Erudition units are so weird man. They're balanced to do 'mid' damage to few targets, but...why? I'm a pretty heavy investor and I'm still just rolling with Himeko and Herta for one of my PF teams, Acheron or DoT on the other. Why would I ever pull this character (aside from her God Tier animations) if she's uber mid in the hardest content?

Because then there's no room for ST damage dealers. Someone who can wipe the field while doing ST damage to each person (cough cough, basically Acheron when geared well and buffed to hell and back) literally makes everyone but someone like Feixiao obsolete (And even then FX's damage is far too in-line with Acheron's, personally). If you don't need more AoE, then you don't need it, nuff said. same with if you already had a cracked Ratio or Boothill. There's no real need for Feixiao.

Upcoming new enemies have wind resistance and physical resistance. Upcoming new MoCs will have 5 or possibly more enemies on field at the same time. Erudition units appear to become more viable in non-Pure Fiction endgame modes. For Amphoreus in 3.0+, apparently, in descending numerical order, new destruction, erudition, and nihility units are being planned, very few new harmony and abundance units are being planned, and no new hunt and preservation units are being planned. New servant summon and HP scaling metas seem to be on the way. This is all subject to change, of course, and take everything with a grain of salt.

If Rappa's EBs were bounce, rather than blast and AoE I think she'd have massive potential, and would fix her falling off a cliff when there are less than 5 enemies

I disagree, bounce can be too Inconsistent and at her current state she does fine single target and adjacent target toughness. It's the same as fireflies for adjacent enemies and assuming the ST is imaginary weak it's only a 5 toughness damage difference (15 on old system) compared to firefly ST. I think her toughness damage is fine, the problem is against non imaginary weak enemies where she falls off a cliff without e2 or on element break supports, of which her best is already imaginary.

pretty sure the enhanced basic will do 10 toughness for each hit, so that means its 30 toughness dmg on at least 3 targets for every enhanced basic, Acheron ult works similarly. For me it's her Attk scaling trace that seems super underwhelming, bonus is way too little for the amount of attk that you need.

​@@iSUMMONYT I think that's 10 toughness on the new system in game and not the old one, so it's like a basic attack which seems okay to me. I could be wrong but that's from their actual kit wording which likely means 10 toughness from the new system. I wouldn't be opposed to it being more but essentially 45 (old system) to adjacent enemies on every single break seems unnecessary. Technically you already do the same toughness to the adjacent enemy when you break because it will be like this. ST blast 30 15 30 15 15 15 Break 0 30 So even when you target let's say one elite and both have imaginary weakness, both will end up taking 75 toughness when the single target one breaks. With Ruan mei and rappas break efficency, this goes upto 150 each. If you increase it, then technically the enemy you didn't target can take more toughness damage if you break the enemy you picked which is honestly pretty odd design choice imo.

Fireflies main thing is her fire implants overall the whole team deals damage even the healer mainly she will get better as we get more fire break based units like some super break fire harmony or respen shreader fire nehality unit.

If her enhanced basic did 20 toughness damage she would literally have the strongest single target break in the game. Each attack would do 20 so 40 plus the universal 5 meaning she would do 45 base. For reference firefly at base does 30 while enhanced. So consider the self weakness break efficiency buff aswell, she's doing 67. 5 toughness reduction per basic with no Ruan mei (202.5 on the old system) plus her adjacent and aoe breaks. You add Ruan mei on top and she is doing 90 (270) toughness per enhanced basic. I think her cureent break is fine, she's currently only 5(15)lower than fireflies single target attack and has the same adjacent. Her toughness damage isn't really the issue, it's her dependance on imaginary weak enemies which firefly/boothill don't have nearly as much.

@@iSUMMONYT well I would like to keep in mind we should compare this to firefly. It's true that her single target should be only slightly lower than firefly, so if it's as you say then I don't think doubling the value is the right call, as otherwise she would be outperforming firefly in single target which as an erudition unit does not make sense. I think a better solution would be buffing her final hits aoe, this way her identity as an erudition unit is improved and it should be enough to make her on the same level as firefly without fireflies level of speed which let's her attack so often.

Her current break is insanely low Skill have 30 break (10 with new system so equivalent of a normal attack Her 3 hit burst have 30 30 and 15... Even counting RM.. Everyone can have RM, keep in mind she has a very low single target break which is nowhere close the other break focused character.. which is a serious issue for now.. keep in mind PF have elites and a boss, and she struggle a lot to break them, so her lack of toughness damage is a huge issue

@@Lew98765 that's 30 30 15 ST, without considering her 50% self weakness break efficieny buff. For reference, firefly does 90 ST for her attack and the same as rappa for adjacent. Again her numbers are almost the same as firefly, it's just that it's a break point where firefly just about breaks whereas she does not, so that's why I propose buffing her final hit to 30, making it equal to firefly so they have the same single target break points minus fireflies self buffs like speed, healing, effect res etc. My criticism was related to buffing the first 2 hits by double as this would simply be too much and make her more like a destruction unit than erudition with stronger ST toughness damage than firefly. If they give her better utility against non imaginary enemies and buff that final hit to 30 instead of 15 I can see her being in a really great spot for more than just pure fiction, more akin to a jing yuan than a jade.

@@EyesDontCry But Firefly get her burst at fight start, keep it for the whole fight, play twice as much, and still have more toughness dmg, at least independently of fodder mobs,Rappa can equal or surpass the toughness with her talent but its dependant on breaking the smaller mobs which will still take her a full enhanced normal attack use for the most common targets, and the 3 for an elite, she's nowhere close Firefly Of course she doesnt have to be, but there are big enemies in PF, especialy the last boss She is a break dps, she does the vast majority of her damage by breaking, damage which are not so high.. how is she supposed to kill the boss if she barely break it with 3 turns of her burst ? See the issue ? Firefly just break any boss in two hits Obviously there is the team that help, but its still concerning for Rappa's current kit

There is never any need for new eruditions unless you don't have FF i suppose but it's looking like she isn't that needed for break if you have anyone else. Also, isn't her break less than lingsha? A healer break sustain support? Didn't they make hers like 30 in v5?

Edit: Got actual values from homg. Enhanced Basic is Single: 10, Other: 5 This means the first 2 inital hits that hit 1 enemy twice and adjacent enemies twice is 20 toughness and then 10 toughness to adjacenet then the 3rd hit, hits every1.. so final toughness is 25/15/5 Also her imaginary break dmg is going to be lower but unlike fire it pushes back the action bar so it will be less immedate damage and more time to deal super break damage.

@@iSUMMONYT I have a big COPE for her changes. I found her toughness values on homDGCat have updated so it is 25/15/5... slighty less than i expected but still usable *phew*. I think they're betting on her talent dealing 10 toughness dmg to non broken enemies to deal with the silver left you mentioned but id rather it just be on the damn basic itself like urself. The Big cope i want is for her skill to change to a domain that lasts until the end of her 3rd turn (END of 3rd turn after using to ideally ulti to get 3 enhanced basics under domain). Domain would allow some sick spray painting the ground as well... and ideally i'd love it to imaginary implant. This would also make a 4 turn ulti rotation (techically 3 because of ultis extra turn but... 3 enhanced and 1 skill to setup domain) to be a solid rotation. Copium is over... yea fireflys huge speed buff and the fire implant with the better atk% to break conversion trace (1% more break dmg for 100 atk vs 8% break on firefly... 8% break to be only a 1% increase would require firefly to have 800% break... rappas trace is really underwhelming compared). Then i have the issue with the E1... with enhanced basic being 20 energy that means 3 basics + skill is 90 energy, ulti is +5... if u get 20 energy from the trace for 115/160 energy u need 39.13% but for the sweet price of E1 to pickup another 20 energy u only need 18.5% energy recovery. Long rant about Rappa.

I'm curious how much they'll actually fix for lower targets after Jade. Everyone wanted them to give her more stacks on fewer enemies, or whatever else to help her in lower enemy count content, but they just didn't. Left it as a paid option on e1 instead. It would be nice if they did for Rappa, but a bit frustrating if they do for her but not for others. I guess I'll take it if they continue to do so on future characters.

I love her animations but I quickly noticed the incredibly low toughness reduction and thats clearly a huge issue First I hate that they always limit erudition to mostly PF.. but also PH has several elites and a boss with an absurd amount of HP.. by the looks of think she will obliterate all small mosters while trying to break big enemies .. which will take her a lot of turns.. + signatures with an avtion advance thats kinda dirty.. Yeah I'm very sad about the current kit... cause I really wanted the character but it will have to change a lot to make her worth pulling...

Seems like erudition needs an overhaul on their style. AoE is balanced to be lower on the dps scale, so I think they should function similar to nihility. Jade is a decent example since she works as a sub dps who provides buffs. Rappa should function in a similar manner where she is a stronger version of mei's additional break. Maybe her personal dmg is mid, which is fine since she's aoe, but her support dmg is good. There's still time for them tinker and improve her kit, because I personally don't like the habit of erudition being locked to PF. There's so much more the devs can do to keep it weird and fun.

Can she Brute force Pure Fiction 40k? I mean non imaginary weak Pure Fiction, if she is given an avg team like E0S1 Rappa, Ruan Mei MoTP, HMC MoTP and Gallagher, with no Pure Fiction buff to her? I feel like... Since the Talent does Toughness damage.., Her break might have a Quadratic scaling effect where if you break all 5 enemies at once, you trigger her talent 3 times to all enemies... I'm also curious how she scales as a Crit-Break hybrid...

From what I’m seeing, she has insane boothill synergy she can kill off the trash mobs and deplete toughness and do bonus break damage every time boothill attacks meanwhile doing a ton of damage herself (almost like Robin?), she sounds insane in that duo of boothill, rappa, hmc, ruan Mei
