We should talk more about Stormzy. The bruddah’s not given enough credit for what he does. From the scholarships to Merky Books, to Grenfell, to calling out the government, to being himself, and just being impactful!! Bro... in my eyes, as a young black guy, that guy is a legend.

Stormzy has a 360 MOVEMENT ... root, middle and the top... just the whole sandwich ... Stormzy reps not just success, but all round cultural content . The music now just aids his movement. Dizzee is a legend , a pioneer , but doesn’t represent an entire movement.

I remember a few years ago, I received a promo email from Red Bull, they bother me sometimes but it's good stuff. So, I decide to open one and as I'm busy scrolling through, there are 3 clips of Stormzy performing at Roskilde. I've been following the UK scene for a while now, and his songs were being played on Rinse and 1xtra but they were relatively unpopular. Let's just say, the Denmark crowd shook me fam.

Gwan stormzy, I fully rate stormzy and he is the right man to reflect urban culture. He moves correctly, I’m not even a huge fan, I like biggie, mobb deep, OutKast, Tupac and them older heads. But as a young man you can see how stormzy pushes boundaries for English urban music without telling you to stab people or trap

Can we have a talk about slept on artists in the UK? Because we have so many! Like, you look at how hard Merky Ace has been going, his catalog, and it’s not just like it it’s repeat bars On new beats. We have so many people over here in the UK that get sidelined and your platform must get global views and it’s time we shine light one some of our favourite artists. Plus I want to hear yours, dans and poets favourite slept on artist

Janelle Monáe? Lizzo? Dave? Performance was great There a lot of UK artist who weren’t given the chance to headline Glastonbury due to the time within the music being biased to rock bands. Music has changed hip hop, grime, drill is mainstream so they can’t hold artist back like they use to. I don’t really think stormyz music and live sets are that great but he popular and had a lot of great success

People like u love to complain. U understand exactly why he is saying. A lot of slang that is used aint even english and ur complaining about something so trivial
@ZacharyAghaizu4 жыл бұрын
@@LoadedFlair lol I've gotten used to it or it dissapeared but I gave criticism because it was consistent in each video. Nigerians tend to pick on language errors often. It's not about slang. I'm sure you have corrected someone mispronouncing something. It's good to do that because in this society we live in, the better your English, the better you'll be received in business etc. It's not a one off. There's a difference between slang and incorrect English. Like I'm not telling him to not say Bruv or Mandem. That would be as bad as telling an American to say aluminium as alumni-ium instead of alu-min-um. Could of---- keeps the viewer thinking in a different way and can lead to confusion in many listeners. People are aloud to critique, I want this podcast to be the best it can be. Just the same way the camera quality, the conversations are edited to have the best bits. Podcast is about conversation. If the conversation flows well, then it does better. Not saying he has to speak posh haha. In fact I like the inclusion of slang (especially when describing stories from those areas and becoming the characters). I don't hear could of as a slang term. I understand where it came from because could've sounds similar. Raah, I'm writing a whole article on here haha
