When i first heard that The Rock and Chris Evans were starring in a Christmas movie, i think i was hoping for something like Jingle All the Way mixed with Daddys home 2. Something without CGI and they have families etc

I agree about cgi in less serious movies, if the movie isn't too weighty then the graphics don't need to be as perfect for me.

I saw another reviewer make a good point, mentioning this is like a Marvel rip-off, with the shrinking of things being referenced to Ant-Man, invisible town for Santa -Wakanda & more. I don’t know bro, for me there unfortunately wasn’t anything impressive here and I also didn’t think the rock and Chris Evans worked that well together, or at least the script didn’t do them any justice

Fair enough, man. It’s not a ground breaking film, but I don’t think it was trying to be. There was way more fun to be had here than not, for me. As for it being a marvel rip-off, it felt more like a melting pot inspired by several franchises.
