@silverwatchdog2 жыл бұрын
I just switched for the simple reason that chrome sucks with 4k video playback. It's a stuttery mess, especially if it's 60fps and HDR. Edge doesn't have this problem, and it's the only other browser that supports HDR playback. This is for my LG C1, which I use as a monitor, so I obviously wanted to get the best of it. Edge also just feels smoother on a 120hz screen than chrome for some reason. I don't really care about if it uses less or more ram because I have 32GB (Both use 1-1,5GB, but it's mainly from all the extensions I have and not the browser), but these 2 reasons are enough for me to switch. Just imported my chrome settings and extensions, and I was done. I also got rid of chrome on my iPhone and moved to safari for practically the same reasons. It was smoother on my 120hz iPhone, and it was the only browser that supported extensions on ios, and it had something similar to immersive reader, which chrome doesn't have at all. Chrome just feels like it lacks many features nowadays and has become what internet explorer was near its end. It seems native browsers are the best when it comes to performance. I don't use chrome for anything anymore, but I definitely won't switch to Bing!

Very informative, I learned about a number of features that were completely new to me. I've been using Edge now for about five months, and I'm happy with it.
