This is my favorite Seamaster . It’s nicer and more elegent than the 2018 Version
@jball19754 жыл бұрын
Current owner here. I changed the clasp to the adjustable one. It is now my daily beater and most comfortable watch worn on a bracelet. I also own a no date sub with a glide clasp and feel the Seamaster is leaps and bounds way more comfortable. I also think the new clasp is a better design than the glidelock since I can quickly and easily adjust the sizing without removing the watch. When I bought this watch it quickly became my favorite.

I had this watch for a three years. Love it. I can wear it with any attire with no issues. The dial changes its color with different lighting and the bracelet is very comfortable. Good review.

I have this watch more than 2+ years now. I like the heft of it on the wrist. The blue flat dial is simple but beautiful, it's not that busy, & sometime turns black at certain angles .

Just picked up the new white dial/black bezel version at a great price from my AD. Love it so far! The blue is classic, but I couldn't say no to the white dial.

Good review but I disagree vehemently about the bracelet - I am a proud and enthusiastic owner of this exact reference. I get a perfect fit with the half links and find it to be the most comfortable I have ever worn. I would never see myself wearing the watch with another sort of strap...In my experience, the watch head and bracelet are perfectly matched in style and balanced in weight.
@whereRbearsTeeth4 жыл бұрын
Christopher Gustafson, I would have to agree. I find this piece to be perfectly balanced on the wrist. I also have a ceramic sub and I find that it is a little top heavy and less comfortable on the wrist than this seamaster.
@c.vachereau3854 жыл бұрын
Agree with all comments here for the most part. While Seamaster Omega bracelet here might be period correct, it is dated for modern dive watch aficionados. It is by no means timeless, so I don’t blame him for looking at options. That being said, I don’t think the strap chosen looks any better. Personally, I’d look at a color matching durable blue or colored rubber strap.

I have this 41mm SMPc in the black version with the wooden box from 2019. It's the highest and in my opinion the most durable evolution of the old style SMP 300m. The original bracelet is perfectly constructed in this whole setup and the ceramic bezel is shiny as the dial. I updated the clasp to the micro adjustment version for about 100 bugs. Now it's a modern and also timeless classic Swiss luxury watch which will last a life long. It's a sporty tool watch and also fits to every kind of dressy outfits like business suits. Got the wave dial one.... and I love it. The new one does have the micro adjustment and the dive extension. I do prefer the wave dial to the flat dial, I prefer the depth that is offers, and when you look super close at it the precision of the ceramic dial is amazing!

I've only briefly handled this watch and was always under the impression that the bracelet on this model was very similar to the 2531-generation bracelet. I love how the 2531-generation feels on-wrist. I've got a milanese for mine too but which is good from time to time, but it's just not the same as the original.

I actually own the same refference. It's been a bit over a year, and I am loving it. Strange enough, even though I have a smaller wrist, I found the bracellet comfortable and, obviously, thrillingly beautifull. I did try putting it on rubber, but it just doesn't work for me.

I have the black one, a 2016, model with wooden box and I love the bracelet. Small wrists as well 18cm . My only gripe with the bracelet is the clasp itself witch is a scratch magnet, due to the fine brushed finish.

Hey man! Great review!! I’ve got the black reference and I love it to bits! Have you figured out a way to keep the smudges away? I think it’s a property of the anti reflective coating. It just gets smudged so easily against cloth or oils or the air itself!!!
@chateaubullion25604 жыл бұрын
I've had the blue wave dial for over 20 years and it still looks great. I've added half a link to the bracelet to fit me perfectly so it's not an issue. Perhaps my Omega Speedy bracelet is slightly more comfortable than the SMP 300 but like I said it's not an issue.

I've had the black version for almost two years now. I bought mine used and sourced the speedy style bracelet, which is far better for my wrist. I also wear it on an Everest rubber made for a ceramic sub. I like the watch a lot, but it does seem almost too nice sometimes. The ceramic is a little blingy for a true tool watch, but it isn't a dressy watch either. It works well for my lifestyle most of the time, but I often wonder if I'll sell it off for something else.

I have the black dial and I think it’s a fantastic watch. The black is a little bit more dressy than the blue and I think it’s very versatile. This could be an only watch easily. I honestly prefer this to the black bays or the subs in terms of design. I don’t love the skeleton hands and I wish that the clasp had micro adjustments but I think that’s it. Awesome watch.

I had a 2002 36mm Blue wave version - which I recently sold as felt was a little small, even on my 6 1/4 wrist - great watch through, beat the hell out of it and got more than my money back on in when recently sold. Tried the new one on - too big on my wrists - the height of the watch is over 50mm. Though i'd then go back and try the version you have there, but in black 41mm - is a smaller watch than the new model, with the lug to lug being a couple of mm less - job done and new of the last model purchase and happy again. Great watch, the bracelet is a little chunky, but rock solid.

I wanted a clean looking blue dial watch to go with my Tudor Blackbay red (none eta) and Longines legend diver. I never really liked the waves on dial. Did not like the bracelet as it looked to gaudy for me. Also it was a shame that it did not have a micro adjustment. I replaced it with a blue rubber strap made by Zealande (about $200). I also note that the bezel is very hard to turn especially if you have wet hands. However, the watch looks very classy if you have the liquid metal numerals on the bezel as they are subdued and make the watch look a bit less than a pure sport/tool watch. Overall, nice piece.
