This is one of the most acceptable facts only ive heard. I've always asked my self, Tiwa is bigger internationally, how no female Nigerian artist can match yemi alade in africa? but here in Nigeria Simi is the Queen. What yemi alade is doing is spectacular, after Marry me and Johnny she hasn't really gotten any hit song here in Nigeria for over 5 years but at the same time her brand as Mama Africa is what's keeping her relevant. You'll be surprised how people from other african countries know and listen to Yemi Alade but dont know Tiwa that much. Tiwa on the other hand opened the door for all the female nigerian artist nowadays in terms of normalizing the expectation towards a female artist compared to their male counterparts, she is rolling on the same level as wizkid davido and burna boy. In Simi's case, she is able to penetrate all age group including teenagers and old people. They all like her music and as you stated she is the sweetheart of Nigerian music also, her marriage to AG Baby has added to that. First facts only I agree with 100%. But on a side note, Davido's AGT is a classiq no matter what you think.

Asa is a legend; Yemi Alade has been extremely successful, but I know she's not everyone's cup of tea. I like the marketable brand Tiwa Savage has cultivated (Celia was one of the best Afropop Albums in 2020); Simi is a talented hitmaker, Teni can be a hitmaker at times. At the moment, Tems is on the rise; we just need more growth & music. As of recently, American celebrities and South Africans have been showing her the most love. We need more Nigerian female artists that radiate star power and confidence with the talent to back it up.
