@@delos2279 thanks for your comment. I don’t understand the Iranian politics too much. I was born in Shiraz but grew up in Canada. I’m personally of the mind right now that, I’m accepting of the current government in the way that they are defending the country from hegemonic threats. I can’t speak of the governments politics because I actually can’t read Persian or understand it that well. But from a foreign ‘policy’ standpoint, I think Iran (or the government if you will) is doing what it can to stop another invasion or chemical attack etc. I’m just for IRAN.

On the one hand Israel was (internationally) way out of line with the attack that Iran responded to, but also Israel views Iran as playing a part in the Oct 7 attacks which is probably true. Or at least they supply weapons and training to Hamas. I think it's a case where none of the governments involved are good. Israel is another case where religion + government + ultranationalism and expansionism is mixing very badly. But Israel might have one correct point that Iran getting nuclear weapons could be an existential problem for Israel, considering how Iran supplies terrorist groups against Israel. Personally I'd really like to see Iran reform to a more democratic government (not a western installed dictator!) Based on the big protests, this is what the Iranian people seem to want though it's hard to see how they can get there from here.
