1 crore is enough even in 2022 to retire if you are fit with no desease. If fitness for you is not necessarily depending on a gym or an instructer. If reading and watching tv is your hobby. If holidaying in nearby resorts. 4 to 5 times a year. Is joyful enough. If your spouse is as fit as you are. If you don't have loans. If you your style is not about owing big brands. If Alto CNG gives u enough joy . If u are a free independent open minded person who doesnot believe in spending on children marriages or social hypocritical money wasting cultural activities. If royal stag once in a while gives you a joy and kick which materialistic snobs find that kick in 9 a scotch. And. If u have an ability to rotate your 1 crore. At atleast 12 percent returns a year. Then , say u retire at age 58 in 2022 ,you will live a fulfilling life for atleast next 30 years without any financial hassles.

True, his videos are meant for top 3-4% of India. My mother lives alone and is able to easily manage all household expenses in under 8000 Rs per month. And it's not that she is living frugally, she eats whatever whenever she wants.

@@whatever3041 it depends where you're living and your life style. When you get to a certain age you don't eat fancy food, go out, no attendant to pay, no car, no driver, just food may be you can manage. I live alone and my monthly expenses is about 60000.00 rupees a month. Just paying the agency for my home help is 15000.00 rupees a month. So the cost of living varies from person to person.

Annual expense of 1 lac ?? Even in 2000 how that is possible ..This look flawed ..People who would be surviving on 8K /month , can't have 25L ..This example seems baseless unless I missed something.

This is best time to lock in money for 10 years at 7.5 % FD interest rate from SBI bank. Future interest rates will be lower. If i survive next 10 years, will cross that bridge when i get there as to what to do with the money that i doubled in fixed deposits

both same doubts i have, which all the assets we can calculate in this capital we kept. also after 14 years still we had 38 lakhs in hand but surplus from the investment negetive

Net asset includes your immovable property. If you can sell it and make it as liquid, maybe you can include this in your cash. The challenge is illiquid nature of such asset and this asset class has not moved in last 10 years

Instead of investing all 1cr in equity, you can invest in some liquid instrument like debt, and STP monthly to equity mutual funds. You can stop once 50 percent of your capital is in equity. Investing lumpsum in market is risky.

Monthly expense of 1 lakh in year 2000...then these group doesnt need to worry because they were super rich. This video is addressing common middle class to upper middle class. No way their monthly expense wud hv been 1 lakh per month. Also if for a moment we consider expense 1 lakh per month at 60 yrs, then at 80 yrs it will become 3 lakhs or more is not reality. Its only theoretical. Person at 80 will manage with a much lesser cost because his lifestyle will be different than what at 60 yrs.
