@@ryanmccarthy8625 yes but not for the past couple of years. Katy only won by 1 touchdown against The Woodlands and Dickinson last year. The woodlands losing in the 1st round of the playoffs in division 1 while Dickinson lost in round 2 of division 1. Katy also has been known to only win their state titles in division 2. When Katy plays in division 1 they do not even reach the state championship. And to add, Katy loses wayyyyyy too many players from last year to be competitive with other top teams in the Houston area this upcoming year. North shore, Westfield, Atascocita and The Woodlands all look much better than Katy this upcoming year.

I will say this on Texas behalf they probably have more good teams than Cali, because they don't have these super team private schools and most kids go to public schools which makes the overall teams more balanced. Here in Cali, the private schools get 90% of the top players and 70% play in the Trinity league. So it's harder to create a super team in Texas than in Cali because they are a public school system that has public school rules.

Abel Cruz Cedar Hill also lost in the first round of the playoffs. These are not good teams you are mentioning. Yeah, Cedar Hill had one of the best WRs in the country for 2 years then he graduated. Flash in the pan, you won't hear from Cedar Hill again. Bishop Gorman also recruits nationally. Texas schools do not. It's the Katy, Westlake, even Judson and Allen, actual programs you gotta worry about. Shitty teams with 1 good athlete - that's not a program.
