Is Tacos El Gordo still the BEST in Vegas?

In this video we visit the legendary Tacos El Gordo located on the strip. This is one of the most iconically cheap food destinations in Las Vegas. In my opinion, they're some of the best tacos, not to mention how authentic it feels in there. I definitely recommend the Al Pastor (Adobada) tacos on your next visit. I promise it they will not disappoint.

I ate there the same year weed was legalized in nevada and walked by it on the way to the dispensary with my group for EDC. Seriously some of the best ive ever had, so happy it stays open late so when you are drunk or stoned it always hits the spot

I don't see myself venturing to the Strip much when I move to Las Vegas, especially since other videos tell me how bad the parking is but this place looks awesome. Nothing beats hand made tortillas. One of my favorite spots in Sparks does the same thing and I dream about those tortillas. So, I guess I'll take an Uber out there or something to experience Tacos El Gordo for myself!

I'm choosing the Speakeasy at the Mob Museum. Going down the stairs would definitely creep me out - liked the atmosphere down below - pic's on the wall gave me a Mobster vibe which is a time in history that intrigues me. Just from all the reading I've done, podcasts, video's, Vegas appeared to be a whole lot more fun when the mob ran it. They depended on vacationers to spend a lot of money thus treating them much better than today. Real informative vlog George - I know where I'm going on my next trip!

I went to the Charleston location and initially I was confused by the line system. Then I thought you need to bring friends to stand in the different lines if you want to try various meats, etc. Genius move by them!

I often think it's by design but having ran a food truck that sells tacos before I can understand how they would have different stations for different meats so maybe it was by accident lol still kind of annoying if you're by yourself

Taco El Gordo is good and convenient- late night on a Friday or Saturday it's a lively, party atmosphere. Tacos are very good, Tortillas made by hand, the meat carvers are pros, very welcoming atmosphere. For a quieter, off strip taco, have you tried Taco Y Taco? I prefer their Al Pastor. And no taco stop is complete without Harchata. Great video!

the best tacos EVER!!!! I absoutely LOVE the adobada fries with a side of the special green sauce for the adobada (the creamy one), it's the best bang for your buck, the fries are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The flavor of the pork is to die for

As a former local I had only tried El Gordo on Charleston Ave. On my visit last week I did the taco challenge. Ate at El Gordo, had 4 pastor tacos, amazing as I remember them. It was easy to order as the signs are bright and easy to read. Only negative for El Gordo was they do not have Mexican Coke. Following night tried Tacos Al Pastor which were not bad but not as good as Gordo. The spice they use seemed a little strong for the meat, and overwhelmed other parts of the taco, salsa etc. Plus for Tacos Pastor was they sell Mexican coke. They use TV screens for their signs directing you where to order. Multiple screens were dimmed and hard to read, so I was not sure where to order pastor, but eventually figured it out after the workers were done ignoring me. Cannot wait for more Gordo pastor tacos, closest to me is San Diego Gordo but doubt I will be in that area, will have to wait till October :( Nice work Jorge!!

Hi Jorge..., I heard through the grapevine on KZbin (3/8/2022)... that the prices have gone up on ( all ) food, and the cooks were told... to put less meat/beef on their tacos and dishes... However..., while inline ( ask the cook nicely ) for more meat/beef, they normally will work with you... * Excellent video and very informative, and thank you for sharing the video... What is wrong with the system is that if there's a lot of people once you get your tacos and then get in the pay line for your tacos by the time you sit down to actually enjoy your tacos they're cold.

I go to this place out by me in illinois. It's super cheap and so gooood. They put so much meat on them it's crazy. It's like 3* the amount you normally would get and they cover it entirely in lettuce, onion, cilantro, tomato, cheese and sour cream. So much that you can't even find the damn tacos. You have to dig to find them LMAO. I honestly don't even understand how they make a profit off of it, because they also give you like 3 sauces for each taco. So you get 9 big cups of sauce for 3 tacos. My girlfriend doesn't like it because she said there's too much meat. Not me though... you can order extra tortillas to make more tacos.

You stand in one line then you need to go to another line which is filled up from people coming from line outside.
