The Kansas City Chiefs are going back-to-back. They overcame a 10-point deficit to beat the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in overtime. Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs won their third Super Bowl in five years (third in Mahomes' career) and are emerging as a dynasty. Emmanuel Acho, Joy Taylor, LeSean McCoy and James Jones debate whether Mahomes is the most talented athlete of all time, then discuss if this Chiefs Super Bowl season is the greatest run ever.

Mahomes is the combination of Brady and Rodgers. He's got Rodgers' talent and physical gifts, and he also has Brady's leadership, clutch factor, "killer instinct" and just an ability to find a way to win the game. We have NEVER seen anything like Mahomes before in the NFL
@beaulah_califa9867
@beaulah_califa9867 3 ай бұрын
Nah! Brady's first 6-years pale besides Mahomes'. Brady's first 3 SBs were won by the defense not b/c of Brady, the 199th draft pick at the time. Brady didn't become "Brady" until he got Randy Moss. Mahomes is 1 of 1. Mahomes has won more Championships in the First Seven years than any NFL player & his stats as an individual are simply shocking!. They have to look to other sports to find someone to compare him to. Wayne Gretzky, Bill Russell, Lary Bird, etc. It took Brady years to win a reg season MVP. Mahomes won 2 reg season MVP's w/in 6-yrs. Just look at the data man.

Watching young Rogers looks very much like Mahomes, the difference is, at 28, he has won 3 SB and has gone to the AFC Championship every year as a starter as well as the way that Patrick leads his team and supports his organization as he navigates through his hall of fame career. Just like Marino, talent can only take so far if you don't have the heart of a champion 🏆🏆🏆🔥💪🏈
@jeanfourcade

I also suspect the Mahomes has the personality to rally team mates and coaching staff around him in difficult times, whereas Aaron is known for pointing fingers and dishing blame away from himself. That difference must have a huge impact.

@@user-lt1fx2he5swhat does it have to do with talent? Talent is god given ability. There is probably someone in europe or africa or asia who has never watched a single nfl down who is more talented then mahomes or rodgers.

@@kichki777 Rodgers isn’t the most talented nor is the most clutch. He’s the best at choking as usual. Mahomes does things Rodgers can’t do, Rodgers things - LITERALLY ANYTHING can be done by Mahomes. How is Rodgers the most talented ? Arm and accuracy, Mahomes and Rodgers are equal. Running, Playmaking - Mahomes is superior in any sense. Clutchness - Mahomes IS WAYYYYY better.

@@user-lt1fx2he5sNOT many, but his defense averaging 30+ points allowed in their losses in the playoffs coasted them dearly, Rodgers is 1-6 in the playoffs when his defense allows 30 or more points, it’s almost like football is a TEAM SPORT.

The closest active player to be able to break Shady's record would be Jalen Hurts and he's still 4300 yards short.

LeSean McCoy is one of the most fortunate players in the league. Had the opportunity to not only play with 2 of the GREATEST QBs & teams ever but win TWO Superbowl's with both of them. And to make it even better it was back to back for him. With the Chiefs in 2020 and the Bucs in 2021

What really Aaron Rodgers? Who complained that he didn’t have enough weapons every year he didn’t win always put the blame on someone else Aaron Rodgers? I mean Patrick Mahomes may guys who everybody thought were that great into Super Bowl champions! Talent, elevates everything around them Aaron Rodgers didn’t elevate anything

Lol Stop it rodgers elevated his players he just didn't have the intangibles. E.g leadership/moment of truth decision making etc... Which came back to bite him in the playoffs. On strictly physical talent alone rodgers is arguably 1.

I’m still giving the most talented athlete ever to MJ. I understand that Mahomes’ start to his career has been otherworldly, but he did come into a great organization that was already playoff caliber. I understand that his skill is crazy, but longevity matters and it’s just too early to say he tops MJ. He’s just had too much of a sport and cultural impact. Edit: The title was misleading. They only talked about talented QB. Yes, Mahomes is the most talented QB ever. But prime Aaron was nothing we had seen before until Mahomes came.
