The Majority Report has explained multiple times that the reason they go after people like Jimmy Dore, Dave Rubin, and Tim Pool is because these people are the mouth of a pipeline to atrocious beliefs and they want to get in the way of that pipeline and divert as many people away from it as possible. It helps them make money along the way, but I don't doubt for a second that the stated goal is the primary motivation.

It was pretty pathetic for Cenk to call Sam Seder a grifter, and then the reason he gave for calling him one was laughable. That really diminished him in my eyes as I was once a huge fan. Is Cenk a grifter? Anyone responsible would say, "I don't know." But it doesn't matter what matters is he's hurting the left. Sam called Jimmy out years before he left tyt, and that got under Cenk's skin. Sam wouldn't back down from it, and guess who was right?

@@stormburn1 He is grifting, but I think people confuse grifting/selling out and what the Grift is.. Cenk's grift is and has been for a long time, that he was a progressive.. That's the facade.. that's the brand, when he's always been a populist. Populism just happens to agree with progressives +70% of the time because Progressive ideas are popular. It's falling apart now, because he's focusing increasingly on issues that Progressives and Populists are on opposite sides. In addition this is why it bothers him far more when the Left/Progressives call him out, because it hurts the image and the brand he's created.. which only has value as long as he maintains it. He only cares about the perception, which is why on TYT he will blatantly lie to his audience to control the narratives around each controversy to protect his image. This is the grift.

The first part of your analysis is great but the final part is a failure. How could say Cenk isn't a grifter? How much more proof do you need? Remember, Cenk is highly intelligent and very highly educated in political issues. He's known about the right wing playbook for ages. He understands facts over vibes based politics. I remeber when Cenk used to go on about how he used to be a conservative and then "saw the light" as a progressive person. I will be honest, if this drama happened in the spring, or now and K had won election…. I suspect a bunch of us hopping between dishing/critique videos, might be above it/not care so much, but this is an amusing distraction from ‘real shit’. ….
