Have 6 booster boxes of Paldea and a sealed case. Can still get it locally for about $105…..but can also get sealed cases of Paradox Rift for $500 out the door. Have one sealed case of that….equates to $83 a bb. Not sure which one is the better long term investment at these purchase prices?

Paldea evolved is special for sure. That magikarp I feel is affecting other IRs in this set and other sets as far as price increases. It’s almost like a ray of hope it seems when you pull fire IRs.

I just traded in my bulk and a few cards for a Paldea evolved booster box at my LGS! Looking to keep it sealed, but it’s tempting to open since I’m still chasing a few more cards. I’ll wait for the reprint and buy the singles when they go down in price 🤞🏽

Tyranitar is my favorite pokemon so that's an easy pick for my favorite card in the set. It stings a bit tho because I chased it for so long and opened so many booster boxes but could never pull it. I got 2-3 copies of some IR's and even SIR's but could never open the dang ttar IR, so I finally broke down and bought a copy for $20 because after about a dozen boxes I couldn't justify spending any more money on ripping packs to chase it lol. It still haunts me to this day 😅

Favorite paldea evolved card has to be sprigatito IR. Not even a huge fan of the mon itself but it is a very pretty card.

I know you love Paradox Rift too Colin but I think Paldea Evolved and Paradox Rift are the two best sets. Paradox Rift is incredible. It will have its day in the sun one day ☀🌞

I think base set is still better..paldea is good but doesn't have a gallery like base of new pokemon..I would put them both the same..miridon for me makes base win..

It'll be interesting to see how things pan out but Paldea Evolved is likely fighting with Temporal Forces right now as the best set in Scarlet and Violet. Depending on the Terapagos set, it may end up already cementing a top 5 set in the whole era.

I don’t really like the argument that “They’re going to reprint it because it’s a good set and they didn’t make enough of it.” Afterall if that was the case we would’ve seen heavy Team Up reprints back in 2020.
