Is Puzzles & Survival getting harder for f2p players?

Dude keep these coming, I started this game due to another game giving me their currency to try this. By time I got where I needed to be I was hooked. It's been about 2 months and I've found a good alliance and believe I'm doing well. But your videos have been very helpful to me and some in my alliance as well. Especially this one. I got the jist of the troop formation and heros boost but didn't know about the duplicate use, well I found out hard way when I used both formations one day but the wall, the wall I did not know if your hero is out on march but part of wall set up then someone else replaces that hero. I will be watching all your stuff in full and making sure anyone in my alliance or allies knows your channel. Thank you

I did make a video on levelling up heroes that explains quite a bit about books. You can watch it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/jKTFnGuBfr1rhsk As for blitz tokens. I recommend saving them for when you are in a hurry such as day 3 of GAC. Or if you are having trouble beating a high level you have beaten before consistently and you need the books from that level. Otherwise once past chapter 18 you can activate the 3 times battle speed and auto battle to quickly work through levels you know you can beat just to farm books. Hope this helps! I think one of the things that brings down the F2P players are the event ranks and trying to maximize value. My alliance is always talking about how hard Phoenix is to obtain, or how hard it is to rank in any event without spending big bucks/being patient for months. I’m grateful for the big spenders in my Alliance since they help so much, but these guys have to be spending thousands a week. I’m HQ 24, but will probably be at a standstill for a month or two saving rss and not going as hard in Ace or speed up costly events.

It definitely takes time, patience, and saving everything, especially in the beginning for f2p players. And a spending alliance helps f2p players. I definitely don't recommend an all f2p alliance. But growth is possible and with a helpful alliance (hopefully with some members spending something) it is possible to really have fun. As long as your expectations arent too high on what you can do as f2p. Thanx for the comment!

The resource gathering is painful, especially once you clear HQ25, steel and gas become the issue even with 5 march queues and a helpful alliance, there is a lot of gathering to do. We tend to help people hit the key HQ's like 26 and 30, but there is plenty of other things to do to occupy your time. But a day doesn't go buy where someone doesn't lose their sh*t about finding steel or gas!

0:35 i don't agree with you. Here is why : Counter strike, StarcraftII League of Legends, Age of Empire, World of Warcraft's PvP, Escape From Tarkov, MechWarrior Online, Planetside2, Rainbow Six Siege, Total War games, Apex Legends (and most battle royale), Chivalry/Mordhau/For Honor, Dota2, Rocket League, Smite. And there is much more ! this was just my games on Steam and some that came in mind. This game is a pay to win and we are tolerating it. And i'm sorry to be rude but i can't let you say that about competitive game this is not true.

Almost every player vs player game that is free to play has a pay to win aspect to it. Some of the games you mentioned I havent played. I absolutely agree the game is pay to win and have said so since the beginning. As far as when I said it is competitive and can be competitive at ever level of play is that there are plenty of players that arent spending tons and tons of money just to go around beating on the f2p or casual players. In my alliance there are plenty of f2p players or casual players or players that only spend a little bit here and there that are not only competitive and helpful to the alliance and our state but in addition they have a lot of fun without feeling the need to spend. I can think of half a dozen games I have played that are pay2win that if you werent spending money (daily sometimes) then the game wasnt fun and growth was next to impossible. Theres a big difference between pay to win and pay to play. Also world of warcraft I know is a subscription service. So they get paid every month off you just for you to play their game and you can spend in addition to that. This is a true free to play game. You dont HAVE to spend anything. So yes they encourage spending to get stronger. Name one game company that designs games that are completely free to play that does NOT have a pay to win aspect? I havent found any yet.

@@ValenceRing half the ame i've mentionned are f2p and not p2w. I'm sory you had no chance on the f2p you tried. Though i can assure you one thing. Pay the last hero on those game won't make you win.

@@panareasy6749 there are definitely a lot of games I havent played and usually the most popular ones are the most balanced. So I dig it. For the record I am not totally trying to defend puzzles and survival. I have no affiliation with the game outside of the fact I enjoy playing it. I just want everyone to know it is possible to enjoy the game even if they aren't spending to be a top dog. Thanx for your feedback!

Just started playing this the other day and I'm stuck on Chapter 9 lol. I guess my question is, is Scarlett worth the $4.99? or is it better to get the daily rewards that has Meyer at the end for the same price? I mean if it could potentially help, otherwise I don't mind grind its just that I can probably play around 2-3 hrs a day.

Scarlett is good to have for a variety of things but you wont use her much later in game unless you level her up quite a bit which isnt cheap. Meyers comes free later on from a variety of sources. If you are going to buy a hero specifically I recommend scarlett because it is the only way to get her. Other then that, dont stress about getting stuck in campaign. That's part of the "bottlenecks" I was referring to in the video. Level up what you have and keep trying! Good luck!

How do I protect my resources from sanctuary attacks? Are they protected if they are still in my resource bag?

The resources in your bag cannot be stolen ever. The resources at the top bar of your game screen are protected by your warehouse. Anything over your warehouse cap and everything not collected from your resource buildings are unprotected. I plan on having a video on managing resources to cover a lot of these details. You dont need to pay to play especially if you have a good large alliance with high tech and gift box levels. You will get plenty gems and items free through alliance activity. I personally dont see the sense in paying to compete in a game that has hardcore p2p players who are literally dropping 10's of thousands of dollars on this game. Get stuck in a cycle trying to compete and still get burned by a bigger wallet. Paying to burn would makes it so much worse. The game is fun without spending money but Alliance is key.

I agree! Any game should be fun and any dollar amount spent on it should be something you can afford and want to that adds to your enjoyment. "Wallet Wars" do exist but you dont have to spend anything to have fun! Thanx so much for your input!

I agree, the changes don't hurt that much, you just need to adjust. And its kinda fun to discover the new best way to do the events, and not follow same way for 10 years. Sure some changes will slow down some progress, just don't focus on that. About f2p vs p2w - its awesome if you have some money spenders in the alliance, because you get alliance boxes. And second important thing is even if there is a player who spends lots of money to get stronger, you still benefit from him in the alliance, by doing 1 troop lair rallies with him doing much higher lvl lairs. I love this powerleveling mechanic - i think this is the best balance between f2p and p2w players, and if this will ever change, then we will have a huge issue with the game...

Thanx for your feedback! You make some great points. It definitely helps to have 1 or 2 (or more) spenders in the alliance as you not only get the boxes but also benefit from the higher level lairs as you said. And I totally agree the game is fairly well balanced for incentive to spend and f2p players allowing both to grow in a way that is fun for them. Also I tend to be a bit of a game geek so I enjoy figuring out the best way to play the game with minimal investment and the changes are fun for me. I do know some players struggle with that though, and that's the main reason for my channel. I get to figure stuff out and share and discuss with other players that just want to play the game and have fun. Thanx so much for your input!

What level u must to be to manage to make it to top 500 in arena

It's nothing to do with your level but how strong your heroes are and how well you play in arena. It also depends on what state you are in and how old the state is. If you are struggling to get top 500 then focus on 5 heroes that you like to use together in arena and level them up to at least lvl 211. If used correctly every hero is useful. But it helps if they work together. Fox is one of the better healers early on. And using fox and eve together can help if you find yourself running out of health quick. Just look at what other people in arena are using, find something similar where you already have 5 strong heroes and work on them. Good luck! Hope this helps!

I am 100% free to play and I my headquarters is at level 19. I been playing this game for about one month now and I get destroyed by the whales which is very discouraging. I wish you could compete with players who spend similar amounts of money. I rather invest my money in stocks than a video game. Their is no fairness if earlier players get more rewards for doing the same amount of work.

I hear you. It can be discouraging. But I guess I would wonder why it isnt fair if two players are both free to play, 1 has played a month and 1 has played a year. Obviously the person who put a year into the game deserves the rewards of doing so. There are games that are always exactly equal to start no matter how long you've been playing (like fortnite) but this isnt that style of game. This style of game (which is a very popular style) rewards for play time and money spent. While that might not seem fair just coming into the game, the devs have put certain restrictions in place to help newer players at least have a chance. Being in a good state and a good alliance almost anyone can do well and enjoy the game. If you expect to spend 1 month playing and being the best at the game that is an unrealistic expectation for this type of game. Especially if you are free to play. It took me almost 3 months just to get the hang of the game. Luckily I started almost when the game was released. I would say find a good alliance and compete at a level that you are comfortable with. If that doesnt work for you, then it's probably not the game for you. There are a lot of games I dont play because they dont fit my needs. I wish you luck. It's a fun game if meets your needs.
