Last weeks auctions were full of Range Rovers selling for below bottom-book prices. If you think we are at the bottoming-out stage I would think again. These cars have become a pariah and if you are thinking of buying to keep it for years then I would say wait another month and bag a bargain. If you are trying to sell one, good luck!
@davedavies-it5wdАй бұрын
The 4.4 SDV8 is better then the 3.0 SDV6 as the internals are stronger. The 3.0 has crankshaft issues which causes the engine to seize. The 4.4V8 has better realibilty but if you want even better then these 2 go for the D300 or D350 engines. Whilst the Vogue entry level model may be good to buy, when it comes to selling it, you will find it harder as the autobiography is always more appealing to buyers. If your buying an entry level vogue best to just keep it and run it to the ground.

Any advice on negotiating a PCP purchase at end of contract, my 2020 Westminster will be around £8-10k negative, I’d like to buy it at that point, should I just offer the lender CAP clean or will they just reject anything below balloon amount?
@BuySellCarsTVАй бұрын
@@markkingproperties2237 It depends on the lender, some retail stock, some may just put it straight into auction, and if the CAP is massively below the agreed balloon, then they may be inclined to negotiate a deal otherwise they will lose at auction.
@mikeolly67Ай бұрын
If you really want to buy it, my suggestion would be to ask the driver who picks it up, which auction he is talking it to. If it’s Bca , find a trader who has an account to buy it back for you plus a fee for his trouble, I can guarantee that will be far cheaper than trying to buy it off the lease company.

Thank you for the great video. If you don't mind, I have a few questions. I am a member of BCA, but I've only been able to buy and sell three cars so far. I find the prices quite high. I've noticed that some of the cars we follow from certain brands and models are sometimes relisted after being sold. Does BCA auto-bid and raise the prices? It seems that sometimes the auction ends with BCA keeping the car, possibly by fake bidding. My second question is, are there any specific days or time slots when prices tend to be more favorable? I've seen some big companies selling cars, or sometimes it's UKCGR. Could you make a video explaining these other sales methods and how we can follow them better? Thank you very much.
@bornpompey2Ай бұрын
100%, they will claim they dont as its highly illegal but my Range rover went through 3 times, each time there was one more bid than I was prepared to pay, on the 4th time i bid lower and won it, 2 k less than my last bid, there is only so long BCA can store cars then they run out of price, best time to buy is end of the month as they becoem over loaded historically 🙂
@MaxMax-th7uzАй бұрын
Prices are just stupid at auction after you add fees … Bca bids the cars up to reserve , be strict with your bidding .. You can find better cars privately privately just have to be motivated!
@MaxMax-th7uzАй бұрын
07:01 .. wow £18000 lose in 12 months ouch , the dealer is taking £12k hit on in that car
@MaxMax-th7uzАй бұрын
@@bornpompey2 the auctions don’t care about the value of a car ! If the vendor wants x amount , then auctions will try and get that price ! Auctions have no interest in pricing cars to sell really , they have to number 1 look after the vendor , after a few weeks of trying they go back to vendor and tell them the reserve has to be reduced ! Lots of strong buyers out there willing to pay more than cap / trader price etc . Small autos will make 30% more than an autotrader valuation for example !

Thanks for the video. In addition to covid and parts shortage crises as well as higher insurance, the introduction of current models for both RR (vogue) & RRS in 2022/23 has also contributed to the lower NBV on L494 and L460 models. The massive price correction on all/most cars took place in Q4 2023. Owners, sellers, lease companies etc had their fingers burnt at the time.
