One thing that I like about this game is it’s mechanics seem somewhat simple. Like it’s kinda rag dolly lol. Butttt maybe that means it’s can be used in a bigger game that incorporates skateboarding without being a huge file :P

Bondedwithpotatoes007 lol I see what you mean! Yeah nah the controls are crazy and I haven’t played it so maybe it feels a lot different. I just notice the ragdoll and the wheel slides lol. But theirs a lot more to it then just judging the cover of the book

you should really use the XXL mod on this game, the base version is way too floaty for me

I agree. You can get some really realistic looking lines when you adjust the stats. I have my gravity set at 12.89 right now (as well as pop and flip speed adjustments) and it looks and plays great.

@@brziperiod Sure man. Mind you I aim for a little bit of a different style than someone like Milky who has his pop settings set way low. I'm not super into the really low pop so mine is not super high but also not super low and the higher gravity makes it so it is not floaty at all. So I can get up on the bigger ledges but nothing that a pro wouldn't be able to handle irl. I tried Milky's settings out one time and I just didn't like how low the pop was. I aim for more of a Leo Romero style of skating. Anyway, here they are. I've been using these for a couple weeks now and haven't changed them. I was playing around with them on a regular basis but these settings feel real nice for me right now. I recommend using them as a baseline to find what is most comfortable for you. Gravity: 12.9 Pop Force: 3.47 High Pop Force: 0.43 Grind Pop Force: 1.70 Manual Pop Force: 1.71 Skater Pop Height: 1.79 Flip Speed: 1.3 Scoop Speed: 1.15 Push Force: 8.1 Top Speed: 8.51 Body Spin: 2.26 Grind Spin: 1.14 Pump Force: 14

I only play on console... But i guess if you play skater xl on pc (with all the mods), its the best skate game available. On console, i really hope for more content and options

This is a sandbox skating sim, I don't think it could kill any full fledged game that has a story and challenges and game modes. Even Andy said he'd like it to be a "full on game" at 8:30 ish. It's just not a complete experience for what you pay for.

Not really the same audience though. Skater XL is not for everyone, and that's okay. I personally don't think it should cater to a larger audience. It serves it's niche very well.
