Is the reason NXT showing signs of success because of the involvement of TNA? Stars like Joe Hendry, Frankie Kazarian & Jordynne Grace have provided a spark to the product. Why can't NXT grow stars either?

The problem for TNA is a lot of people don't have access to AxsTV and that's a hard barrier that WWE can't help them with.

I think TNA gets a bump in social media value. But, I don't see a lot of the WWE universe signing up for subscriptions to TNA streaming. The strategy aligns with their plan to rebuild with the TNA moniker. But it's a risky one with the WWE partnership. It seems like TNA is ripe for the picking and poaching after this wraps up. I hope they have more stars to build without taking steps back.

I mean I feel people forget sometimes it depends on the type of funny you are. The original Miz Character Was Funny and he's been taken seriously. Hell Drew McIntyre has been funny in promos for a while now and they still are very serious. Even Orange Cassidy whose ridiculous character was taken seriously enough to main event against Jon Moxley on PPV Sometime last year. Joe Reads to me as just serious enough of an in-ring performer that it's not a guarantee they will be comedy. Also, fandango wasn't just failed because he couldn't get over it's that WWE let it be a fad because from stories I heard Vince just didn't think the character had legs as a babyface. If they had made Fandango like US champion around that time or tag champ they could've kept the momentum going probably. It's the same story as Matt Cardona of the character rather than embracing momentum, They would actively try to Curb it. That was a big thing that happened in the early to mid-2010s from my memory.

Joe definitely has a better chance than they did when you consider the timing.

@@TheWrestlingMattShow Yea Triple H and Shawn Being in Charge greatly help his chances of being taken seriously or given momentum.

I think like any inter-company crossover it brings a spike to both parties it’s up to those parties individually to retain that interest, like in comics if the books good, and both characters have tractable stories new eyes can get wrapped up in you’ll see those eyes coming back and looking into it more if the books good but the characters one or both don’t cut mustard then the spike will be a one time Gimmick Draw that you might think back on but just that.

If the relationship is solid and the response is as grand i hope they do cross overs more, I’d like to see SummerSlam become the Warp Tour of wrestling, maybe even try multiple rings, so they can prep cages and the like while other matches are going on to fit more on the card, but give a stage to showcase wrestling on all levels, American professional, Indies, Lucha, Japan, European, whatever. As well as give some legends and indie darlings global stars a stage to play together with the WWE locker rooms for a night or two.

Don’t think there’s enough people in TNA that carry significant weight in terms of interest to have a real crossover angle

TNA's Slow and Steady Strategy post-COVID is working as they are getting into bigger venues (with plans to return to live TV in 2025). Tony Khan continues to rent out large venues for TV Tapings but can't fill them; that plus an over-bloated roster it's no wonder AEW can't turn a profit (PPV Venue sellouts aren't going to make up for overspending)

Just gonna disregard AEW being on TNT/TBS vs a network that many people don’t get? Come on.

@@TheWrestlingMattShow Of course not; I wish TNA was on better channels too. They've spent years earning redemption and respect from the fans after past management ruined the momentum of the company but even still many wrestling reviewers still won't give TNA a fair chance after years of nonstop endless praise and free advertising of AEW (it used to be you weren't even allowed to criticize AEW or TK without fan backlash and cyber-bullying), not to mention many of them seem to only want TNA to thrive and improve just so they can be pilfered for all it's good stuff for AEW/WWE leaving TNA with nothing. I'm glad you're giving TNA some good PR and Fair Criticisms. Still, even with TNT/TBS (Pending with WB Talks) connections AEW reportedly lost $32 Million last year due to overpaying an over-surplused roster (a good chunk barely used/wouldn't be surprised if most are just there to take advantage of TK's over-generosity) and being unable to break even in ticket sales of TV Tapings (even though PPVs sell out). At some point TK is going to need other investors or his Father to completely take over finances or else AEW risks taking losses that result in WCW all over again. (Remember, the Father never wanted to invest in Wrestling in the first place).

in my opinion joe hendry is lack of booking . he just used as SURPRISE GUEST but if they keep doing it without any story and other interesting plan for him... soon he will be OVERRATED by just spamming his ENTRANCE everytime he enter anyshow

The WWE partnership with TNA is better than the AEW partnership because the AEW partnership being a "invasion angle" by Tony Khan!

Well you don't really hear a lot of WWE fans talking about TNA all the time and would rather sign up with WWE because I can provide their fans of the things that TNA can't provide them with and Jordan Grace have a note hell of a lot of her when's the last time she's been on WWE and so once off deal weather for contract is up in January or whenever then I can guarantee you Triple H will be on that immediately that's why I didn't see the results will speak for itself but they will use social media to hype this up snow doubt in my mind

TNA should go back to bigger venues. The small ones work, but with their resurgence, it makes sense for them to get themselves into a bigger venue.

I don't think at this point it's worth the financial investment. They are not a full touring brand. They are a television product. Filiming in small venues keeps the buildings full and louder than it would be in a half empty arena.

I've been a wrestling fan for about 20 years and I've never been a TNA fan. Just knowing that the WWE is the top company makes me want to watch what's going on there instead. I didn't even watch when some of my favorite wrestlers like Kurt Angle and Jeff Hardy went there. I'm sure viewership for TNA will always be about the same. I checked out TNA the other day just to see Joe Henry wrestle and to hear his promos/wrestling skills. I wasn't really interested in the ongoing story lines though. But that's just me.
