Mr Subra. Thank you very much for this excellent video. It would have been more useful had I heard this technique a long time back. I am 72 and retired from a Navarathna public sector company. The so called pension what I get now is very merger and there is big battle is going on in courts in this regard. I realised this method late but I do build my investment in equity slowly and systematically, looking for regular dividends. However, I have not gone for direct equity but mutual funds. Though the dividends are not large but they are regular. At the same time there is a little growth. As said by you I try to meet my requirements within the overall dividends and interest and invest regularly about 12% of my income. I suggest everybody can follow the words of Mr Subra so that we need not depend upon any government agency for our future life. Thanks a lot once again

Thanks a ton for explaining this wonderful way of growing & receiving income. Sir, in the next video could you please explain what happened to the dividends when terrible events like the sub-prime crisis, Covid, recessions or depressions & other such crises happened? I'm asking since many retired people would follow this strategy & they'd find peace of mind if they know that the dividends continued to flow under all conditions or otherwise. More power to you! Thanks again.

Thank you so much Sir. Excellent video and very insightful. I have never took dividend aspect seriously and I always gung ho about investing in high growth stocks. Though I have some of the stocks giving me decent dividends, I have never thought of making a portfolio for a dividend income. This video helped me to understand the importance of that. As you beautifully said that the stocks with the PE of 20 with 5 to 6% dividend yield would be a good way to build that portfolio. I will work on this now 🙂. Thanks once again.

This video is very appropriate for me. I tried different strategies of accumulating stocks over a year and I find dividend based portfolio is best suited for me.

Doing SWP is always more tax beneficial than dividend earning. Don't listen to him.

correct. It takes some understanding of the diff between equity share dividend and mutual fund dividend. Ha. Innumeracy is normal.

Dividen is taxable , also dividend yield but if base price flat to negative can be a challege. May be dividend mf is more tax efficient and swp from dividend yield mf..this is my view ...not necessarily, what subra sir is saying is not correct..just consider tax and growth of price of dividen paying tax ,then take a call

If you really want to reduce risk why don't you name some really good dividend paying stocks for a long term instead of beating round the bush. Thank you.
