i enjoyed the hell out of this game as a kid. i was a few years younger than my brother so he got a lot more enjoyment out of gran turismo at the time. but, i highly suggest taking a look at the drag race part of the game, its were i spent most of my time.

Still my favorite racing game soundtrack. Junkie XL on the loading screen and Gravity Kills in the first race - please tell me you didn't skip the intro FMV with Pitchshifter, as that's a 'no skip' up there with NFS:HP2 and PGR4...

At this point, your first car being a '99 Eclipse is worth more street cred than a Mustang, plus if you started with a Mustang, you'd be less likely to live to tell us about it now...

It was always hard to find someone to fix that eclipse back in the day because it was a foreign made car and with mustang being ford it probably would have been easier in that sense but I digress, I hear you 🤗

DSM (Diamond Star Motors) Eclipses were made in partnership with Chrysler, and built in Normal, Illinois - if your car was a base model coupe, it would've had a Chrysler motor, instead of the Mitsubishi motors on higher trims - if ya had difficulty finding people to work on it, they either didn't know what they were talking about, or possibly funnier, they DID know it's an American-built car, and refused to work on it because it was a Chrysler...
