No such thing as a water proof phone sadly, only water resistant. At the repair shop I work out I get all kinds of new phones that are "waterproof" the customer states that have all kinds of water damage. Anywhere from a few seconds in a wet pocket to a dive in the pool or toilet. iPhone 12, 13, (14 and 14 plus's especially because the back glass is removable.) Samsung's seem a bit better but pretty much as soon as the phone starts aging the gaskets dry up and it does not keep its rating, most common is the Samsung S21 ultra and s22 ultra since they are starting to age. Also the Samsung A series has very few gaskets and seals and are the most prone to liquid damage. The point of the story is never rely on a phones water resistance, treat it like it has none, and if you want to use it with water, buy a gopro or a case. Good video.
