Is Sustainability & Zero Waste a Privilege?

The sustainability movement and the zero waste movement are growing, however something that isn't talked about enough is how these movements are often exclusive and only achievable by the elite and privileged.
Sustainability should not be exclusive. I'm aware that for me personally I come from a place of privilege, and there are many systemic things that need to change in order for sustainability to be a given for all, accessible, and achievable for all.
Looking at zero waste swaps, the food system, and fashion we can see that privilege definitely plays a role.
