The reason soy cannot be a staple food is that even if it is fermented, goitrogens cause thyroid function to drop, metabolism to slow down dramatically, and you stop sweating altogether. Another reason is that excessive intake of omega-6 causes inflammation throughout the body. Both of these can cause hair loss.

when u say 2-3x a week of soy..do this include tempeh, soy milk and soy protein powders?

Too much soy in so much processed food, it seems. Too much soy raises progesterone levels in men. Not a good thing.
