I have the exact same setup myself and I'm still happy with its performance although I don't play many graphically intensive games. I am surprised about how well it performs for an old and currently very cheap card. Thank you for the video.

Another very enjoyable video, thanks. Really glad you have started to put in the lower res results as well. I find the difference in fps between 1080 and 720 can be absolutely huge when using older hardware. Keep them coming!

I'm proud to say I owned this card for almost 3 years. It was great for the time I used it. I'm just happy it's still getting use. I gave it to my friend and he is still using it for lighter titles. It will easily get 6 years of use out of it.

Just switched to a 1060 GTX 6 GB from this 650 Ti Boost and really, so far it's not as huge of a jump as you would think. The 650 Ti Boost is still a very capable card. Definitely still usable for gaming with modern titles if you're willing to cut back on the most expensive options in your graphics settings.

i am really curious how a 260x performs in recent games. This card was amd's "750ti" only a bit more cheap and a bit less powerful.

I've got an R7 260x, all i can tell you is that it still provides good graphical quality and frame rates at 1080p.

darkroronoa 260x and 360 both beat 750ti by a mile.

The 260X was actually competing with the 750 non-ti version, the R7 265 was the competition for the 750 TI. The R7 265 was essentially an overclocked HD 7850, and later on went on to become the R7 370 when overclocked some more, it was a pretty powerful card that still holds up today(as does the 750 TI), and for the most part it was able to beat most variants of the 750 TI.... the EVGA FTW edition would beat it on occasion, but the wider 256 bit memory bus on the 265 was definitely an advantage, and it showed in many games. λ3..... My friend, you're horribly mistaken.... niether the 260X nor the 360 were any match at all for the 750 TI, even a stock reference clocked 750 TI would mop the floor with either of those.

Killex Gaming I have an EVGA FTW 750 TI, it's a huge beast of a card that was probably a bit overpriced at the time for a 750 TI. A couple months ago I upgraded to an RX 480, both great cards, but unfortunately now my 750 TI has no home... I might end up putting it into my Ebay parts gaming rig with a Core 2 Quad Q8300, and 8GB RAM, but then my HD 7770 is going to be displaced and homeless :(

Can you make it so that the gameplay footage at the start of the video be an actual game footage from the featured hardware? For example: your HD5450 videos showed a high preset WD2 yet later in the video proved that it can barely run on lowest preset. On the other hand, you did it right with your A4 3300 video where it's showing GTA Vice City. Thanks :D

I owned this exact EVGA card up till May of last year when I replaced it with an Sapphire R9 380 Nitro. I loved my 650ti Boost and was sad to trade up but I was able to sell it for $50. If you ever can get one used for a cheap gaming rig, to play e-sports games, I would recommend it.

Great video! However one of my friends had the GTX 650 and he had trouble running Assassin's Creed Unity and a few newer titles. However, that could be the difference between the 650 and 650Ti. Also his GPU was not overclocked. Ah well. Interesting to see how well old cards still preform and just goes to show that with the right shopping around and budget you can get a really good gaming PC..

I have the 1GB variant of this card, and still use it to this day with an i5 4690k. I get 70 - 90 frames in GTA:V on normal/high settings at 1600 x 900 resolution.

I remember wanting that evga 650ti boost card just because of looks. I wish that same cooler would be revamped by evga even if just on the mid tier gpu's in the future (though it should have improved thermal capability and of course a smexy backplate)

i have 2 of these old beasts in my machine with an i7 975, they're equal card for card fps wise with the GTX 570 but 50W less power draw. can still max the serious SAM 2017 beta and Wolfenstein new order no probs! great gpu

I have this video card. It runs well enough for most games. It did not really like running H1Z1 or PUBG but it did run them with settings tweeked right. It played BF3 just fine, It plays OverWatch without a problem! It played ALL the Bioshock games at over 60fps in 1080p It ran Dirty Rally great at over 60fps. Hell it even plays R6 Siege at over 60fps with the settings just right and still looks good. I'm even playing ME-A and it runs well. But it does seem to run hot, mine sits at about 80c on full load while gaming, but it doesn't seem to mind honestly. I have no problem with the GPU but I would love to upgrade to something newer with 4gig Vram as the 2gig IS holding me back.

I still have a GTX 650 TI Boost 2GB card i bought new from Novatech for 100 quid in 2013. Still works and still plays games pretty well- it is a cut down GTX 660 so was an absolute bargain at the time.

I'm currently using a GTX 650Ti 1gb, Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition alongside 8GB RAM. Getting 60FPS on Battlefield 4 on Medium. CSGO - 70 H1Z1 - 47-60ish Black Ops 2 - 100 Hope this helps in comparison to the Boost version.

I still use a 650Ti 1GB and still can't really complain about it. Except for a few games that can't deal with the 1GB VRAM it still performs pretty good. Even 3d gaming at 720p is working fine on many titles.. Sure, 30-40 FPS per eye isn't the best possible situation, but I can't believe how well the 650Ti can still keep up. I do regret buying it just before the boost versions came out though, as the 2GB VRAM would have helped a lot with some modern games.
