Yes. He is surrounded by great running backs receivers tight ends. Has one of the best defenses in the country. He needs to not turn it over.

If the ultimate football cliché is true about the game being won or lost in the trenches, then you have to evaluate a coach on his players performance at least primarily on the LOS. This has been the problem with Day's teams since he arrived, especially in over-emphasizing zone blocking schemes that our guys just can't execute consistently and where bad habits formed in zone blocking bleed over to non-zone plays.

As I’ve said for awhile now. Howard plays like a 3 star recruit who’s in his fifth year of college football on one of the most talented teams of recent memory. Really like him as a person but he’s purely average as a QB.

The question is not is Will Howard good enough to beat Tennessee. The question is are the coaches capable of developing an intelligent offensive game plan and not be total BUFFOONS as they absolutely were in the Michigan game. Chip Kelly as a buddy of Ryan Day was a questionable hire. Think of what happened when Urban Meyer hired his friends to coach the wide receivers and the linebackers. That was a total disaster.

Will Howard is Mr. MaGoo under pressure. He can't see down the field or make precise throws when needed. He panics & runs out of the pocket too late. A bad combination with a wounded O line

Will Howard is not good enough at processing information or has good enough arm talent to overcome the deficiencies on the offensive line to effectively run the ball. So in short, unless Tennessee decides to give the game away, OSU isn’t gonna win the individual battles needed to beat Tennessee.

Agreed... they have a better DL and rotate it. They can get pressure on Howard and if they start generating sacks, by the 4th the buckeyes defense tires out. They force him to win the game Tennessee easily wins

The OSU coaches need to roll Will Howard out of the pocket more and give him the option to throw downfield or take off running if that is the best option. Think Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills when he kills a defense with his running ability in critical situations.

Pkayers take the personality of the head coach mostly and then that trickels down to the to the position coaches then to the players. Until Day relaxes and doesn't get tight nothing is gonna change. Hes in his iwn head and sabotaging himself. Maybe Day should go in the box and bring chip on the field because this isnt working as is. No efficient. Pkay calling is still sub par. There arent any visible players that stand out as DOGS and leaders on the Field. No one is holding each other accountable

Will Howard basically threw a pick 6 in the Michigan & Penn Sate game and cost OSU a game winning fieldgoal vs.Oregon. Will Howard is not a good quaterback under pressure. Expect another loss to either Tenn or Oregon. Will Howard is a bust and Ryan Day and Chip Kelly backed the wrong horse. Don't expect anyone to lose their jobs over it or anything because muh principles.

We overrated this roster. Caleb Downs and JJ Smith are the only 1st Round guys on this team. Will Howard is a boarder line undraftable QB. He is an overrated athlete and has a noodle for a throwing arm who is very mistake prone.

Michigan game told us that but no one listens. Day and AD Ross think the rivalry isn't as important anymore. In my opinion, losing to a physical team like Michigan doesn't bode well against a better version of them. Don't know why fans can't see this.
