Swgoh Definetly isn't going anywhere soon. I agree with you 100% nooch, they are making hundreds of millions so far. Plus with the past year, LSB have shown CG how much money is still to be made from this game. I think there is still at least 3 years of life In this game at least. Plus, even though CG doesn't care about this, this is one of the only bastions for all SW fans of EVERY single inner circle. All types of SW fans play this game, from the casuals, to the hardcore.

I had 6 months in 2017 then had time away and came back when revan was new, played daily until a few months ago got 4 GLs slkr, JML, rey, jabba aswell as a few conquests units like Malgus. I enjoyed my time witht the game but it started to feel like eveything was becoming a time sink. What started as 15m doing the dailys turned into over an hour doing guild tasks and things like earning the bew GL tokens (which are terrible btw) Final nail in the coffin was conquest requiring hours of my time to get a reasonable box and a few datacrons. I still follow the game every now and then but dont miss it

There are still a significant number of new players coming in, but they pushed away most legacy players. You used to just have rex and aayla and barris. Then they reached a point where whaling was necessary for progression.

The title of the video made me think about the game. I personally feel like the characters that are coming are not super exciting. I also think that the lightspeed bundles unintentionally created a weird vacuum where there was so much going on with bundles and people were getting GL’s. Now your back to this old grind where each character has to be farmed gear and all. I can see how that would be frustrating to some players

0:06 Dev’s may not be 💀ing off the game, but they SHOULD be. Frankly, it’s sad commentary on both corporate ethics, and what we as paying consumers choose pay for with our ever-dwindling, hard earned $. $ and time $ that could be used in so many more practical, needed, fun, and enriching ways like putting quality food on the table, vacations, reading, learning about REAL life/wisdom accumulation, your, or ones’ child’s education and on, and on. Though I’m not entirely FTP (-$200 in total on LSB’s last December, and then foolishly some on crystals more recently), below is the MAIN reason I will be F2P for the rest of the time I play SWGOH. BTW, in context with everything I’m saying here, whales make me sick, and dumbfound me on so many levels. Don’t get it twisted either, I’m not jealous of them at all, due to their overall idiocy IMO 💯 Lastly, no, I’m not much fun at parties…I’m a dissenting, realist, contrarian. The following are my thoughts copied from a comment I left on Ahnaldt’s latest video (today’s) about The Punishing One. “I said it before the other day, and I’ll say it again today, but in a slightly different way: CG/EA needs to be seriously investigated for continually producing a service that creates an end result which deceives/misleads the paying consumer. They do so by creating a product that makes paying consumer believe that they are getting one thing (this time around concerning “The Punishing One” and the actual, initial, quantifiable game play results displayed by people’s in game testing, like Ahnaldt) only to the pay $ to acquire (The Punishing One) what they’ve seen, then at some point later have the carpet pulled out from under them by CG/EA when they change key aspects of the thing purchased, thereby making the purchase “not what the purchaser paid for.” This is called consumer fleecing. Like others have said, or are likely thinking, because there are so few regulations/laws on the books pertaining to the governance of the video game industry as a whole, what CG/EA is doing is not “illegal.” That technically may be the case, but this is why I say that someone out there needs to do something about this. It is not only consumer fleeing, but it is fraudulent business practices being levied against the consumer. I honestly miss doing HAAT and HSRT. In the persuit of Content, the game stopped being fun. The more GLs I get the less places I can use them. 400k+ Sim tickets stocked up, nowhere to use them, and until you 3⭐️ the assault battles, just piling up. The Krayt raid was the beginning of disinterest in the game.

Prior to making content I was able to have 4 accs easy for this game. After about 6 months I found myself playing only the Erith acc now. Game is by no means dying but as my channel is newer I rather not pigeon hole myself solely to swgoh content.

Yeah man, I am very close to selling up my 8.5million account and saying goodbye. Recently it feels the more time I'm putting into it, the less I'm actually getting back out of it. I understand it's all about progressing but when you feel you aren't actually improving and every time you finish a long farm, something comes along that just wipes it off the board its very disheartening. The whole Punisher One thing is just ridiculous too. I went from consistently getting #1 with my exec in an arena full of Leviathans to now not being able to compete because the whales have just bought 7* P1s and I won't be able to compete with that for at least 6 months meaning my crystal income has just taken a huge, huge hit. Convince me to stay because I'm close to walking here!

I think some time off might be the answer rather than knee jerking, selling everything and then regretting it a few weeks later 😂 I think if the P1 wasn't affecting crystal income I wouldn't care but I worked so hard to compete in a shard full of leviathans that it just feels one ship has completely undone all of it. I've literally just got all the reqs for Profundity and apparently that's even more useless against the P1 too!

@@NOOCH2GUD just having guild issues, joined a new guild in March, and it had its ups and downs, but recently had some strong committed players leave because of the Raid MK3 crunch holding them back from progressing their relic toons. They left mostly for that and lack of solidarity amongst the guild in guild events. I get real life gets in the way, but it’s not fair to the whole guild if communication isn’t being brought forward properly

i personally do feel like the devs r pushing players away the game i feel has become a LOT more p2w n less f2p friendly n that personally has been pushing me away but if u look at a game like marvel future fight which yeah is heavily p2w but has geared itself more to f2p over the past few yrs bc ppl have done boycotts but the swgoh community (to my knowledge) has not which lets cg think they can get away w making the game outrageously p2w n making it impossible for f2p to low-spending players to catch up n be able to succeed

The Napoo raid has had some part in some players leaving, the time it takes vs the Endor raid is far too much, it pushed a quite a few players over the edge into quitting. A poll on reddit, around 10% or less actually like the raid, most are just doing for the guild / rewards. The next raid needs to be more player friendly. I will keep playing until the lights go out, either the game or mine ha ha.

Nooch, video idea/request: the arena design of both squad and fleet discourages returning players. Because the game sticks you permanently in an arena shard, if you quit the game for a time, then come back you will be millions of gp behind. I used to be top 10 in my fleet arena, quit for 3 or 4 years due to rl. When I came back my 2.7 mill gp couldn't touch all the 10 million, can't break into even top 100 now. The game design discourages/punishes returning players and those that need to take a break. You can use my account to show what I'm talking about if you wish. Just an idea, take care... and game dieing because 1 content creator quits? Lmao

Urrrzatron is coming back 🤙🏻 when I started playing mobilegamer was posting videos from his mobile phone which is why he chose the name. Cubfanhan , warrior and goingnerdy had creator accounts with ahnald so they could max toons straight away and show them out. For me the breakout video where they were nearly kicked out of the hotel because they were being too loud… swgoh was that good lol, (cubfanhan 23 Feb 2018). I was crazy excuses discord but she went from content creator to cg employee 😲… the tip of the spear controversy was huge compared to the grumbles of today. Cg Cary was removed over that. This game has just gone from strength to strength. The hugeness is a victims of its own success

I quit recently...for me its a matter of the game has gotten too grindy for too much repetitive boring content. TB is about 45 minutes per day for me when its active. The new raid is about 30-60 minutes a couple times a week depending on RNG. Conquest is another repetitive time sink, as well as the GL event the day after it ends. I've primarily enjoyed PVP content in this game, GAC and TW, but I really hate datacrons. My initial hope for them was they'd make some bench warmer teams useful, and that hasn't really been the case, they've more just evolved into each set putting a couple already good teams on crack, and if you don't roll the right 2 or 3 datacrons for the current set you are at a massive disadvantage...so now I'm left with a boring repetitive datacron farm to play PVP modes I've lost interest in? The icing on the cake has been omicrons. Initially when they were rolling out occasionally on older characters as soft reworks is was actually exciting to see them trickled into the game. Lately though its just been throwing them all on to new characters. Nothing wrong with new characters having them, but it was just more exciting seeing some old characters and squads get a little new life breathed into them with omicrons. I don't think the game is on its death bed, but its definitely on a downward trajectory.

They absolutely tried to bully ahnald out of this game. People come and go that is true, but theres also a big factor that is: there hasnt been new content in this game since the introduced GAC. Content is a place to use the characters you collect, and there are 4 modes: GAC, TB, TW, and Raids. If you want you can count the arenas as well but i feel that nobody really plays thems. So Ahnald is an entertainer, he makes content by being funny and doing just that, entertaining. But if youre making more guide style content - theres nothing new. New TB maps (like ROTE) are not fundamentally new because its a reskin of an existing mode, TW has literally never changed, and neither has GAC. You could argue that there are new raids but the mechancis are so simple that this doesnt take more than a month to create (source: I am a software engineer). This game is a cash cow because the new things the put in take 0 effort, the infrastructure exists and the maintainence is really cheap, so theyre not gonna stop, why would they. But on the flip side, why would they add real new content? Its expensive, it increases maintenance cost, and - the worst thing - it increases expectations. In the minds of the devs and EA, this game makes money so they do the bare minimum to keep it going and dont actually care about it. If they did, there would be creativity in it. New maps for TW, new maps for GAC, new game modes to play. So I think youre right, this game isnt close to dying, but nobody really cares about it on the dev side. They probably didnt try to bully out creators recently but they used to try and still feud with Ahanld. They took away creators test accounts, they cut off all communications to the community other than with those creators that will not say a bad word about them, and theres much much more. They stopped trying to actively bully ahnald because they realized he wasnt leaving. But thats just another point that shows that they dont care. They chose not to speak to the content creator that is BY FAR the largest for their game. And its a shame that CG is the company that has access to this license because a more pationate creative team wouldve done a better job.

its not dieing and its not growing. as a new player point of view I see nothing but a money grab because theres no content , and what i mean as in no content is im not paying hundreds of dollars for 10 mins of game play everyday. not just that if you look at the Daily arenas, its nothing but 3-4 teams phoneix, dark troopers, ETC. so if you want to switch things up like bringing differnt teams into play it dont work. so you gotta compete against teams that been built up for years, and for you even to have a chance you gotta spends 1000's of dollars to bring your team up to the ones that been there for years. the match making is horrendous. my 600,000 Gp team playing in grand Arena agaisnt 6Mill GP rosters, what a joke

Not dead but I think they need to change a lot of things to prevent the game from dying, like how much of the game is intended to try and force you to spend money. Grand Arena matchmaking for example should be based on GP, and you can’t face anyone more or less than 500K GP from yours

Did people really forget all about the last GAC model, which was way worse than what we have today? This way everyone tried to keep their GP as low as possible while using the best methods for farming. In the end is wasn't skill based at all but who farmed the best characters most efficently.

I think people who are good at constructing a roster truly enjoyed the old GAC. And I'm not really sure why they couldn't still incentivize roster growth while also making GAC more competitive in the non-Kybers.

@@Nic-San I wasn’t around for that, but U hate to break it to you, that immediately sounds better than the current system because at least people are using some form of strategy to get competitive advantage, where as currently, my 2 million GP roster stands no chance against the 8 million GP roster I currently face. No amount of my own strategic ability or roster construction cleverness can save me, it’s not competitive at all. Why have a “skill rating” if it’s not determined by skill whatsoever?

@@the_undisputed_king_5395 just add brackets for lower tiers which can indeed be bound to GP like up until like 4/5 mil until it gets open end. It's basically only small GPs that suffer the most right now. Before it was almost everyone who didn't farm the newest toon in time without increasing their GP by to much. Also we had GAC feats which you had to do to even increase your ranking, like "kill someone while Vader and CUP are alive". If you didn't have said character there was almost no way to get into Kyber.
