It's so good! There's a handful of Paleta shops out here. But I think this might be one of the very few that are gourmet. I haven't been to the others, but they are on my list for sure. Hoping to do some "research" before I recommend it.

Lengua is my favorite. L.A has the best Lengua tacos. I have a big crave for them. But they are harder to find now that I live in Nashville.

I love going to Las Vegas and trying new food options. I always wanted to try Tacos El Gordo. I went to their location across The Resorts World. Food smelled delicious. Place was crowded and very noisy, lines are very confusing and moving very very slow. I decided to leave the place. I went to their other location by the strip closer to the airport. They were seats available, lines to order were very confusing and moved very very slow. I left the place again. Too bad. I went to both places and was expecting a great experience, but that didn’t happen to me.

good eats! I'd like to see some of those out of the way homes converted into restaurants. you pay $8 to $10 and you walk out with a tin pan of food because it was too much to eat at once. 🙂

I've never had Ojos but I've had everything else on that menu (not at El Gordo, just growing up with my mexican family). This is on Sunset and LVB. Right next to Town Square.

I ate there once at the north strip location. The only downside was the walk back directly in to the sun in 110 degree heat with zero shade options. I only got basic tacos but that vampiro taco looks like something I need to try. Going to be there in 20 days so I am definitely doing this!

If you have a car, I'd highly suggest the south location. It's a few mins from the Las Vegas sign. 😁

I spent $40 on all our food. Since there was two of us it was $20 each and we had leftovers for dinner. (I only ordered that much to show in the video, normally I get way less). The last time I pulled up to McDonalds my meal was $18 and I had no leftovers. You can find cheaper tacos, that's for sure, but I still think the price is worth it due to the quality and amount of food you get.

It's worth it due to the quality and amount of food you get. They are pricey but still less then those tourist markups in the resorts. I saw a counter service spot in a resort charging $7 per taco. 😱 They are crazy!

Honestly dude, just stick with them (El Gordo). A couple months ago I ventured out to North and East Vegas to check other taco spots and I was floored how homies charged me the EXACT same price had I just gone to El Gordo. In fact, it was actually more expensive if you factor in the Uber back and fourth ride to the other spots. I had my own car, but still, not worth venturing out for tacos. Stick to El Gordo 100%.

They follow the way you order in Tijuana. Makes sense for the flow but when it's busy it sucks. Just go to the location I was at.. I've been going El gordo since 2012. Still love it even after the popularity. Love that they came from a small stand in Mexico and are doing big things in Vegas. 😁

High prices? If you venture outside the strip after you factor in the Uber costs and or gas, you can't beat it. A couple months ago I wanted to find similar quality tacos for less, but nah, homies outside the strip charge you the same had you just stayed in the strip. Hate to say it, but I'll choose the "rookie Vegas tourist" spot over anything outside the strip.... for tacos.

There's adobada which is pork and carne asada which is steak. That was everything I showed minus the one lengua taco. It's authentic Mexican. 🤷🏼‍♀️

been there. its just ok. not bad, but not the best i have had either. Taco Y Taco on south Eastern ave in Henderson is significantly better. also, Tony's on marks street in Henderson and on south fort Apache on the west side. there are 2 others location i have not been to yet, one on west lake mead, and one on west craig road. the Chili Verde Wet burrito is Incredible. there are also several street venders / food trucks that are better.

Somehow, I can’t associate tacos with Vegas. This places has really old school items, direct from Mexico. They have lengua, which is cow tongue. I would want to taste something which could taste back! My father would have loved this place….me, not so much! I am more of a traditional, carne, or pollo, with toppings and grac.

We have a lot of LA transplants here which thankfully bring the traditional authentic recipes with them! If a taco spot does not have pastor/adobada or lengua on the menu, I probably won't go lol. I grew up on those flavors tho. You can imagine how hard it was for us to find "comfort food" when we lived in FL. 🤣

Excellent choice of venue, I've long wondered what the fuss was all about, let's just say I'm glad I've never stood in line to see the offerings, the food may be tasty and delicious, but the eatability factor appears low, I hate struggling to keep it all together trying to eat anything 😫

Some of them where easy to ate then the others. The tacos for instance are super easy to pick up and eat without all the meat falling out. I like to think its a good sign that they are not being stingy on the meat if it's falling out of the tacos though.

Tacos El Gordo is the. Dumbest "restraint" in the city. Everything takes standing a separate line. Beef taco - line. Fries - line. Tostada - line.soda - line. Payment - line. No table wait for some one to leave. All tables are dirty. clean your own dam table.
