Just got the rog 27 inch oled and the cleartype settings completely fixed this issue for me. Turn off cleartype then go through the prompts and it fixes it up perfectly

I have a Corsair Xeneon, it’s an amazing display on paper, the colors are all great and it’s design is really nice, but the fringing on the text when trying to do anything productive is really frustrating and i want to return it anytime i open my browser. in MOST games it’s not an issue, but in some i can even see the discolored outlines on objects and npcs. it also flickers worse than ANY monitor i have ever used, once you’re in a dark area or you use dark mode on your browsers the corners of the screen will flicker extremely noticeably. because i use my pc for school and other things it’s really looking like it might be better if i return it and stick to the classic ips.

Yeah, it's an issue with WOLEDs. That's why I use a fast paced IPS

I really couldn’t care about a tiny hue outline on text, it’s noticeable but doesn’t bother me at all, LG’s new 27’ OLED is the best monitor for gaming currently available by a long shot.

for me the quality of the text is very important, I threw away an Aorus fi27q-x because of the BRG and this Asus Oled is even worse, but it has spectacular colors so I got a dell 4k 27 inch for everything else, so yes if you try it you can't live without it

My phone has an oled screen, and I have not had any issues with text for a year. It's a Sony Xperia 1 III. Brightness is a pain though.

RGB isn't reverted on OLED phone screens. The problem doesn't exist for mobile, it's related to TVs and Monitors.

Nope, won't change the subpixles lol. HDR - only ON in games that support it.

OLED is crt. 0.1ms refresh, pure black, no scan lines though. Burn in isn't a thing anymore. 2017 B7A and zero burn in. Game on it 1-5 hours a day depending on work.

Text fringing is a very very very nitpicky isue on these monitors but the VRR issue is the a more valid concern.

I'd not say it's nitpicking when it actually threw me and has thrown many off the monitor, especially if you're not solely using it for gaming!
