to say this but it feels like Hasbro is purposely trying shit all over the Community. It'll depend on how easy or difficult it is to open the blaster, but if it's an entire bloody process, or even impossible . . . *That* is the 2.0 part. Blasters that aren't deigned for the community any more. Only designed to protect the product. Hasbro is going to alienate the community further and . . . I hate to say this as well . . . it's their own fault in the first place.

I think the real reason is that Hasbro realised with making Alpha Strike that they could remake the Elite line and make a much higher profit per blaster by omitting screws from the design and manufacturing, and still sell them at a similar price.

It's not that they don't want us to mod, it's a financial decision. No screws makes assembly on the production line faster which means their factories can crank these out faster, benefits only their bottom line.

That would make it more like X-Com, where, more often than not, your soldiers will miss even with a NINETY FIVE PERCENT CHANCE TO HIT. Even at N-Strike engagement ranges my elites try their best to avoid the target. Granted, apparently the "elite 1.X" darts (even across lines) had inconsistent compression holes in the head, which makes some elites inherently more accurate than others. But if you've been collecting elites since the launch of the Elite 1.0 line, good luck finding all of the 'smaller hole elites' in your collection

I personally believe the Elite 2.0 means “double” the crappy “elite darts”. I like the old design better because the extra dart storage is up front and easy to get to for faster reload, just my personal opinion, keep up the great work!

I recently modified my Firestrike. I took out the air restrictor and painted it Red white and Blue for the Fourth of July. Now shoots much better and only took about 15 minutes to take apart, mod, and put back together.

With all the problems with ultra is at the end of the day it’s unique but elite 2.0 just feels like it’s catch up for new nerf fans not old school ones who bought them wow over 10 years ago like in my case I bought and modded a gen one firestrike it hits fine and unfortunately it’s strews are rusted shut but hey it’s a serviceable and a great conversation starter and even after all that I still won’t recommend a elite 2.0 I’ll just tell new fans and modders to get 1.0 elites like the firestrike and look up some gides to build a mod from scratch before giving the 2.0 a chance anyway yeah distroy it or wait for someone to do a mod Gide and see if there’s any chance in a performance increase at all.

I think the "elite 2.0" part is like just to signify that they're revising past elite blasters (sort of like the disruptor was to the strongarm), or it's the "new wave" of elite blasters (fresh aesthetics etc.). probably not worth losing sleep over I guess.

The switch for the light being a slider is sad but I like that you don't have to hold it down like the fire strike. Another nice advantage is the new location of the batteries. You could potentially 3-d print a new door and get a much stronger light and more batteries in there. I'd also be curious if the no-screws design can take a .... Spring upgrade. It could make modding even better if it could or (more likely) worse. Please figure it out for us!

After shooting with it the past couple days. I'd note you ironically don't need a screwdriver to open the battery compartment door. It doesn't have a screw and in this one instance that's a good thing and well designed. A philips head screwdriver or a pen work to press a tab down. You have to press it pretty far. The door can be slid back in place without locking it so that's pretty solid since I was using one AAA from a flashlight until I get two fresh batteries. When the room is completely dark the center dot is a nice size and has a large halo around it which looks cool. The 'dot' is off center within the halo. However in light or dark situations the blaster is more accurate than I would have thought. Not dead nuts on but very close to the light beam dot from 5-15ft away. AccuStrike and evenZombieStrike darts are more accurate because they're stiffer and maintain stiffness compared to Elites which well they're Elite's lol The prime is pretty solid. The spring is loud but not too loud. I dry fired 7 out of the case of 8 they had. I chose the second to quietest. Why? A higher pitched reveerb annoys me. I had that happen with a second Zombie Quadrot I was able to exchange fwiw I wish the 2 extra dart storage was in front instead of like the small Dart Tag guns in the butt of the grip. The darts have to be forced a bit so they don't fall out but I'm not sure that pressure fit is good for them(?) I'm getting used to the color. So far it's one of my favorite blasters for what it is. This hopefully is one I don't have to open up anyhow. All that explanation so I don't have to do a video lol The obligatory NERF vid for my channel will be the Rival First Order Stormtrooper blaster. More of a demo than a review.

There's something silly fun about 'Elite' darts flying all over the place especially from a fully auto RapidStrike lol The waffle heads are almost boring in that regard lol I still should have picked up a 100ct for $10. I like the Nerf Accustrike orange though even thought they cost more. The green Zombie strike darts seem to be more accurate than elite blue (or whatever color the foam is now). Like it's tougher foam so it doesn't lose its shape like the blue Elites imho. I like your new range & hits overlay indicators!

@@WalcomS7 I think it is. It's essential info. Coop772 does a good job at producing but I think only need one of him lol and he repeats himself but very good indoor shooting tests. American Foam, Naptown Nerf, Wazzup1207 and Randomshadow09 channels also do good simple shooting tests outdoors imho I've only shot target practice with makeshift targets indoors. Probably never any NERF wars.

I like elite darts only because they work smoothly with almost every blaster but I hate how they are so expensive and how they are inaccurate but to get elite darts I just buy alpha strike blasters or elite 2.0 blasters and I also picked up an aeon pro for SIXTEEN DOLLARS and it is AWESOME

Heres my theory for the elite dart designs, some how. The hole on the side of the tip of the dart will determine the direction of the dart. Even iv every dart has the hole straight up its gonna have some spread. But it's only slightly better than groupings normally. But, the hole allows the tip to compress, so that way it dies not hurt anything it hits, there for bouncing off the target less. Apparently if you fill the hollow tip with something to make it full, it will be more accurate

I own 2 firestrikes that are Orange and they are AMAZING but a 2.0 version seems unnecessary because it is the exactly the same but shiny blue and Orange and !maybe better internals but that's very unlikely so the 2.0 line has some amazing blasters but like 2 out of like 5 blasters in the 2.0 line are good but I think the 2.0 line is a minorly upgraded line of already excellent blasters but some in the 2.0 line are good

Modders aren't their main source, if anything, you're making it harder for new people to join, you make it sound like you HAVE to mod your blaster to get any enjoyment out of it. Deal with what you have and you'll enjoy the blaster more
