Barbara, thank you for this amazing analysis. I wanted to share my story. Romantic obsession is the worst thing ever. Almost a year ago I got involved in a situationship with a plutonian guy. I, myself, am also plutonian, so needless to say, it was a heavy connection. It was a sh*tshow and quickly went down in flames. I still can't let go, even though I'm trying so hard (but it's way better than before!). I'm in therapy now, I've returned to astrology, tarot cards and took my spirituality to a new level. I have always been very spiritual, but 6 years ago I left it all behind because I got too deep into occult stuff, and I was too young and way too emotional to handle this. My soul was exposed to a lot of entities, and I felt like I was being watched, which took a toll on my mental health. Now I feel better and more confident to deal with higher forces. I wanted to dive deep into my soul to find out why I was so affected by this connection. And yes, I did fall for his potential. It was a long-distance "relationship", which is stupid, and I realize it now. Please, don't judge me... My inner child is very broken. I'm healing her right now, and I have been doing it for a long time. I wanted to heal myself before dating, so when this plutonian connection came into my life so suddenly, I got so scared, I could feel it was dangerous for me and my psyche. I was begging this guy to leave me alone, but neither he, nor I wanted to let go of each other, and... This situationship brought my worst side to the surface. It was my first romantic experience, and I have always felt it in my gut that I needed to heal first before entering a relationship. I've been right all along. At one point I couldn't recognize myself anymore, honestly. I turned into a controlling, jealous, insecure, crying mess. I stopped eating, I stopped living my life. My whole world was revolving around this man. It was disgusting. I was repulsed by my own self, yet I couldn't leave. He was deceitful and was hurting we over and over, using me for my energy and intense feelings which made him feel alive, while I was exhausting us both emotionally. I wanted to die. I'm so grateful to him for freeing me from himself. He ghosted me. It was my first ever heartbreak, and it was brutal. I am a new person now, and I'm not planning to stop. I will continue working on my mental and physical health. I have realized a lot about myself with the help of astrology and therapy. I also have a Pluto-Lilith conjunction at an exact degree in my 5th house, and my moon is also in the 5th house. My 8th house is in Pisces, so that makes me super sacrificing, sensitive, and obsessed in intimate relationships. It was hard, and it still is hard. Trauma, an intensely emotional and intuitive nature, controlling tendencies in romantic relationships, trust issues, lack of emotional security and self-love is a recipe for disaster when you're unhealed and unevolved. If you've read this entire confession of mine, thank you. Please, make sure you heal before entering relationships, or at least do the decent amount of healing, so that you won't need someone else to provide you with basic security and love. Learn how to love yourself, find that inner harmony, and be strong. I don't want anyone to suffer the way I did.

I think romantic obsession often comes as a response from complex trauma, and the fear of abandonment. It can be about control, anxious attachment and addiction as well. Regarding the idolisation of someone and falling for their potential, I'd look into limerence as well. Heidi Priebe has interesting insights on all these topics (from a psychological perspective)!

Fantastic as always, my dear! I think that Romantic’s obsession topic has been more discussed recently because we have a transit of Saturn and Neptune in Pisces! It’s time to face reality and grounding ourselves around this idea about merging within each other as the perfect solution to all of our problems!

Very nice and accurate analysis mam . This romantic obsession problems is very common in these days in many countries where students get distracted from studies , professionals get distracted from jobs .

Hello, I think you are absolutely right! I've experienced this romantic obsession and I have Pisces in the 5th house and Mercury in the 12th house, I'm a Scorpio rising and Pluto in Scorpio in the 1st house so childhood was no joke. Well now I know Alice in Wonderland doesn't exist. Thank you ❤

i wish i saw this video before i cut someone off who was definitely my romantic obsession, but in a good healthy way. none of the placements said in the beginning i dont have, i have Venus Leo in 7th tho which is what i think is what curates my romantic obsession. the person i cut off has Venus in 12th house and Pluto in 7th and we clicked, and had the most chilll connection but i was just so into him and just got scared. I even admitted that I was getting obsessed with him too, and when that didnt feel reciprocated, i ran. It was dumb and i do regret, watching this video makes me feel the guilt even more bc i rejected a human being showing themselves to me bc i was romantically obsessed.
