World Tour mode is genuinely genius for the new-player experience though. Except for some Mortal Kombat 9 and 10, I've barely touched the genre, and got SF6 just because the character creator looked goofy. Then through World Tour, I got introduced to so many characters fighting styles though the master system, rather than through the standard 'spam buttons in the practice mode until it makes sense'. I got the chance to understand that Jamie, Dee Jay and Juri are my favourite characters without having to get my ass torn open in the online mode first.

As someone who has never played a Street Fighter before. World Tour mode was a very good intro difficulty to teach me the mechanics of the game 1 by 1. Dunkey may have thought it was too easy, but for me it was a way I could actually understand the game and get better. The enemies as you progress go from not doing anything, to you getting rewarded for using certain moves on them high/low/grab, etc and I thought it was awesome for teaching the mechanics slowly to someone who doesn't already have hundreds of hours in fighting games. It is a very good mode for setting up the structure to understanding the game better. That being said, I do wish it had a New Game+ mode after you beat it or something to help continue the skill grind.
@coolman5242 Жыл бұрын

for someone who sucks at fighting games the world tour mode has actually been surprisingly fun and engaging. creating your own character is refreshing since a lot of the main roster isn't super visually appealing to me, and getting to swap out abilities from different teachers gives you a lot more creative expression. i can learn stuff more at my own pace rather than reading through a suepr long command list on the pause screen. yes a lot of the common enemies are super easy and don't do much, but later on you get to fight ones who actually pose a bit of a challenge (at least for a noob like me) and it's made me think more about my decision making and the tools available to my character. not a super engaging "story" either but i never expected that from a street fighter game to begin with. all in all great for beginners to take a more relaxed approach to the game rather than get your butt handed to you by veterans online all night.

The only thing I have to say about world tour is that it’s a brilliant attempt to to lower the floor to get even more people into fighting games. The world tour character created is the best character creator I’ve ever used in any video game. It’s insane just how much control you have…you can make your character looks like anyone it’s insane.

Street Fighter 6 is the 6th Fighting type game but Gollum is the first Prison Routine type game so I’m gonna have to give it to Gollum for this one dubskey
@RandomDude647 Жыл бұрын
Nah, the first prison routine type game is Hard Time by MDickie

Prison Architect, Rimworld and Kenshi are way better Prison Routine Simulators.

Because the "difficulties" seems like a really low bar when its a simple mathematical question: "if you only need to recruit 4 people, and all you need to teach those under you how to recruit 4 people again, how long does it take to hit the global population?" Answer: the 17th generation already need interplanetary recruitment to hit the target :D

One of the best fighting games ever made. They could have released this game without World Tour mode and it still would have been amazing but the fact they added that mode and everything else is just damn

Completely serious during clips of character on screen is the best part. No breaking down I laughter without being able to regain composure.

Bold take by dunkey, a rare site. ESPECIALLY when calling Gollum’s perfection of video gaming into question

Imagine throwing a fireball at a man and then dunking him into the core of the earth and he STILL has to sell you a slice of pizza. Despite the actual fighting being whelming in World Tour Mode it is the funniest story mode I've played in a while.

World Tour gets harder as it goes along, and you add a ton to the character customization options by getting stuff in it, so it's worthwhile overall.

I think the reason the character creator allows you to do this stuff is because the developers wanted a good laugh(I don’t blame them)
