I watched this 1 2x. This episode helped me as I had a market analysis done on my home and it was compared to new builds which were at a significantly lower cost. Now I understand why. I have the upgrades done over the years and the new builds are trying to get off the books and still have the builder grade carpet, floors, and countertops, etc. I don't like when realtors do market analysis without even seeing my home. BS!😮

I agree with Tricia. We bought a spec home in OTOW 2 years ago and love it. It was so nice to move right in, and not have to decide on all of the finishes. That would have been difficult for us. The designers did a fabulous job on our home.

I’m looking to buy in FL. I’m a cash buyer but it is so much cheaper to rent right now it’s crazy. If you factor in taxes and insurance it’s 30-50% cheaper and that doesn’t include maintenance. Builders in the Sarasota area are still ridiculous on pricing. It will correct.

No offense, but from a Realtor’s perspective, there is never a bad time to buy. When has a Realtor ever said “don’t buy now.” That said, retirees are special buyers. Every year is precious. We need to live our best life now. Waiting for the FL market to turn may take many precious years….

I have read some less than flattering comments about some home recently built in Del Webb Stone Creek and OTOTW, and wondering if these complaints are due to houses being build "maybe too quickly" to meet a year end deadline, and they end up with too many "customer concerns" when they do their inspection. Have you run across a recent run of dissatisfied home owners who are buying new in the past 6 months to a year ? Not looking to name names, but it is concerning to someone that might be considering these locations in 2024. If a customer hires their own inspector, what recourse do they have when they find issues ? vs just moving in and then finding the issues after the deal is closed. Thanks for sharing your videos. We will keep dreaming of some day finding our way down south.

The new builds in The Villages had the quality of a fifth wheel travel trailer…even had the smell of one. It was very disappointing. We would rather buy an older house and remodel only if needed. We were looking for a second.
