Is Snake River Farms Pork Worth It?

What's good BBQ Family!! Happy Sunday!! So I recently got a nice care package from Snake River Farms and I got a beautiful American Kurobuta Pork Porterhouse.👌🏿💯 But I'm curious if it's really better than what I can get at my local butcher?🤷🏿‍♂️ So in todays video we're going to find out if Snake River Farms' Pork is worth it. To start I seasoned them both with Bearded Butchers' Hollywood Seasoning and then reversed seared them over El Diablo's Mesquite Lump Charcoal. Then to finish I hit them with a glaze of Kosmo Q's Peach Habenero BBQ Sauce.👌🏿🔥🔥 I won't spoil the fun and tell you which was better, but I will tell you that... they didn't last! 😋 Can you tell which is which? In today's crazy mixed up world, I'm not so sure I need to pay 4 time as much for a more moist bite of Pork Porterhouse. Still you do get what you pay for. With that said, I would still stick with the cheaper cut and since it came from the local butcher, another plus to keep those guys in business too...Great video. Now I have to try that sauce.

I'm a big fan of the El Diablo mesquite charcoal. I haven't seen it locally for awhile. Last time I bought it I paid $12.00 a bag 40# pound bags. Just finished my last bag last week on my LSG charcoal basket rib cook. I love SRF products however they are pricey🤑 Love their whole kurabota pork shoulders and Wagyu Black Briskets. Nice job on the cook comparison👍 SRF steaks and chops are delicious and definitely special occasion treats.

Good Day boss!! Yes that El Diablo charcoal is great and cheap... it's definitely a great find. I have a one more cut from SNF that I will do a video on just to close out the pork comparison.... I'm pretty comfortable with their beef..while I wouldn't always get it because of the price, but I feel like there's a noticeable difference between that Wagyu Black Brisket and what I can find locally. @@KillerMillerQue keep your eyes open for a SRF sale on their whole kurabota pork shoulder. They average 18 to 21 pounds each and IMO are the best pork shoulder on the market. I've done 4 to date and each time they exceeded my expectations. Also look at piedmobtese.com for their beef. Naturally lean, exceptionally tender, delicious and reasonably price. Have ordered from them on several occasions with excellent service and the meat arrived frozen solid each time which is a concern here in AZ.

I totally agree... you just can't beat the bang for your buck when it comes to a good old Weber kettle. That El Diablo charcoal was wild too... I've never seen anything like it up here. So jucier butcher, tastier Snake River... but four times tastier? Hard to imagine. This was an impressive comparison to see. Nicely done Joe. I have to try making a Pork Porterhouse now!
