Yankee Stacking , I’m not sure where you get such good deals. I regularly check ALL the major PM dealers at comparesilverprices.com and the lowest I ever see is 15% premiums, while junk silver and 10oz bars are 2-3%. They do the math for you right on the page and update by the minute

I wasn't a eagle guy until after talking with my LCS guy. My LCS likes eagles so I like them even more now! I'm a 50%er now, 50% gold and 50% silver. Gold prices are on the higher end so I figured I'd stack some before before the price felt unreasonable. ✌

When I first started stacking 2 years ago I was all about rounds and bars. Once I got a few hundred oz I really got into Morgan's Peace dollars and constitutional and I love it. Now that my base is up considerably I have been filling my first monster box with ASE. I have been getting 1 tube a week and a roll of mercs. Working on guardhouse boxes of dimes, quarters and half's. Best addiction in my life. Best saving practice I have ever had as well. It has changed the way I spend my money. I used to waste it in crap basicaly. I am so very mindful of how I spend. The dollar is on its way out so I sell my paper for real money. I love your videos and really love Tim and Dave's knowledge. Thx for yours as well. I hope people are stacking prep items as well. We are at the pinnacle of major changes in this country and the world in general. If the trucks stopped rolling in these fragile times do you have essentials to last for 3 weeks min? It only makes since to have a plan. My Faith in God has been opening my eyes and I feel compelled to share this. Much love

@@YankeeStacking My lcs only pays $0.02 over spot for ASE, $0.50 under spot for generics so the number didn't make sense for me, it still doesn't. After I bought my first tube of ASE I absolutely fell in love with it, the quality and design beat most generics by miles. I'm too cheap to pay crazy premiums for hand poured, I don't want to bored myself out with all generics either, ASE is sort of at the sweet spot and the "beauty to cost ratio" is perfect for me. I even persuaded myself maybe one day I'll move somewhere I can have a better coin shop that's pays $2 over spot for it. Lol I'm not being rational and I'm fully aware of it, I just prefer to be greeted by these beauty when I open up the safe. Being government minted and its popularity and recognizability may one day pay off, or perhaps the silver price goes to the moon in the future I won't even care about the extra dollar or two, I really don't know, but one thing for sure is that these metals are for my kids, they are the one to find out its future value, but at least for now I get to enjoy stacking what I love, it's a win win.

Nice stack Yankee, keep checking for low montage dates and special variants ( like 2008 with reverse of 2007). If you are not interested in the specific date flip them and use the money to buy common dates to increase your stack.

You are very articulate and easy to listen to. A couple of points: it doesn't sound like you have sold many silver eagles. In my experience if they aren't BU you you won't get much premium. Secondly a focus on premium per se is not the point as much as the price your paying. A $3 premium when price is $14 is not a big deal versus paying $2 under premium when price is $30. Price matters more than relative premiums.

When you go to sell your silver, you will be glad that you have ASE's. Many dealers don't even want to purchase generic rounds, but they will buy ASE's all day long.

I’ve been buying quite a bit of constitutional since I can get really good deals on it. I have nothing against eagles and plan to buy more. With my constitutional for under spot prices I can get locally from a private seller I’m focused on tapping that resource dry first.

Got me a monster box of ASE a while back when silver was 15$ to help cost average my other 300-400 ounces down that I bought in the low 20’s. Glad I made the purchase at this point. I’m about averaged in at current prices. Haven’t even broken the mint seal on it not sure if I ever will. Maybe my grand kids will break that seal one day and sort through the treasure if I ever have any.

This is just one of those topics where one size doesn't always fit all. It is important to know who you will be selling silver to if you need to do so and understand what they want to buy and how much they are willing to pay for it. For me, my LCS only buys generic when he wants it - which he doesn't always want it and it better be perfect if you want spot - therefore, i don't buy it! He is ALWAYS buying Silver American Eagles and he pays $1 over spot for them. He pays .50 cents over spot for other BU Coins (Maples, Phils, Kangaroos) in BU condition so this is what i stack. It really isn't just about what you pay for gold and silver but also what you can sell it for. Great Video, Yankee!

LCS here has ultra high premium on eagles. Over $4. Big deterrent to pursue them privately. However they do offer cull eagles for $.50 over sometimes so I’ll pick them up at that price. . Never could get enough momentum on eagles to consider making them a participant of the foundation. Atthe price of $4 per, Ive decided to go with libertads instead. Thanks for the vid!

My dealer pays spot for gold, silver, and Platinum. He pays $100 under for palladium and $200 under for rhodium. He will buy any amount and pay cash, check, or wire whichever you prefer. For this reason I only stack 100 oz pamp Suisse and RCM bars plus it's easier to stack and move around when I sell.

I'm working on stacking BU American Eagles and I think some BU Canadian Maple leaves. Like a monster box of 70;30. APMEX has a lower premium on Maple Leaves than Eagles. Yankee, do you know if this is usually the case? And the Maple Leaves are 9999's.

I know very few will agree with me, but here's my humble opinion on the topic. I feel that the "All silver is the same" mindset only plays out if there is some major SHTF event happening and there is a worldwide economic collapse. While this is certainly possible, I feel the odds are pretty slim of a collapse of that size. While I agree it's always good to be prepared, I think that smaller regional crisis are more likely. With that being said, unless there is worldwide collapse and all major monatary systems fold, there will always be collectors. We as humans like to collect things. So with that in mind, I don't mind paying small premiums for the right coins. For me, the right coin is a balance between design, mintage, and premium. Look at it like this, if you put all your money into pure weight, you only have one bet on the table, and that is that silver will hold or increase in value. However, if you spend a couple dollars more on a low mintage piece at time of release, you now have two bets on the table. You can make money when silver increases OR you can make money off of the collectible nature of the piece. If I'm looking at paying around $20 for an ASE or Maple Leaf that they made a billion of, or paying $22 for something with a mintage of only 10k, I'm willing to spend the extra premium to give myself a second path to gain on my investment. Like I said, I know this is an unpopular view from the rest of the stacking community, but I know there are others who feel the same, and just wanted to share my viewpoint.... Take it for what it is.

Where to begin. I know... thanks so much for leaving such a detailed comment. I really appreciate the support...and your opinion! Now for mine... Actually I think I would go the opposite of what you say in your first paragraph. In the case of a worldwide economic collapse not all silver would be the same. Bars and rounds would suffer from a lack of trust. And gold would be doubted unless it was hallmark or government bullion. That’s my opinion-we’ve never been through such an epic event. Speaking of an epic event… A global monetary collapse… A Fiat currency reset… the Zombie Apocalypse (no not really). I am quite convinced we’re close to that. You need to make sure you research what almost happened in 2008 we came within just hours of having a global collapse. I’ll never forget it. Remember, our world currencies are all interlocked. This is a global economy and we have done immense damage to all our monetary systems. All countries! There is a massive race to the bottom with interest rates and the devaluation and debasing of currencies. There’s also bubbles upon bubbles. The derivative bubble being one of the largest. If you haven’t seen my video called “it’s different this time” you need to. I’m not an economist, but I do study macroeconomics and we are in terrible shape globally. One last thing. I collected things since I was a child. All kinds of things. (I actually did a Yankee Stacking story on my collections). However, when we are struggling to find food to eat and potable water to drink we won’t be that interested in collecting ANYTHING that doesn’t keep us alive. If that sounds extreme, I’m sorry. But remember also that the US government itself tells us to prep. There’s no way they can sweep in and provide us all with food, water, and supplies-and they know it. I went to a coin shop in Tennessee a few weeks back and the guy was paying 20% below spot for ASEs, it was not very encouraging for me to be buying high premium US bullion. He claims the market is "flooded" with silver and that's why he won't pay any more.

I doubted it for many months, but finally checked it out and I'm so glad I did!

Culls for life! :) Saturday I went to a coin shop looking mainly for air-tites for my 2019 Australian rectangular dragons, unfortunately the owner didn’t have any. So I asked to take a look at the bullion he had in stock, so he brought out a tiny box. I ended up being able to cherry pick the box. A 2017 BU Maple Leaf, a 1oz Engelhard bar, and one of those Constatution rounds with the 13 colonies on the back - for $19/ea. I knew the Maple and bar would easily cost me more online, especially with premiums, tax, and shipping. The round was really just a cool piece that I showed my son, since he just studied the colonies last school year. He thought that was awesome

I just moved some of my bitcoin holdings into precious metals. I have not spent any fiat on precious metals at all. But I can definitely see how one can get out of control. Silver is such a beautiful element and there are so many cool collections out there. I will collect the new queens beast series and then stick to eagles until I can fill a monster box. Semi numismatic or collectible bullion can sometimes make you a nice profit. However, as I said in my video I am never selling my precious metals! ASEs are but one leg of my Stacking Strategy! 😆👌🏼

Bogy, I actually purchased a fake from China a year ago. It’s not really that difficult to “spot a fake“ including weighing them, measuring them, and checking them with a powerful rare earth magnet. 👌🏼

Well, if they’re circulated (cull) they already have scratches on them. If they’re brilliant uncirculated I’m if it more careful and try to avoid scratches in the tube. However, these are bullion Coins and I don’t stack them for their numismatic condition but rather their metal content and recognizability. Thanks for the comment! 👌🏼

I am a prepper Stacker through and through. And while I have flipped a few coins for some pretty cool profit I don’t believe the economic landscape will support that type of flipping for much longer. No offense, but during the type of economic disaster I fully expect us to go through in the coming years I want nothing to do with this type of bullion.
