I never knew this Man is this intelligent. He says everything and mentions names for one to go and verify. He isn't perfect but the industry painted him black and dirty. He speaks perfectly with more sense than the artist now with fake accents. You gained a new fan Blackfaze9ja

I can only be grateful to the Honest Bunch for the opportunity given to a Legend of yore to give an account of his legacy. Blackface really gave a lot to the industry at that time, a strong member of a community that raised great men. He deserves an opportunity to partake in the present and have a place in the future. Seeing Husband material and Nedu perform his songs brought so much nostalgia from my early years. I hope the SOS to the industry gives him a shot at it. That apology at the end was so heartfelt. Thank you Honest Bunch! Stay strong and blessed Blackface Naija... God bless Nigeria Ps : Deity learnt so much. I hope more GenZs can connect and help these legends get some accolades for their foundational work in ushering in this generation

Today I understand where black face is coming from. He was blacklisted in the industry because of 2 face. And he had too much knowledge about his intellectual property. He has been shown a lot of hate. But if you study his songs and how he writes, you not dispute the fact that he is blessed with writing music and he wrote the biggest song of 2face….African queen. He is a legend in the game and should be given his flowers.

NOBODY Blacklisted BlackFace from the industry. NOBODY! I was in entertainment industry for several years and at no point in time was an APB issued for us not to air his music or give him shows. The problem with the Black man is that he blames everybody else but himself for his problems. BlackFace talks giberish about everybody. He insults his partners, colleagues, business partners, industry mates, ececutives etc and you think such a person is worth dining with? You said he writes good music? It's a capitalist world and people are free to spend their money on what they individually define to be "good music". Neither YOU nor I can tell people what or how they should spend their money. There are so many A-list artistes I dislike but then......BlackFace came into the music industry before Olamide, Don Jazzy, and DPrince but those three names have slowed down the pace of their music for emerging talents to grow. That is to tell you that even Lions in the jungle know when it's time to grow and allow others. You said he wrote the biggest song of Tuface? That's a lie. Even their biggest song and former name "Plantainshun Boyz: was off Boney-M. So it is ironical for the same BlackFace who emerged off someone's sweat to talk everyday of his life about people ripping him off. Lastly, if you ever believe in Black Face so much, please invest in him. I dare you! Let's see if you will make your money back. Thank you

I have followed BlackFace and the plantation bois from 1996 because I lived with his family at 20 Ribadu Road Ikoyi, I am very close to his entire family till date. i have watched him write songs, do family acapella for us to sample it. I followed them to their first street performance at Obalende Ondo Street organized by DJ Jimmy Jatt. I have listen to his songs before it was recorded cos like I said I lived in the same complex with their eldest bro who was in the military like my father. I wish him well.

Thank you for using this platform to set the records straight. This is one revelation that is long over due. I appreciate the guest for being as civil as he could. Thank you for revealing how informed you are regarding Intellectual Property rights. I appreciate your leniency. Thank you for also demonstrating with your outfit that you can make a fashion statement as an established musician without robbing the banks or appearing over-the-top. To every member of the hosting team, I acknowledge the maturity interwoven with humor, with which you asked leading questions that culminated in the information revealed. Your occasional “senior”, “bros”, “chairman” and the deafening “hmm” came in handy for de-escalation purpose when it became a requirement. Honesty is a virtue typically found among elders. It is exciting to observe brutal honesty expressed by Nigerian youths on a subject matter as sensitive as purported piracy among musicians. Posterity will certainly reward the honest bunch first in this life, and in the hereafter. Thank you.

Just to let you kids know.... black face artistry is unmatched in this generation. Always loved Him, this tone is fine wine. Blackface did not need to come here, the bias was already existing, a Legend explaining himself. Comparing Di koko (tongolo) to ahead of the game, joke,Just showed their naivety to what music is. Na honest bunch "Blackface" is getting access for a collab, the industry is unfair. Blackface needs a better management and team but i understand him as a Leader, I can relate plus his story.

Naah, I’m an old head, and I’ll say you can compare tongolo to ahead of the game. Tongolo was a massive hit and the production was like a breath of fresh air. Ahead of the game, on the other hand is a lyrically sound song but I dare say it’s not as popular as Tongolo

@@tunde5605 your view bro which is good, we cant all percieve music the same, but i'll 10 times listen to Ahead of the game, than tongolo, you cant even compare the hooks, the melodies in ahead of the game is incomparable to tongolo. For melodies, I give it to blackface.

Thank you guys for providing the platform for this gentleman to tell us the other side of the story. You have humanized and given him fair hearing. All these years, media propaganda has prevailed which has pretty much framed him negatively. Now, we all can see in the words of our Chimamanda Adiche, the danger of a single story. And to Mr Blackface, all i can say is "ride on brother, the righteous shall never be ashame". ❤

The history of Blackface shows you can be super talented and still struggle to be recognised in equal proportion. He may have started on a wrong footing and offended relevant stakeholders in the industry but it doesn't remove anything from his ingenuity in the music industry. I wish he will be recognised for the genius he is someday.
