I'm very curious about GTA VI and R*'s history of how they delay their games. They don't announce games with just a year with no mention of what season, but when it comes to GTA VI they went with a general "2025". This left people open to the idea that we would have a Early-2025 release... that was until T2 confirmed a Late-2025 release in an earnings call. On one hand, that initial generic "2025" announcement could have saved Rockstar having to announce the game would be delayed, for 6-8 months like pretty much every title of theirs has been this side of 2007. If true, then it might have just saved them announcing a second delay into early 2026. I'm certain R*/T2 were putting out "feelers" in December. Based on past performance, the window for them to announce a delay for GTA VI would be anywhere from late-February to early-April. A big question, will GTA Online end with a Summer update... or will a delay allow them to go big with one final December update? Hopefully, whenever the final update releases, it's one they've been working on in the background throughout the last few DLCs, one structured more like The Contract and less like these artificial engagement lengthening updates to test for GTA VI Online. I'm not up to scratch with anything they may or may not have been planning for the Switch 2, but I can imagine we'll get a huge multi-project update from Rockstar in the coming months.

They even canceled the 2020 “Cops and Crooks” DLC because of the Floyd incident and obviously scrapped outfits pieces that should have been added into the game in past updates. If they do add RDR2 to the new Switch, I hope they also release a PS5 and Xbox Series X|S version alongside it. I doubt it but the fan-made trailer back in August was so cool, it made me want a new version since RDR2 definitely needs a new version (but GTA 4 definitely needs one).

When we had issues connecting last week my PC social club page had a GTA+ option. It was only there for a few minutes. Logged in and out a few times trying to connect to the game and then it vanished and I could login. So GTA+ and E&E maybe close for PC players.

Also key thing to notice next is that Xbox console coded as “Xbox Prime” is also on its way to release on 2026. Since rockstar and Microsoft are American companies they might have some things shared together after max Payne remaster announcement. Also it’s rumoured that same like Xbox series S there will be cheap and expensive variants of Xbox. I will guess that if I’m right GTA 6 should get delayed till 2026. Rockstar wants players and the only way to do is by getting people buy cheap consoles cause they don’t care about systems but player counts.

How can the big money be on console when there are over 300 MILLION MORE people who play on PC? Do a Google Search for this. How many console gamers vs PC? Yes, more PC gamers, though market research seems to give widely varying numbers: Statista estimated 1.7 billion PC gamers in 2020. Mainleaf estiates 900 million PC games in 2023, compared to 629 million console gamers. May 25, 2024 It seems that if R☆ were smart they would want to cater to ALL of their players not just those on consoles. But maybe that's just me.
