I did tarot for almost 14 years. I also was a witch at that time. I never used magick to hurt anyone, but to help them. God knew my intentions were good, but still the act was not. I can relate to this story. I was watching tarot readers even invested in my own tarot deck, plenty of crystals. I went on a journey to read the Bible from start to finish and I must admit it’s very hard to do as I’m still doing this. My point is, it’s definitely referenced in many books in the Bible about divination. Deuteronomy 18:10-12 & several others. Although I’ve come across readers that have good intentions, even myself having good intentions when I would read tarot for a few people. I was likened to Glenda the good witch by my friends and peers and when I was introduced they always called me a "white witch". People forget that Satan has power (not as much as God) and can mimic Gods gifts. Whether that be prophecy, healing, tongues. Satan takes God's gifts and twists them in ways that God never intended. I think tarot has been misconstrued and misunderstood and labeled as divination and fortune telling. When you think about it, our future relies on the decisions we make in the present moment. Tarot isn’t so much about “predicting the future” but about helping people understand the pain and patterning of their past, how these wounds effect their present , and ways to overcome that energy to create a better future . It’s an incredible tool that many may not understand and therefore cast judgement upon. I had a very similar experience! God sent me so many signs regarding tarot, and the one that helped me realize the truth was that everything in life has a balance. Good, evil. Ying, yang. Dark, light. For every dark tarot reader, there is one who reads from the light and puts forth that light into the world. I resonate with spirituality vs religion, personally. I was raised in a Christian cult. "The one true religion." Pretty much everything was considered bad except for all of the dirty secrets they were hiding. I always felt like i didn't belong there. But that was a place I had to be before I could truly connect with God. If God was speaking to me then, I was blocking from receiving the messages. Now God speaks to me all the time in all kinds of ways. You have to open yourself up to receive gods messages. Divination means to communicate with the divine. The divine is god. When I became a born again christian and I was receiving spiritual experiences all the rest of the church, including the pastors, told that my experiences came from the devil. I was bombarded by this so much that I asked who they were baptised for, Jesus or the devil. They replied " Jesus of course!" To which I added : " Then why do you give the devil so much floor space, as to me you show a complete lack of faith in Jesus." There are people in the churches that are not of God and they will constantly discourage people to separate them from him so that they themselves appear to shine. They are those grievous wolves that Jesus warned us about. If you do things with love and compassion you are with God and he bestows special spiritual gifts upon you, just as you have confirmed.

Funny you say that because I had a near death experience where I was shown I would start my spiritual journey as a tarot reader. Tarot, if you study it, started in the 1400’s as a game, 1600’s was turned to occult views by HUMANS, and 1900’s as a TOOL to connect with God. Every card in tarot has symbolism of Christianity and Judaism. The lovers card is arch angel Gabriel with Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden. The judgement card is the trumpet being blown with souls evolving into what Christian’s call “the rapture”. My entire life has been built to mimicking Jesus’ life and he showed me that. He grew up Jewish, denied by Jews and accepted by the gentiles. I grew up Christian with a preacher for a father only to be denied from my Christian pastor when I told him of my experiences to be accepted by a Buddhist monk who taught me to pray. My mother Mary, died on 11/19/15 and my brother Joshua (Yeshua pronounced in JC’s time died at age 33 on Good Friday of 2016. 3/25/16. I had a near death experience where Jesus took over my body and had me experience his death, my brothers, my mothers and so many more. You are absolutely wrong about this.
