As a retiree, I want peace and quiet, so more chance of getting that in Penang than KL. When I want more noise (half the year), I can return to my home in San Francisco...

We are European expats, living in KLCC in KL. Previously we lived in Bangsar and were looking at the possibility of moving to Penang (Georgetown). But after viewing a lot of condos and bungalows, we still decided to stay in KL. Penang is nice to visit, but for living, KL has so much more to offer as in food, shopping, infrastructure, entertainment, culture and so on. But KL is also way more costly as a result.

@@EGO0808 KLCC area is nice! We totally can see the appeal. Yeah there are always pros and cons to a city. What works for one may not work for another. And finally the decider is always the preferences of the person

@@CPoddy Bangkok was less humid when we were there. Now it's monsoon season, which KL also has. KL downtown is very smoggy though. Too many buildings and very little greenery.

@@yougohgoh1 well, the answer really depends on the individual. We personally do not like KL and will never move there to live. KL for us is ok for a visit but not to live in.

@@corporatebreakoutcouple FYI many foreigners and even Malaysian don’t really understand “KL”, for outsider, many relate KL to area around KLCC, but in actual fact, we refer KL as a region which is within a radius of 40km from KLCC, which is called Klang Valley. Kalng Valley is about 10 times larger than Penang Island. The area which is 5km within KLCC only portrays 20% of the city, and in reality we prefers to stay at the 80%. many foreigners are actually staying far from KLCC area which is also called KL. It is a lot easier to understand Penang than Klang Valley, I live on Penang for 20 years and KV for 30 years, until you really explore KV well, it is too early to judge.

Talk is silver. Silence is gold. Because meaningful pauses make your audience think. Used correctly, a pause can be a rhetorical miracle cure. It also gives your audience time to process what you've said and makes it easier for them to follow you in the next part of your speech. I hope you now understand what I mean.
