Wahaj nailed his character. The way he portrayed the chronic alcoholic Bilal was different from his past performances, be it his voice modulation, dialogue delivery, body language, or walking. He embodied the character very well. Also, the switch to sober Bilal and his scene in the grave immediately connected with me. Wahaj's eyes did the magic there. His scene with Namdar in the car was so brilliant, the nuances he brought within seconds made me feel sorry for him. Bilal is an interesting character, and Wahaj is nailing it.

Sunn Mere Dil is a typical story. What got me hooked is Wahaj's character and his acting. Wahaj took a big risk by choosing such a character and so far he has done a great job. The effort is visible, be it his styling, voice modulation, mannerisms, etc. He perfectly portrayed the drunk Bilal Abdullah.

Duniyapur has quickly become one of my top favorites. The long recitation of the Quran, something never before seen in a drama, is absolutely commendable. This drama deserves to lead the rankings and should be added to Netflix for a broader audience. I’m beyond thrilled for the upcoming episodes! The plot is exceptional, and the acting is unmatched by anything else out there.

Amna spoke my thoughts about Sunn Mera dil. My first impression was also that both Wahaj and Maya looked beautiful and Wahaj acted very well. Story looked old, sharab pee ke gum bholana, mohabbat mae zehar kha lu ga, so 80s and cringey. Visuals were beautiful but the drama would be watched mainly because of Wahaj.

what's your suggestion?? should I watch it or not??
@anishakhan79182 сағат бұрын
Same 7th Sky cringe-fest….this is 2024 and the audience is intelligent enough to skim through options. The story has to have some kind of meat to hold attention of the viewers. While there are out-of-the-box concepts like Dunyapur, Faraar and Standup Girl, KRQ is repeating the same formulaic nonsense. It’s like Wahaj ke andar KRQ ki rooh chali gaee hai. Having said that, it’s gonna be a huge blockbuster relying heavily on Wahaj’s star power. I am glad Amna didn’t hesitate to speak her thoughts aloud and didn’t sugarcoat the flaws but Hasan is as usual fangirling.

@@ayshcandy7155 You watch it to decide yourself. I usually watch the first few episodes. If it gets too cringy or toxic, I stop. Also I am not a fan of such romances in which a man destroys himself . Over here the hero is destructive from the beginning. Also I am bored of KRQ repetitive style of dialogues, his terms like kamina, and qasam khao, and all actors delivering dialogues in his particular style since Piyare Afzal. I know from experience as my parents said this that it ruins their self respect even if kids can afford it self respecting and people with dignity dont want to be fully dependent on children it ruins the relationship I found that more profound then any scene and it made me cry😞

Watched the 2 episodes of Sunn Mere Dil & I can definately say Wahaj is totally nailing it. He's a phenomenal actor. And how he has picked up the mannerisms of an alcoholic is truely impressive, the slurred speech, the disbalanced walk, his voice modulation everything is spot on. Also the raw emotions Wahaj is portraying just by his eyes is so impressive. Bilal's character is really intriguing, & his story is still to be unfold, there is definately behind what Bilal has become. Bilal & Sadaf's track will be quite exciting I think. How love is gonna change him & make him a better person ! It's just the starting Sunn Mere Dil will definately grow with time ❤

One can't help but draw comparisons between Fawad khan and Fahad Mustafa. While Fawad continues making one bad decision after another ( barzakh and now a bollywood movie with some unheard of female lead, Fahad seems to play all his cards right. He may not have any foreign industry experience to his name (does one really even need that to strike it big?? ) but for sure he is the superstar of the country at the moment.

This is exactly what I was thinking. This year we witnessed the return of four PTV heroes... Hamza Ali Abbasi, Humayun Saeed, Fawad Khan, and Fahad Mustafa. But honestly, the best comeback award has to go to Fahad Mustafa. Seriously now that’s what I call a real comeback. Everyone in South Asia is buzzing about KMKT and his incredible acting. The drama is approaching its climax but it’s still going strong and still it continues to captivate the audiences and I really hope it stays on track. Hamza Ali Abbasi also made a solid return too but the other two didn’t quite hit the mark. I admire Fawad Khan but his rising fame in India seems to have made him a bit arrogant leading him to choose some not so great projects lately. He still has that superstar vibe but at the end of the day people remember actors for their performances, not just for their looks or status.

Wahaj's portrayal of a drunkard is spot on. It's not easy to portray a character who drinks all the time, but Wahaj convincingly portrayed the character from the very first scene. I don't recall any hero playing such a character in recent years. We should applaud Wahaj for taking such a big risk and experimenting with his acting. KMKT: Farhat Ishtiaq has written such a beautiful romance. Even if we love complex tales of human moralities (JSA, RRK, Parizaad), we are always looking for a sweet romance. This explains why we still remember SRK most as Raj or Rahul. Who better to write a romance than Farhat Ishtiaq. She has made Mustafa a green flag - he is infuriating when he becomes egotistical sometimes or angry - but he still remains an empathetic and sweet person who is self-aware and doesn’t take his wife for granted. Just wonderful. Him caring for Sharjeena like mango milkshake, making breakfast or making her laugh even though he may seem sad - is just beyond beautiful. Fahad Mustafa, away from the screen for a decade, came back with such ease that he just flew to the topmost position. I am confident that Farhat will not cause Sharjeena to miscarry which will make him irredeemable, but how she will show the separation will be interesting. I just wish Adeel wasn’t shown this black. He has no redeeming qualities at all. He’s a fraud, embezzler, cheater, liar and manipulative. Similarly, I wish Sharjeena is given more complexity because all she does now is say “theek hojye ga”, “khush ho” or any other sentence of that sort.

Sun Mere Dil: It was pretty obvious from the teasers what the story would be. Khalil ur Rehman Qamar is selling his ishq, bewafai manjan again and who better to portray that agonized Devdas than the popular lover boy Wahaj Ali. I have to admit, amongst all his leading ladies, Wahaj shares one of the best chemistry with Maya. But seeing them in this 7th Sky OTT hoopla, I am painfully reminded of Rumi and Sonya from Jo Bichar Gaye.....how nuanced, profound and poetic was the connection between Rumi and Sonya....miss them so much! And knowing that the director of this drama is Haseeb Hasan, I am reminded of Alif and Jannat se Aagay.....the profound themes, the meaningful plot, the layered characters and the exquisite execution....what masterpieces were those! The journey from Jo Bichar Gaye, Alif and Jannat se Aagay to.....THIS was an agonizing one to take, given the stakeholders involved. But yes I am more than certain that its going to be a mega blockbuster. Because that's what the taste of the public is they love to prefer a Fitoor over a Dil Na Umeed Toh Nahin, a Tere Bin over an Ishq Jalebi, a Mere Paas Tum Ho over an Alif any day. So congratulations to the entire team in advance for the grand upcoming success of Sun Mere Dil. Waise bhi Khalil sahab badly needs a hit after the disastrous Gentleman. Oh by the way, I think Sun Mere Dil bears a resemblance to Gentleman in the sense that the OTT emphasis on Gentleman was how apparent ghundas should not be misunderstood as they are the ones who are real gentlemen. Similarly in Sun Mere Dil, there will be an OTT emphasis on how apparent drunkards and womanizers should not be misunderstood as they are the real decent people. Gentleman mein comparison Munna aur Faris ke beech mein tha, Sun Mere Dil mein comparison Bilal aur Ammar ke beech mein hoga....JUST SAYING

Duniyapur: Another extremely engaging and happening episode. Duniyapur is PHENOMENAL! The story, the characters, the unexpected twists, the THRILL OF IT ALL....keeps me at the edge of my seat. The power politics, the enemies, the traitors, the mysteries, the ruthlessness, ufff I could go on and on about how extraordinary all of this is. Not only is the plot engaging but the execution is just handled with the same exhilarating fluency. Writing, direction, production design, action sequences and of course the performances are all co-ordinated wonderfully. And amidst all this, I am really looking forward to that angsty friction (read romance) between Ramsha and Khushal's characters....its definitely going to be exciting. So far the most engaging character is that of the Adam family matriarch (Zaib Rehman). In this episode, the performance of Nemrah (Huma Syed) was so amazing. The episode definitely belonged to her. I just hope this element of thrill stays put till the last scene of the last episode. All the best to Team Dunyapur!

11:33 Thank you so much, Aamna and Hasan, for paying such a heartfelt tribute to Mr. Ratan Tata. It truly means a lot, and I deeply appreciate the gesture. 🙏 Mr Ratan Tata was not only one of the finest and most humble individuals, but also a visionary leader and a compassionate human being. A true gem, his contributions to India and the world are immeasurable, and his passing is an irreplaceable loss. His legacy of integrity, philanthropy, and forward-thinking will continue to shape industries and inspire countless people for years to come. I’m grateful to both of you for recognizing and honoring such an extraordinary life. He will forever remain in our hearts as an example of excellence and humility!🙏💐

Sun meray dil is cringe pro max!! Every character is playing 5 notches high to what he or she is supposed to. Wahaj’s acting as a drunk tycoon is not believable at all. It is too performative. Maya as a graduate giggling at the silliest thing possible is irritating and the dynamic between three friends is so off. You have spent so much time together and unable to grasp a single emotion. Maya’s brother birthday scene :-| Do the makers even know how 15, 16 year old boys celebrate their birthdays? Certainly not playing musical chairs with older sister with the balloons, jhandiyaan and chamkiyaaan all around. Brother is having a lot of fever, not sure if there is any plot there or scenes are just written to keep him on screen. Amar and Maya scene when she disclose Usama loves her, chai ka girna.. Ugh!! Only good thing was Dynamic between Saba Hameed and Maya and that scene was also ruined by mai apnay sir ki kasam khati hoon. I was anticipating for this drama but first two episodes are major let down!! Why Usama is dancing in the office where he is suppose to give interview? Hira’s hair are so tightly knotted that her eye brows went a little above the level where they were suppose to be! I hope she is ok.
