Oh I just had an idea for a Novawar says. PopTart. For Zerg, you can defend with anything but you can only attack with roaches and infestors via tunneling claws. If you're confused about the PopTart part, the roaches pop up out of the ground and I would assume their acid is tart... Might be fun.

I had a variation on this idea called “can you dig it?” As a Zerg, you must research burrow as your first upgrade, spire tech is forbidden as well as droplords, can only attack with tunneling roaches and Infesters. Baneling landmines may also be placed around the map. You may defend with your army but aggressive attacks may only be done through a nydus. If your nydus dies, your attacking army may NOT retreat, you must burrow your army in place and you cannot use these units for the rest of the game.

The caveats being that it has to be a high mobility unit that can avoid retaliation damage after attacking and isnt shut down by detection. Reapers, ghosts, stalkers, BCs, possibly vikings. Zerg has swarmhosts when paired with nydus to make up for the lack of speed, but the community hates that because zerg arnt allowed to have efficient trading units.
