All you really need is to be 5 - 7 feet away from your camera.What I had to do is mount my camera 6 1/2 feet up my wall using double sided 3M tape and angled it down. It can even be right above you if extend it and will track all around you, it really doesn’t have to be on top of your TV. Make sure there’s nothing within arms length in your play area, and also be aware of ceiling fans 😉

Ive had my PSVR for over a year and its been amazing. Like any VR, it’s something you jump on when you are in the mood for it, its not a replacement for typical gaming. PS Store has many downloadable VR games to please any genre gamer. I also recommend having the VR move controllers which make a huge difference.

Exactly! You don’t jump on it for hours long sessions or for your main gaming experience. You play it when you’re in the mood and it’s really only for short burst experiences. I look at it like the experiences you see at arcades or fun centers like Main Event. You pay $5 you get like 15 mins of vr fun and then go do something else.

Excellent Video of both the "Pros" and "Cons" of the PSVR system. I bought mine about 6 months after it released and don't regret the purchase. It really is a great way to "experience" video games with awesome "immersion" and now that the prices have dropped, I definitely feel that it's worth it. Playing the Ace Combat 7 VR missions (especially with my Thrustmaster HOTAS controller) is a dream come true and being able to actually "explore and be inside" the world of Skyrim is amazing! I still play "flat" games (I also have an Xbox One) but playing games in VR is an awesome and addicting experience.

Great Video! PSVR is definitely worth it. I have more Games that I have enjoyed on PSVR than PS4 so far this generation. PSVR has an advantage though, as everything you do, is something you have never experienced before. It is like discovering gaming all over again. PS4 has some incredible experiences, but it is just more refined version of what we have been playing since PS2 and in some cases PS1. Playing PSVR brings you back to being a kid. Once you experience something new in PSVR, you can't help but have the creative part of your brain snap into action. You automatically start thinking about the possibilities the future holds, and it just builds a love and excitement for the platform. I highly recommend PSVR to anyone that enjoys life. If you enjoy new experiences, PSVR is a must, and now that we know it will be supported on PS5, their is no reason to be afraid of it loosing support. Also, don't forget, PSVR is also a virtual theater, which is equivalent to a 226" screen. You can watch you Blu-rays and 3D Blu-rays on a screen bigger than fits in most of our homes. In addition to standard content, there is also a massive library of free made for VR content, from many different apps, including KZbin.

Yes, the newer PS Move controllers are nearly identical to the old ones. The only change was that they went from Mini USB to Micro USB Type B for charging.

100% without a doubt PSVR IS Worth it!!! So after 3 years I Finally got to check PSVR out this week at a friend's house and the very first game I played was Beat Saber and I was totally blown away!! O_O I also got to play demos of Until Dawn: Rush of Blood, Resident Evil 7, and Rez: Infinite and they were Amazing It was so amazing and a trip to be "Inside" the game world compared to looking at it on a TV and can't wait to get my own PSVR :)

@@noaharroyo8823 for sure! PSVR has a huge library of incredible games and it's much cheaper than the PC alternatives. The headset itself is very comfortable and easy to clean (buy a lenspen. 8 euro or something) and very light. Only downside to me are the PS Motion controllers. Tracking can be bad if the camera isnt set up properly. I am mainly a PC gamer because it's just better than PlayStation but man am I happy that I bought the PSVR! Edit: invest in the AIM controller if you can. Makes games like Arizona Sunshine and Doom etc much more enjoyable. Also the games are usually quite cheap (~20-40eur)

A number of us older gamers who have been around since the days of Pong and Space War have found VR to be a "re-entry" into gaming. I quit gaming for years, there was nothing really new and most of the development money was going to huge corporate Devs who were only about the bottom line, and willing to release buggy, unfinished games to a hungry public. I bought a PSVR on release for my kids, now they fight me for VR time. PSVR has a ton of great indy games, new ideas and new levels of immersion. Also I am finding the hardcore VR community to be much easier to deal with than say, the Fortnite community. When VR becomes wireless and down to the size of a pair of goggles it will hit the mainstream and fall apart, but for now it's quite enjoyable being an early adopter.

Same! I'm am Xbox player since 2001. Literally have never owned a PS4. I recently bought a new PS4 slim on payday a month ago and then last payday I bought the psvr headset. I got lucky and found one of the used newer models with the camera and the move sticks from GameStop for $249. When I got home I watched one 2 min video and had that puppy set up before it was over! It's honestly not that bad to set up.

The Happy Gamer Guy agreed! grew up with Sega, skipped everything until I got an Xbox just for Halo in 2002 then the 360 went through three of those but still loved the exclusives to keep me going back and then the ps4 the moment NMS was announced and then psvr for NMS. if a game looks amazing enough, its worth getting a console for alone! (even though I got the ps4 in 2014 in anticipation for NMS 2 years away. just got off the vr with RIGS and the not matches were unfairly hard but after two terrible matches, got an upgraded rig and I've won 5 matches in a row, I highly recommend it!

At launch it was too expensive and had no games. Today, I feel it's worth it because it's way cheaper comes with 2 awesome "Experience / Games". If you have a lot of friends or a big family it's worth it alone just bringing it over and watching people try it out, that alone was worth it. I can't play rocket league now without cinematic mode, it put's me in the game more and I'm way better now, barely ever miss the bus. The Resolution is bad though, next gen it needs to look sharp like our tv's.

Yes I’m getting it and I have played it at my friends house. It is extremely fun. I recommend getting a bundle with PS Move controllers. Some good game recommendations are Five Nights At Freddy’s VR (if you like mild horror and jump scares) because seeing the animatronics loom over you is creepy and it has a lot of content. I also recommend Beat Saber because it has a nice soundtrack and can get very difficult giving it a lot of playing time. And finally I also also recommend superhot because it is just a fun shooter game and dodging bullets and axes is really fun. Plus the theme of time only moves when you move is really cool.

Not only can you use the PSVR on the PS4, but also on the PC and an XBOX. I have run it on my PC to play BF1 and BFV. While not in VR, it was more immersive than my 3 monitors and great fun. On the PS4 I love playing some of the games like Job Simulator or GT Sport. Some of the best things to do on the PSVR is to watch VR videos. There is so many 360 cinematic or 180 VR vids out there that would take you months to watch, and more being added each day as the cameras are now cheap too. One of the best is the tour of the White House with Barack and Michelle Obama. I was drinking a few JD's and it felt so real that as I was l sitting listening to Michelle at a table, I started to look for a coaster to put my glass down.....it was that real. It would have to be one of the best peripherals I have ever bought for a system. I do mainly play games on my PC, but the PSVR is just.....stunning

Sony has announced that the PSVR will work with the PS5, but a newer model may appear later on. There is a difference with the Move controllers though. The older PS3 Moves are Mini USB, and the newer ones are Micro USB, both work on the PS4 though. Looks like PS5 will be backwards compatible with most PS4 games as well so if you find something on special, buy it

also dont play on an empty stomach. ive only ever gotten motion sick while playing skyrim vr on the second day i got the console. ever since i have gone into the game for hours at a time with no problems. i use direct movement not teleporting. so before you play make sure youve eaten and take a drink. if you start to feel a bit sick just close your eyes for a bit or take the headset off for like 5 minutes and go to the bathroom or something.

The psvr is great in one of the people who font get motion sickness so I can go all out with rolling jumping walking manually. Flips and wall running. Play seirneto if you can handle it you can modify every aspect of motion and movement it's great and easy and fun as shit. Its came along way and it's only getting better with the ps5 it will be compatible woot woot!

The first 2 that come to my head are The Playroom VR and Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, both games are great, however KTaNE is useless if there’s nobody else to play with, The Playroom VR includes 6 game modes, 2 are single player, all are multiplayer, and it’s free!

Yer I was there when anologue sticks came out no one I knew gave two shits about digital controllers once dual shock came out it was game over for digital thats why ps2, 3, 4, used anologue sticks.

Not really it lacks a lot of games there’s only 3 good games blood & truth, zero hour, and that one game with a robot that looks like the VR design. If your looking for a full Vr experience stick to pc. If I’m not mistaken the psvr is compatible to pc so you can still make use of it if you own a pc. If you only have a ps4 like me well womp womp womp we’re fucked 300 bucks unless your very easy to entertain. The wow aspect of this last a month or so but I would not recommend this in 2019.
