Sevika is loyal to the cause, to Zaun, not to a single person. She'll stand with the person she sees doing the most benefit to it until eventually they fuck up or they give up. Vander rolled over eventually, so she moved on to Silco. She saw Silco beginning doing the same so she started to shift until he died so she didn't have to fully move. Now she sees Jinx as the potential face of it all and boom, there you go. There's the person she can shift her perceived loyalty of the cause of freedom of Zaun onto. But you'd be surprised Sevika has a HUGE fanbase in the audience, a lot of people love her.

Oh my gawd, thank you. Someone else that gets her. People hate her because they think she turn her back on Vander, but the truth is he turned his back (in her eyes) on the cause that she, he and many others were fighting for, and many lost their lives for. She disliked Jinx because she was a wild card and threatened the mission but even so, Sevika would not turn her over to the Enforcers...loyalty to her people.

Thank you, I will not accept Sevika slander. Remember she goaded the other Chem-Barons into thinking she was willing to betray Silco then made a show out of killing one of them, because she couldn't stand the idea that Zaunites were willing to throw Silco under the bus for power. She outright admitted to Silco her faith in him was wavering because he was putting Jinx before Zaun, and that she was 100% willing to kill him if he abandoned the cause. Sevika is THE most upstanding character in this show imo, the only one who's been consistent in her beliefs and actions.

Sevika is the only character who's not once betrayed her beliefs, she believes in the cause, and everythng she's ever done was for the cause. Although one could argue Singed is also like that, he believes in advancing science at whatever cost and will ally with anyone who can help him do that, as well as do anything for it, including experimenting on himself and risking his own life.

Yeah, Sevika's loyalty is less to individuals and more to the Undercity of Zaun itself. She'll always support who she thinks will be the best for it. First she was behind Vander, then shifted to Silko, and now she's shifting to Jinx. Whoever will be better for the rights of Zaun.

The reason why I think many people perceive Sevika as kind of callous, backstabby, craven, disloyal or whatever else, is that she's always been loyal to an idea rather than a person. For her, it's been about Zaun since day one and so, her relationships with others are based on that shared ideal. When someone goes back on that ideal, they go back on her. When someone betrays Zaun, she sees it as betraying her. This is why she ultimately turned her back on Vander and even started feeling the same about Silco towards the end of the first season. I get the feeling that this makes her seem selfish and unrelatable, because she never forms particularly close ties to anyone. If personal relationships humanize a character, the lack thereof probably does the opposite.

I think you misunderstood Sevika's character. You can still hate somebody and be able to question someone's methods and still not want to do other things in the meantime. She honestly has some of the biggest loyalty to the causes at which she deems worthy for the betterment of her people. She probably would have gone with Vander if it wasn't for the fact that he was willing to be submissive to their real adversary, so she chose Silco because he represented their best path to freedom and independence vice wanting to be under the rule of people that don't see them as equals. She chose to stay loyal to Silco despite having other options even betraying the other Chem Lords for him because he represented the best unity for the underground. Had they had a better ability to gain freedom instead of just personal wealth, she would have probably sided with them. After all, while Silco's methods are cruel and calculating, he was the epitome of the means justify the cause. She is utmost loyal to her ideals, and up to this point, might honestly be the most straight shooting character in this show who honestly knows who she is and what she wants other maybe Mel's mother.

That’s what I think is a happening. Skys life force went into the Hexcore and her death clearly affected Viktor because while we don’t know if they were good friends, they were still co workers and she was still a human being that Viktors experiment killed. I think it’s giving him visions of her because it knows he feels guilt towards her death and because it absorbed her. I’m glad we get to see more of “sky” tho, I was hoping they wouldn’t just kill her off then leave it at that.

There needs to be a powerful source of energy for any transmutiation to complete successfully and shimmer is very powerful. When there's no equivalent source of power to exchange the hexcore will absorb any other source of energy nearby (Sky's energy was sufficient to change only his hand).

The reason Viktor left Jayce like that in episode 2 is because he saw the plans for the hextech weapon he made for Caitlyn when he took Sky's book off the table. Jayce promised Viktor that he would never make a hextech weapon again (a very subtle detail they show us from Viktor's perspective) Now, looking back to Episode 1, in the last scene where Jayce places the hextech crystal in Caitlyn's new weapon, we see a disturbed look on Viktor's face. It's like he felt it.

I love your reactions they're fantastic, I'll be here for the whole rest of Arcane!! But you're just wrong about Sevika in my opinion. Like other people said, she favors loyalty above all else. And now that Silco is dead, she doesn't have anyone to give her loyalty to, until they met in Silco's office. Jinx has a plan and so Sevika decides to join in. She has loyalty because of how Silco cared for her, and because we know she becomes a symbol (so maybe Sevika sees that too). But just in general, I think she's a great character with a mix of morals, but very level headed. And it will be interesting to see how she continues to evolve as the season goes on
