I am deeply disappointed that you only have 89k subs. You should have at least a million subs judging how technical your content is. Its exactly what kind of technical content pianists love to watch.

When i think of Anime Piano, i prefer Animenz cause his covers are creatives and so beautiful but all of them are awesome.

i came in expecting a normal reaction but ended up getting a semi-analysis of xi's music which I LOVE Digging your reaction so far, and I'm glad this piece is still getting love even now. You made a point about "less is more" and while I do agree, the piece that this phyxinon is covering here is meant to be more...active? energetic? As it's a song for a rhythm game, you could give the original a listen (ANiMA by xi). Your channel is criminally underrated, I hope you continue to grow! edit: MARIGOLD TOO?!

Most crazy anime piano cover will always be AKIBA-POP the Future, by Yui Morishita. Incredible song by an incredible classical pianist.

@@matticawoodPlease do, Yui Morshita is the stuff, many times more technical than the likes of Animenz, Phyxinon but also more musical - his dynamic control makes a million notes feel coherent

There is so much nostalgia for me. I remember looking up Deemo for piano years ago and seeing the first video. I think it would be fun if other rhythm game songs such as Freedom Dive were reviewed. I personally like jumpny2010s video on it.

Phyxinon, in their channel, has like visual computer midi. I also believe there is sheet music. MOST songs they play are from japanese rhythm games, i think they do covers of ones from the game called DEEMO?

They tried to emulate the pianist experience by default through Deemo so yea and Rayark Games (the parent company) used to be so dedicated towards that NGL It's a Taiwanese company with tons of good collaborations with Japanese, Korean and East Asia Composers

I am completely new to this whole music theory thing and have binge-watched nearly all of your amazing videos. Now, I'm very curious about the chord used in the iconic "and I will... See... You... There" speech at the end, which makes these videos so satisfying to finish?

I feel like what you analyzed bled over to what was part of the original composition of the songs instead of how it they interprets the composition in their arrangement. I think you do mention somewhere that you havnt actually listened to the original piece which I found a little dissapointing... I still really enjoyed what you pointed out though! They were eye opening when pointing them out in the original pieces :)) Hopefully you can try to enjoy the original pieces, which are actually mainly piano too!

Please look at Animenz "Grand Escape" and "The World". I think you'll like the first, as he has this thing he uses called 4 hand technique where you hear 4 distinct voices. In the second piece, you might like the guitar riff he played in the middle part. If you want, you could reference the original for the second.

I agree with "less is more". Many of these arrangements add so much decoration that the musicality of the piece suffers. Not that the technicality isn't fun... it can be and is (and the technical proficiency on display is amazing), but... music first. I think that's one area Animenz excels at... adding the technical without sacrificing the musicality. I'd still love to see you react to Peter Bence and/or Jarrod Radnich.

There are no real dynamics between everything in place. I was wondering if anyone really noticed this at all? Almost all of it is one dynamic level the entire time. Just putting it out there. Yes, he can play and I give it to him but there is really no difference the whole time in dynamics of the whole piece.

I don't really agree. Entrance, Marigold, Anima all have differing dynamics which I can say since I'm learning all. The reason it might seem to you that way is because the style "JP rythm games" are generally very loud throughout
