It is mentioned in Kalkipurana that the peak of Kaliyuga will start when the Ganga , the Yamuna and the Saraswati will return to heaven(dry up). The Saraswati is already dried up, Yamuna is on its verge and then comes Ganga🙏
@professorarjun1234
@professorarjun1234 Жыл бұрын
Rivers were always lifeline. So saying Kaliyuga comes when River dries signifies that Human population will suffer a lot, Cuz any big river supports millions of population around it. Even if Godavari, Brahmaputra, Krishna Kaveri, Narmada dries out it will be disastrous for human settlement. Since Ganga-Yamuna plain is most fertile, and north india was settled in more numbers that's why they are mentioned. Kaliyuga in modern terms calls for protecting our rivers by sustainable use.

 Shutudri or Sutlej, an ancient tributary of Vedic Sarasvati River changed the course around 14500-13000 BCE.  Yamuna (Y1 palaeochannel), a tributary of Vedic Sarasvati River also changed the course around 11200 BCE.  Vedic Sarasvati River lost in Thar Desert or disappeared in the sands around 10900 BCE.  Vedic Sarasvati River changed the course and started flowing westwards and became tortuous around 10900-10500 BCE.  The first Vinashana was probably Sambhar Lake around 10900 BCE but Uchana or Parina Sthali in Kurukshetra was the Vinashana point around 10500-10000 BCE.

@nirmalchandrabiswas6403
@nirmalchandrabiswas6403 Жыл бұрын
@@saiharshit.b8661 Sarasvati River also changed the course and started flowing westwards from Kurukshetra, Sirsa to Kalibanga and Anupgarh. Drishadvati River also joined Post-Vedic Sarasvati River. Vedic sources clearly tell us that Sarasvati originated from Plaksha Prasravana and lost in desert at Vinashana. Vinashana was not a city but the area at which Sarasvati disappeared. The original Vinashana was probably Sambhar Lake. Sambhar Lake was formed from the waters of Sarasvati River. Asura King Vrishaparva’s kingdom was located close to Sambhar Lake. His daughter Devayāni married to King Yayāti (11200 BCE). The point of Vinashana might have gradually shifted northwards. Vinashana was at Uchana, Haryana close to Kurukshetra during Pre-Ramayana era (7000-6000 BCE). This is the reason why Bhagavat Purana indicates the location of Vinashana close to Kurukshetra. Interestingly, the shifting of Vinashana point also affected the length of the measurement unit of Ashvina. Sarasvati’s disappearance marked the end of Rigvedic era. Sarasvatiya Satra, a Ritual was introduced after the disappearance of original course of Sarasvati. Videha king Nami, the son of King Sapya was the first who performed Sarasvatiya Satra. In all probability, King Nami Sapya travelled 44 Ashvinas from Plaksha Prasravana to Vinashana. Considering Sambhar Lake as Vinashana, there was a distance of 1000 or 1050 km from Badrinath to Sambhar Lake. Thus, one Ashvina was equal to 23 or 24 kms (15 miles). During the period of Panchavimsha Brahmana, Vinashana might have shifted close to Sadulpur, Rajasthan. Therefore, the distance of 44 Ashvinas reduced from 1050 kms to 730 or 770 km. Thus, one Ashvina was equal to 16.5 or 17.5 km. Since the travel of 44 Ashvinas was linked the ritual Sarasvatiya Satra, the number of Ashvinas remained 44 only but the distance had been gradually reduced. Finally, the point of Vinashana has been shifted to Uchana, Haryana around 7500 BCE during the time of Latyayana Shrautasutra. The distance between Badrinath to Uchana is around 598 km. Thus, Ashvina became equal to 13.5 kms. Since Ashvina was a greater measuring unit than 13.5 kms, a Unit of Krosha equal to 13.5 kms came into practice during the period 7000-5500 BCE and the use of Ashvina measure was abandoned. Valmiki Ramayana refers to the Krosha of 13.5 kms and a small unit of Yojana (165 or 175 meters). Later, a standardization of measuring units was undertaken during PreMahabharata era and a Yojana of 13.5 kms came into practice.

The thing is that what will u call mighty might not ve that mighty for others They might have seen the first river that big. Then they saw the river sindhu. the Rig veda was composed on the banks of the mighty Saraswati river. the Rig veda is extremely sacred. as knowledge itself was born on the river's banks, the river was considered greatly sacred and holy. when the Saraswati dried up, the Vedic Hindus were traumatized. As they migrated to the Ganga Yamuna plains from 3000-2200 BCE, the vedic people, placed the saraswati in a place which was now sacred for them, the Ganga-Yamuna plains. the holy Saraswati could not be forgotten and thus, it was imagined as existing secretly in the sangam of Ganga-Yamuna at Prayagraj. The river also fed their massive farms in Punjab-Haryana-Rajasthan region. It fed them, therefore was the best of mothers, it gave them water, therefore was the best of rivers, and it gifted them knowledge, therefore was the best of goddesses. The location change of Saraswati river was most likely an act of gratitude and remembrance for the once might river, Saraswati once was, as they moved away from the Dried up Saraswati.

Tectonic theory, earthquakes could be the reason. In 1787 teesta river changed it course due to floods to meet Brahmaputra, earlier it met Ganga. rivers changing their course is not a new phenomena. So due to ridge formation it is quite possible that Sutlej & Yamuna could have changed their course which would have resulted in non-supply of Himalayan water & eventually drying out the Saraswati River.

The discovery of Paleochannels doesn''t prove that the dried up river was the one they referred to as Sarasvati. The Avestan texts of ancient Iran mention a river called Harahvati which is the cognate of Sarasvati, and the Avestan texts and Rig Veda share a lot of common stories as both Indo Aryans who composed the Rig Veda and Ancient Iranians who composed the Avestan texts had a common ancestral society who migrated from Caspian Steppe. Neither the Rig Veda nor the Avestan texts provide conclusive information regrading the location of the river Sarasvati/Harahvati. Another thing to be noted is that the scientific research shows that the Himalayan river disappeared somewhere in between 2000 BCE and 1500 BCE, but the Indo Aryan migration into India takes place post 1500 BCE, which means that the river mentioned in the Vedas as Sarasvati can't be the one they have now discovered to have been disappeared.

Saraswati river dried around 1900 BCE Other river too were given the name of saraswati river, that can be deducted from Vedas which describe saraswati in multiple ways. People from stepp migrated in 1800 BCE and Hinduism/ Vedas and sanskrit was formed by intermixing of remaining indus valley culture and Aryan culture. Probably no mass killings of indus people happened due to aryan migration. Also other god than 'Shiva' were introduced by intermixing of culture. Source: trust me bro
