A mischievous trick when using G&W in port one, and assuming your opponent chooses a port that puts them on top plat, you can up b instantly and hit them before GO is off screen.

I love more discussion on port differences in Melee! Everyone talks about the throw hitstun and ledge/grab frame tie things, but this difference rarely comes up. What's even rarer is people talking about how on Battlefield and FD specifically, the RESPAWN positions depend on port, too. On every other stage you always respawn in center, but on those two, P1 and P4 respawn more centrally whereas P2 respawns in the left corner and P3 in the right corner. As someone who always goes to ledge during my opponent's respawn invincibility, I love when they are on P2 or P3 because I can make sure to get on the opposite side ledge and they have to waste half their invincibility just crossing the stage!

I feel an intense need to support your music career. It might not be that deep to anyone else, but it evoked a lot of nostalgia for me. It feels like the warmth from every PBS kids commercial I saw growing up, kids outside in the big city going on adventures and learning. fd example is funny cuz even in the one case of puff, she wants air control and also doesn’t like to approach so i feel theoretically, a minor positional advantage is the hardest to snowball with puff

Having a higher port number is usually better depending on how floaty your character is. Since you start falling later, youre actionable in time to actually hold down and fall through the platform and never land on it. Thats an EXTREME advantage actually. Imo characters should start on the ground under the platforms. We already use non canon spawns for fd in teams

Also the lower port number on FD is somewhat ridiculous. Holding center stage is a pretty big part of a lot of MUs so being grounded faster means Fox and Falcon can get way more immediate stage control if their opponent is floaty.

Huge fan of this style of content. The self composed bg music is so sick, but I can't help but feel like your voiceover is also fighting over the same frequency range. Fading in a version without an instrument dominating in the 1kHz area (high arpeggiators and piano) while you're talking would be sick, maybe even just a low-pass filter to give yourself some more room.
