Thank you for your review. I ordered this product prior to watching your review. As it turned out I’m very happy I did. To be honest I couldn’t be happier. You should note that I used much less product than you did. But even before buffing with a clean cloth I could feel a huge change as the cloth simply felt slippery over the paintI. I used a clean white cotton tee shirt as I didn’t have any micro soft cloths at the time. So far it seems to be everything advertised, and definitely everything I had hoped for. I will do a follow up to these comments in several months but so far, I couldn’t be more pleased.

First off, you’re not getting the hood clean with that kind of soap. A residue will be left behind. That residue will prevent any of those products from bonding to the surface. Also, from experience, Nexgen works much better if it has time to cure. I was skeptical at first, but for what it is, it’s still better than a lot of the others. Thanks for making the video!

You're not being fair to these products. You wouldn't paint your house and then hose down wet paint. These products have to cure for at least 24 hours before you test them, otherwise there is no way to compare them. Also, if the product says to re-apply, then you have to do that prior to testing to get the results that the product claims. I do use the TW Ceramic Wax and just applied it to a client's car for $45. I finish with a buffer which makes it very reflective. It works pretty good, but again, it has to cure and a 2nd coat is suggested next day. Nice video and great effort (I subscribed). I had a VW once and had nothing but problems with it. I hope yours is running good.

You were beading pretty well when you rolled into the garage, so one wash with RainX isn't going to remove whatever you already had on. I have to agree with the others who said you need to do an IPA wipe down or two to remove what the RainX and anthing else that's already on there left behind. Even the tape wasn't sticking very well, so there was cleary already something there.

I always wash my cars with regular dish detergent before clay barring it. The dish detergent actually removes old wax applications allowing the clay bar to cut straight to the clear coat and pull and trapped debris out. Then after clay barring, I’ll wash with car wash soap, dry, then wax. This process has never failed me.

Well I have used Nexgen for years, but one thing I do after I get a good coat on the vehicle, I give it a good 24 hours cure time before I get it wet. Then I apply another coat, using the same method. Now, I can't say it lasts 2 years. But I can say I got a good year out of it. I have had the same car for 5 years now, and the paint looks showroom new. If you really want to get a good seal, you should clay the surface to you get better contact and adhesion and a slicker feel to the paint. But that's just my opinion.

Does that Rainex car wash leave a water repelling residue on the paint? Knowing Rainex products, they all leave something behind. If not removed by at least an IPA wipe down, that could be interfering with the results of both products.

Hey Matt thanks for your review of our product, and comparison test. A couple things we would like to clarify: 1. We do not claim our Ceramic Spray to be a replacement for a professionally installed ceramic coating. Those types of coatings can cost as much as $3k per install, are often applied using UV lighting to harden the surface, and are meant to last for several years. Nexgen Ceramic Spray is a do-it-yourself product that is stronger and longer lasting than other comparable products on the market, but will not last as long as a professional UV Ceramic Coating application. 2. A little really does go along way when it comes to our Ceramic Spray. Because of the SiO2 content by volume, you actually need only 3-4 sprays per body panel to get the same (or better) effects you would get from a competing product. On a cost-per-application basis, it's actually a much better value than what you get with the other guys. 3. We would love to see you compare Nexgen against Turtle Wax! We've done this test several times inside the nexgen warehouse and we think you'll be impressed 😉 Thanks again for purchasing and for putting together this video!
@Matt_Pie3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the reply, you are correct that the advertisement you displayed never claims to be a full replacement for a ceramic coating, most people wouldn’t use a ceramic spray for that use case anyways. I would love to do another comparison video with the turtle wax

NexGen I'd love to do the comparison video but unfortunately your shipping process is not the best. So far it has took 2 days to get from St. Louis to Chicago then the package stopped moving. Today is April 2nd and the package has been sitting 3 towns over since March 30th. Later today I pick up my new vehicle and won't be able to use the NexGex for which is the only reason I even bought.

NEXGEN is a "RIP OFF" after doing a COMPHRENSIVE TESTING ( PROFESSIONALLY ) it breaks down after 6 to 8 weeks! The Nexgen is for a STORED VEHICLE ( NOT ) a every day driver! For a person whom lives at the local car wash or just loves constantly detailing their car, If that's your thing it's okay if that's your gig! The claim is for sales to those specific individuals "NOT" a custom detailer! If this upsets you then so be it but it is NOT all it's made out to be! Opinions are like assholes but if you detailed the amount of vehicles I've done then you'd know my opinion is 100% LEGITIMENT! As a consumer & professional I'd say SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!

that nexgen stuff is crap. doesn't last. there are some 8 dollar ceramic spray detailers that sheet and bead better and last longer and give more shine for a fraction of the price. look elsewhere for protection turtle wax n meguires are far superior.. trust those that have been doing this for decades over gimmicky flashy label products that cost a fortune. ask the pros. no pro will suggest nexgen garbage. I use Griots garage 3 in 1 ceramic wax or yes tw ceramic spray coating its amazing. is durable, beads well and adds shine. it's 20$ for a like 24 oz. apply to clean dry surface then I use one spray per panel as a drying aide every wash to boost gloss and top off protection. I am an auto detailer in s Florida and have used everything. for the price is the best. if you want better protection and gloss get a true ceramic coating from a reputable mfg. in lite verizon which is easy to apply and costs around 60$ apply to a polished vehicles in shade or garage and your set for a year with monthly washes done.
