There's no evidence that lana del rey is the "biggest" inspiration for Taylor. Taylor likes Lana Del Rey, and that's the most that can be said. This argument is just so ridiculous. Please stop. Yes and no, the song lyrics is certainly about she dealing with her friend's suicide tragedy but the music video was directed by someone (I can't remember his/her name, and the tell the story about a gay couple, after one of her suicides, Lana gets homesick and depressed so she decides to kill her self too:'(

It's not. Y'all need to stop spreading this fake rumour around just because the video made a stylistic choice. You really think Lana would actually dramatize her friend's suicide in a music video? She's already said what she wrote the song about. "I would sit under the telephone wires and listen to them sizzle in the warm air while he went to work. I wanted to take the electricity and absorb it so it would make me feel alive and electric again. I felt happy in the warm weather and started writing about how sad and gorgeous the summertime felt to me."

In case you might be looking for something recent from her discography, I'd highly recommend you check out "Kintsugi," which is a song that has such gorgeous songwriting and showcases her vocal choices beautifully.

Just to educate u a little, Lana is a true ARTIST. she's Taylor Swift's favorite songwriter (and thats saying sth). And she is unanimously hailed as the biggest influence in pop over the last two decades. She took pop from bubblegum shallowness to dark, mysterious art with her first album. Her production styles and cretaive dirwction inspired a whole generation of halseys, billie eilishes and olivia rodrigos. Taylor also sights her as a huge influence

I love her music and it’s easy for me to sing because it’s right in my range, most songs are too high now that I’ve gotten older and my voice has gotten a bit deeper so I love Lana and Arctic Monkeys because they’re perfect for my vocal range!
